Darwin Forest Country Park
Darwin Forest in the heart of the Peak District is one of our most popular lodge parks and has won several awards including the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation and the Hoseasons "Best in Britain 2009". The site has an excellent range of facilities and an enviable setting between Matlock and Bakewell in the Derbyshire Dales. Local attractions include the beautiful and historic Chatsworth House and the stunning Peak District National Park.
At the heart of the site the amazing Evolution Leisure Centre is sure to impress and has a large indoor swimming pool, gym, spa, steam room and sauna as well as massage and beauty therapy facilities. Other facilities include the children's adventure playground, games room and amusements.
Your fully insulated pine lodge is warm and snug in winter cool in the heat of summer and discreetly positioned within the beautiful woodland setting. There are many types of lodge to choose from including the cosy Hideaway lodge which is perfect for couples and has one double bedroom. The Elvaston is a spacious one bedroom lodge with a sauna and dishwasher. The Peveril Lodge is outstanding and perfect for families with three bedrooms, and a kitchen equipped with dishwasher and washing machine.

Fun Days Out in Derbyshire

This unique farm makes a great day out for families with young children and also couples who enjoy getting out and exploring. With an array of farm animals including goats, pigs and sheep this farm is a popular attraction in the Etwall area of Derbyshire. Apart from the animals there are fun activities to take part in such as collecting and grading your own eggs and a hay play area for the little ones. The farm tea room serves drinks, cakes and light bites, the place to go when you are in need of a rest and a hot drink.

This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire. With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children. The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families. Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days. |

Gulliver's Kingdome is a family friendly theme park offering many attractions for children of all ages. The site is rather unique and features a huge array of rides including log flumes, roller coasters and pirate ships. For the little ones there are rides such as the veteran cars and the balloon wheel and Diego and Dora the Explorer are on hand to make sure they are having a great time. Between the 21st and 31st of October the park becomes a spooky Halloween spectacular with a range of shows and fireworks to enjoy. Standard prices are £12.00 for adults and children over 90cm. Group booking discounts are available.
