Quarry Walk Park
Set off the beaten track in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Quarry Walk Park is a haven for wildlife and visitors alike. The beautiful log cabins are surrounded by 46 acres of woodland grass and heather with nature trails, cycle paths and woodland walks to enjoy.
The site has a fantastic location just 6 miles from the town of Uttoxeter with its famous race course. The region is home to a huge array of attractions including Alton Towers, Dovedale Valley and Shugborough Hall which are all less than 10 miles from the park. Cycle hire and boat trips are available along the Calden Canal and offer an excellent way to explore the area. Those seeking adrenaline boosting activities can enjoy rock climbing, hang gliding and boating at Rudyard Reservoir. Facilities onsite include a Launderette and shop and there is also a barbecue area for alfresco dining.
Accommodation at Quarry Walk Park is in spacious lodges and there are several to choose from. The Squirrel Lodges are more basic but still offer a high standard of accommodation and have private hot tubs. The Woodpecker Lodges were new in 2007 and are very luxurious with four poster beds and hot tubs. All of the lodges have well equipped kitchens and are well appointed around the site.

With family fun for everyone a trip to this farm makes a memorable day out in Staffordshire. Some highlights of the day might include the chicks and ducklings in a basket, goat kid walking, bottle feeding the lambs or bunny brushing. Located in the Tamworth area of Stafforshire this attraction is easy to get to. Look out for special events taking place throughout the year including weekend and school holidays when extra activities may be organised. Don't forget to meet Chirpy while you are there - the extra large chick!

This is a really unique opportunity to see the fantastic work going on at this centre. The purpose of the British Wildlife Rescue Centre is to treat and care for injured wildlife which cannot be released into the wild. Many of the animals are brought to the centre by members of the public or the RSPCA. Visit their website to see the picture gallery and to find out how to help if this is something which interests you. There are also regular fundraising events such as the Sponsered Leg Wax.
