Gary - Aug 2022
"We had a great two weeks here at Longnor. The staff were really friendly, helpful and shared local information on arrival as well. The Caravan was fantastic - so nice to have more space in bedroom and loads of storage space. We spent most of the time walking and cycling in the local area and then came back to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day. A really quiet site which was just what we wanted."
Susan - Jul 2022
"Lovely relaxing 4 days. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. Loved seeing the wildlife too."
Sandra - Jul 2022
"Perfect location within easy reach of so many locations. The Dragon's Back, Mamtor, Monsal Trail etc etc the list is endless. Coming back to the hottub at the end of a long hike was the icing on the cake ?"
Samantha - Jul 2022
"A lovely quiet site the caravan we stayed in was very well presented and clean would definitely book again"
Richard - Jul 2022
"Fab holiday. Well equipped Lodge and extremely helpful staff"
Margaret - Jul 2022
"so relaxing in a beautiful location"
Lynn - Jul 2022
"What a fantastic stay. The site was immaculate, the sfaff were friendly and the caravan was perfect, the hot tub was a brilliant way to end the day exploring. We will definitely be back."
Lorna - Jul 2022
"Lovely quiet site in a beautiful area. The lodge was well equipped and spacious. The site staff were accommodating and a housekeeper showed us around the lodge on arrival. There was a problem with the bed being made up as a double instead of 2 singles, but they sorted this out within 30 mins for us. The site loaned us a BBQ at no charge, which I thought was generous as it was gas powered and some cost would be incurred by them. There is a small shop on site in reception where you can get some essentials and ice cream, and there is an information point with lots of leaflets and DVDs. There are a few areas which could be improved. The ensuite shower in our lodge was dire - very little pressure. There was also a bit of a noise in the bedroom from either the boiler or water pipes on the wall behind the bed. Also the site should really consider providing free and unlimited wi-fi site wide or at least to the lodges that have paid a hefty price. We have stayed in numerous lodges (often in remote areas) over the years and it pretty much is the norm to have wifi and streaming/netflix in them now."
Kathryn - Jul 2022
"As described we got exactly what we were promised"
John - Jul 2022
"Park is very good and well maintained."
EWAN - Jul 2022
"Beautiful, quiet, relaxing just perfect ?"
Bryony - Jul 2022
"Brilliant relaxing break. Accomodation spacious and spotlessly clean. Felt very safe."
Wendy - Aug 2020
"A lovely relaxing holiday in a beautiful part of the country"
Steve - Aug 2020
"I had a lovely break at Longnor holiday park. The area is very picturesque. My dogs loved the fenced in dog field. The park and accommodation was lovely and clean. There was no problem social distancing. I will definitely be going back."
Sandra - Aug 2020
"Lodge was great, very spacious and clean. Everything u needed was there including a washing machine and even the oven trays were pre-linned!"
Nathan - Aug 2020
"The lodge is fantastic for a couple, lots of space and well appointed. Good bed and functional kitchen area. The bathroom is small and shower not really big enough and without a door makes showering difficult to avoid soaking the bathroom floor. (a sliding door would be a better idea).
Overall if you want a week away in a quality lodge this fits the bill."
Myles - Aug 2020
"Beautiful place lots of walks near by would definitely visit again"
Dawn - Aug 2020
"Clean, well equipped, peaceful."
Tammy - Jul 2020
"If you need a holiday during this pandemic recommended."
Stephen - Jul 2020
"Amazing holiday and will definitely be returning as much as we can! Lovely caravan and really enjoyed the hot tub."
Oliver - Jul 2020
"Loved every second of it!"
Morgan - Jul 2020
"A superb stay, particularly during current times. The lodge was spotlessly clean and had been properly sterilised before we arrived. Booking in was done over the phone the day before and when we arrived at Longnor Wood, keys and directions were easily available in a dedicated hut with our name on. The park is great if you want to get away from it all for a few days and enjoy the rolling countryside of the White Peak. Hot tub excellent with the water conditions checked everyday. Not a great mobile signal, unless you are on EE (which I am so had a great signal for calls, emails and streaming). WiFi available but not suitable streaming movies etc. Take Longnor Wood as a chance for a "digital detox" and you will not go far wrong. Pack yourself off for a few days, you won't regret it."
Mike - Jul 2020
"Best weeks relaxing holiday we have Gp had for a long time x x"
Michelle - Jul 2020
"Excellent holiday, will definitely be back"
Katie - Jul 2020

Jade - Jul 2020
"Everything was perfect. Would definitely come back here again if I fancy going for walks round the Peak district"
Aaron - Jul 2020
"Perfect, can't wait to book again."
Rox - Mar 2020

Alton Towers - ST10 4DB
about 12 Miles
Of course you can't mention attractions in Staffordshire without featuring the fabulous Alton Towers theme park.  The rides range from thrilling to quite simply terrifying although there are more gentle family rides for the little ones.  All ages are catered for here.  Some of the most famoue rides include Th13teen, Air, The Blade and Nemesis.  There is also a waterpark on site for some splashtastic fun. Look out for seasonal events taking place throughout the year such as Wonderful Winter, Pirate Weekend and The Ultimate Fireworks Event.  Check out their website for the latest admission costs and save money by booking your tickets online.
Gullivers Kingdom - DE4 3NT
about 14 Miles
This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family.  From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal.  The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.
Heights of Abraham - DE4 3PT
about 14 Miles
This unique attraction combines an array of activities.  If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about.  Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system.  You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views.  You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.
Gulliver's Kingdome - WA5 9YZ
about 14 Miles
Gulliver's Kingdome is a family friendly theme park offering many attractions for children of all ages. The site is rather unique and features a huge array of rides including log flumes, roller coasters and pirate ships. For the little ones there are rides such as the veteran cars and the balloon wheel and Diego and Dora the Explorer are on hand to make sure they are having a great time. Between the 21st and 31st of October the park becomes a spooky Halloween spectacular with a range of shows and fireworks to enjoy. Standard prices are £12.00 for adults and children over 90cm. Group booking discounts are available.
Denby Visitor Centre - DE5 8NX
about 22 Miles

British Wildlife Rescue Centre - TN8 7AR
about 22 Miles
This is a really unique opportunity to see the fantastic work going on at this centre.  The purpose of the British Wildlife Rescue Centre is to treat and care for injured wildlife which cannot be released into the wild.  Many of the animals are brought to the centre by members of the public or the RSPCA.  Visit their website to see the picture gallery and to find out how to help if this is something which interests you.  There are also regular fundraising events such as the Sponsered Leg Wax.
Crazy Crocodiles Indoor Play & Party Centre - LL30 1DR
about 27 Miles
This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire.  With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children.  The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families.  Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days.
Rosliston Forestry Centre - DE12 8JX
about 30 Miles
Rosliston Forestry Centre is a beautiful woodland site with tranquil areas for Fishing as well as some beautiful meadows and a lake. Other available events taking place this year include an Archery drop in session, a Christmas Crafting Afternoon and a Mince Pie and Mulled Wine Walk.
Go Ape Cheshire - WA16 6RW
about 32 Miles
Out of all of the Go Ape! courses the one in Cheshire is the most spread out and it takes staff ten minutes to patrol the site on bike - which gives a good indication of the size of this place.  If you're looking for an adventurous and memorable day out then Go Ape is highly recommended.  Trek through the treetops, swing between the trees and enjoy zip wire rides all as part of your experience.  This attraction opens every day from the end of March to end October and is open on weekends in November.  Go Ape Cheshire is closed every Tuesday except school holidays.
Gulliver's World Theme Park - WA5 9YZ

When you are in need of a rest head for the The Hungry Shepherd Tea Room where you can enjoy a bite to eat and children can burn even more energy in the indoor play area.
