We had an amazing weekend staying in the Chestnut Cabin. Our 2 year old dog loved exploring the woods & we also had 2 trips to Sherwood Forest which is only an 8 minute drive away. Well definitely be returning to Redbrick Woodland Lodges! Perfect location, perfect size!

This is a traditional style lodge which we really liked and was very clean and well maitained. We had no issues while we were staying. The lodge was lovely and warm and the bathrooms were very good with plenty of hot water.

Lovely lodge with perfect amount of facilities for a quiet break away.
Well maintained and clean with lovely helpful staff on site. Local amenities and supermarket within driving distance.
Would definitely recommend
The lodge itself is just lovely with the vaulted ceilings and impressive space. It has everything you need for a relaxing break with the family or friends and is one of the best I have personally visited. The site is small with limited facilities but it depends on what you want, it wasn't a negative for us. We visited the on-site restaurant for drinks and a Sunday roast which was good. Overall, a fabulous lodge that we will certainly return to in the future.
Denby visitor centre is a fun day out in the Derbyshire region with an array of activities iunder one roof. An all weather attraction you can take pottery tours, see cookery demonstrations and visit Bourne's restaurant. There are events and offers on throughout the year for example the Denby factory Shops sale where you can save £££s and October Creepy Crypt for Halloween where you can go along in fancy dress and have your face painted. This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire. With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children. The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families. Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days.
This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family. From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal. The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.
This unique attraction combines an array of activities. If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about. Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system. You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views. You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.
