About Sherwood Forest Lodges

These luxury lodges in the Nottinghamshire area have an amazing location in the biggest area of woodland in Sherwood Forest.  With the most stunning forest views and an abundance of cycle trails and walks, these lodges will really appeal to lovers of nature and outdoor activities.  Some popular activities on site include mountain biking and hire and ranger led walks which are available at extra cost.

The play areas within the forest will keep the children entertained and of course there is plenty of outdoor space to play and run off some energy.  The whole family can enjoy the walks and cycle trails as well as the local market towns which are ideal for days out.

There is a good selection of accommodation on offer to suite different styles and budgets.  The Golden Oak lodges are the most luxurious of all with bath robes and luxury toileteries as an added bonus.  The Golden Oak 2 sleeps 4 adults with a master double bedroom and one twin bedroom.  There is also a log burning stove and plenty of mod cons to make your stay a comfortable one.  The Golden Oak 3 is a very similar lodge but sleeps 6 with one master double bedroom and two twin rooms.  Both of the Golden Oak lodges come with private outdoor hot tubs.

We also love the Silver Birch lodges which provide a luxury base for your lodge holiday.  The Silver Birch 2 is ideal for romantic breaks and special occasions and comes with a private outdoor hot tub.  The Silver Birch 3 is slightly larger and sleeps 6, also with an outdoor hot tub.

The Copper Beech 2 lodge is excellent value for money and sleeps 4.  This is a spacious lodges with one double and one twin bedroom. All of the lodges are equipped with a flatscreen TV, entertainment system and dishwasher as standard.

Sherwood Forest Lodges are ideally located for days out and we recommend Sherwood Forest Fun Park less than 3 miles from the lodges as well as Wheelgate Adventure Park around 4 miles away.  Crich Tramway Village in Matlock is also well worth a visit.

Lucy - Jan 2020
"Our chalet was neat and well kept, and the hot tub was well maintained throughout our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were comfy and clean!"
Katie - Jan 2020
"I had the best time in the lodge, it was such a serene place and the staff were so freindly and helpful and just overall great. They really made the experience. The only thing I would say is there is absolutely no lighting outside the cabin and it's difficult to get around. We had a chef and a masseue come by teh cabin and had to help them navigate to our cabin at night and it's just pitch black and a little horrifying.

Would stay here again but would also recommend just some groung level lighting around the cabin. Just like solar powered garding lights you can stick in the ground."
Sashoy - Dec 2019
"The accommodation looked spotless but we did find an empty pop bottle under the bed, which was ours.
It was comfy with everything that we needed for our break."
Claire - Dec 2019
"Forest setting is lovely and added extras (fondue machine with marshmallows and chocolate, popcorn machine with kernels and toppings) are a nice touch.

However, for the price we did not expect cracked tiles with visible holes in the kitchen floor, or holes in the wall in the bathroom where the old toilet holder used to be."
Stacie - Nov 2019
"We stayed in the hideaway golden oak for three nights! Absolute gorgeous cabin and so Cosy!! Heated flooring through the cabin really made a different making the cabin so warm and cosy all the time! Definately coming back time and time again!!"
