Benson Waterfront Reviews

"We had a lovely, relaxing weekend!"
Paige - Aug 2022
"Had an Amazing weekend break at this delightful caravan/lodge. Ever so clean and all the home comforts you could need in the property (and more…even bathrobes to use when you get out the tub!). Staff were really friendly and helpful, and it’s such a beautiful peaceful location, owith stunning walks in all directions, cafe/restaurant on site and local towns nearby with more to offer. Would highly recommend. Thanks for a lovely time."
Stacey - Jul 2022
"We enjoyed our stay. The loge & hot tub was amazing & very clean. Staff are very friendly & helpful, always on hand. Just would like to say the hot tub well matained. But Just disappointed it had a small leak, and the view of the river was not good, because of the trees & the caravans that was phich up in front of our loge."
Marie - Jul 2022
"Fab place to stay we will definitely be back. Great attention to detail within the lodge all the little things thought of"
Julia - Jul 2022
"We stopped here for a week and we absolutely loved our stay. We didn’t experience any problems whilst there so unable to comment on this. The lodge was very clean and had everything you could need to self cater. We used the Waterfront cafe which is adjacent to the lodge site and found it be be reasonable and what we ate was good. We also used the pub in the village finding the service / food excellent. There is a bus stop in front of the Waterfront cafe car park so you can access Oxford, Reading and lots of other places without having to use the car. We can not see hunk of a bad thing to say about these lodges, hopefully to return soon"
Deborah - Jul 2022
"A lovely lodge with hot tub in a beautiful riverside setting. Close to local attractions, but secluded in its own way. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice bistro within easy walking distance."

"Great lodges in beautiful location. Very clean and well maintained. Couldn't fault them."

Sophie - Jan 2020
"Great time will be going again"
Simon - Jan 2020
"Excellent stay!
Just needed a hairdryer.

Otherwise fully equipped!"
Mercedes - Jan 2020
"The cabin was really spacious and well equipped, the walk-in wardrobe was an added bonus.
The hot tub was full size, probably could fit about 6 people, but there were just 2 of us - so was plenty of room.
We had a great view of the river from the veranda, and hot tub.
There were camping pitches right outside, which did mean that the veranda and hot tub area wasn't quite as private as I would have liked. We were there in January, so very few people were camping, but had it been summer I imagine it would be very busy and might spoil the experience a bit - which is the reason I have only scored 9 for location.
Otherwise, everything was great!"
Laura - Jan 2020
"Could have done with a sofa bed like the one bedded lodges"
Gillian - Jan 2020
"Fab time will return"
Carolyn - Jan 2020
"Great views of the river."
Paul - Dec 2019
"A lovely and enjoyable stay."
Pam - Nov 2019
"Very relaxing break shame about the caravans ruining the beautiful view of the Thames."
Mark - Nov 2019
"Lovely will visit again."
Joanna - Nov 2019
"Great short break. Great value for money."
Inderjit - Nov 2019
"Fabulous lodge inside and out. lovely location. My only criticism was that our hot tub (lodge 1) had a roll back top which was very difficult to open and close from the decked area. I would suggest a fold back option as in the other lodges. Everything else was perfect."
Verified Guest - Oct 2019
"Excellent good value for Money, would defently go back again"
Emma - Oct 2019
"We totally loved our 4 day break the only thing that let it down was the caravans parked up outside the lodge spoilt the beautiful view"
Samantha - Sep 2019
"Beautiful setting , well maintained and spacious cabin with a great hot tub.
Great place to relax and unwind.

There is a busy main road nearby and you can hear the traffic from the cabin, however the riverside setting more than compensates for this.

Lovely walks from the cabin along the banks of the River Thames and also nearby in the Chilterns"
David - Aug 2019
"Wonderful time booked again for new year break"
Gillian - Jul 2019
"Excellent, only one minor point we were in No 4 and had to go outside to get WIFI. No big deal to us but could be to some people"
Patricia - Jun 2019
"Great lodge with good facilities! Very clean!"
Babs - Jun 2019
"A lovely location on the bank of the river, comfortable, large & well equipped accommodation (apart from no hair dryer). Wonderful hot tub which we used every day, but some screening around for privacy would have been good. Friendly, helpful manager. The description on the website undersold this beautiful holiday. Given the chance, we'd certainly come again."
Margaret - May 2019
"Brilliant, would definitely go back again. I only down scored the location due to trees shading the decking and caravans blocking slightly blocking the view from the decking."
Emma - May 2019
"As with others, the caravans in front of us was a spoiler. Otherwise a great holiday."
Arlene - May 2019
"Well equipped for two. A lot of windows and awkward blinds but acceptable."
William - Apr 2019

Attractions Near Benson Waterfront

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Benson Waterfront. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Pendon Indoor Model Village and Railways - OX12 8EA
about 4 Miles
This is an all weather attraction in Abingdon, Oxfordshire which will appeal to all ages.  The model trains are fascinating to watch and we love the model village in the Vale Scene.  The exhibits have been well thought out and it's a pleasure to wander around this museum looking at everything on offer.  You can be assured of a warm welcome from the moment you arrive and for kids and adults alike this makes a fun and educational day out.
Farmer Gows - SN7 8DA
about 20 Miles
Farmer Gows is a recommended attraction in the Faringdon area of Oxfordshire and will be especially suited to families with young children.  The little ones will love coming to see the farm animals including pigs, cows and lambs.  The meet the animals session takes place every day and includes handling the animals, walking the goats, feeding the pigs and cows and egg collecting.  Look out for special seasonal events throughout the year such as the Halloween Party, Lambing and children's workshops.  The latest news from the farm is that they have some Saddleback piglets and Speckledy chicks arriving shortly.
Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens - OX18 4JP
about 25 Miles
This has to be one of the most popular days out in Oxfordshire and is sure to appeal to nature lovers, animal lovers and keen gardeners.  Families and couples will enjoy wandering around this amazing park with a wide variety of mammals and birds to see as well as reptiles. Some of the most popular animals are the Burrowing Owl, Dexter Cow, African Pancake Tortoise and the Bar Headed Goose.  Check out their website for the latest admission costs and special offers.
Studley Grange Garden and Leisure Park - SN4 9QT
about 31 Miles
Studley Grange Garden and Leisure Park is a fantastic attraction based in Swindon, Wiltshire.  For nature lovers and those who like to get out and explore this is the perfect day out.  It's also an all weather attraction with Butterfly World being part of the site.  Butterfly World is kept at around 85 degrees year round so this makes a perfect place to visit in all seasons. A visit to the Craft Village is also recommended where there are a wide range of handcrafted gifts.
Catanger Llama Trekking - NN12 8LJ
about 34 Miles
This is a really unique attraction and certainly worth a visit in our opinion.  Established in 1995 and situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside this attraction will appeal to those looking for something a little different.  You can't ride the animals but you can trek alongside them and enjoy the fantastic scenery.  From farm tracks to country lanes the gentle animals will carry your rucksack for you along the way.  There are personally guided treks available all year round and you will have your own Llama for the trek.
RHS Garden Wisley - GU23 6QB
about 34 Miles
RHS Garden Wisley is an excellent choice for a day trip, offering excellent value for money all year round. A yearly membership is available so visitors can take advantage of the parks attractions as often as they wish. On entry to the park visitors can pick up a family trail which offers suggestions of places within the grounds to visit and explains all the fun things to do in the garden. There are many areas to explore including the beautiful Rose Garden, the amazing Glasshouse and the Café which served home made locally sourced food.
Chessington World of Adventures - KT9 2NE
about 39 Miles
Chessington World of Adventures has a well deserved reputation and one of the best theme parks in the UK the site is crammed with rides for adrenaline junkies including Vampire rollercoaster which fly's through Transylvania and the Tomb Blaster which is not for the faint hearted the site also boasts a fantastic Sea Life Centre and a range of attractions for younger children including daily shows and talks.
