Yellowtop Country Park has been described as a tranquil and stylish retreat and we certainly agree. With an intimate setting overlooking a pretty lake these lodges are ideal for a peaceful break in the York area. For days out there is the beautiful city of York close by full of sight seeing opportunities, cafes, bars and shops.
The shopping in York is unique as you will find a mix of high street shops as well as charming boutiques in the Shambles area of the city centre. If you enjoy getting out and exploring then there are some fantastic walks in the area and you have easy access to the stunning Yorkshire Wolds.
The lodges at Yellowtop Country Park provide a luxury base for your stay. The Wild Oats Lodge and the Harvest Lodge Plus both come with private outdoor hot tubs. The Harvest Lodge Plus sleeps up to 5 with one double and one twin bedroom. A Z bed is available for an extra person. This is a superb lodge and will appeal to the discerning traveller.
For couples the Wild Oats Lodge is ideal being a cosy retreat for two. There is a king size four poster bed and the patio doors lead from the bedroom to the private outdoor hot tub. All lodges come with TV/DVD, wifi access, well equipped kitchen, patio furniture and BBQ stands. Family parties only are welcome at these lodges.

Fun Days Out in Vale of York

This fun maze will keep the whole family entertained although there are plenty of other activities on site to keep the kids amused. Some of the best attractions include the electric quad bikes, sand and play water zones, tractor trailer rides and the animal farm. As well as being easy to get to the York Maze offers great value for money. The indoor cafe is really handy when you want a bit to east or a hot drink. They serve hot and cold food, home made sandwiches and salad boxes so there are healthy options too.

Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out. It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys. Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo. Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.
