The site boasts its own well stocked coarse fishing lake and is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday or romantic escape. The site is very peaceful and has been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation making it very popular with nature lovers.

Just 6 miles away is the vibrant city of York offering a host of visitor attractions. The splendour of the North York Moors with its famous steam railway, the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, historic castles, stately homes and theme parks are among the numerous treasures within an hour's drive.

There are no less than 11 types of lodge available at Goose Wood, so there is bound to be something to suit your needs. Couples or small families may opt for the cosy Goldfinch Lodge which sleeps up to 3 people. Larger groups may go for something like the Chaffinch A or Greenfinch B which sleep up to 6 people. For a touch of luxury the Kingfisher B and Treetops Lodges have private outdoor hot tubs.
