Westfield Lakeland Lodges are a tranquil haven located in a beautiful corner of the East Yorkshire coastline. The modern and very luxurious log lodges are well appointed around beautifully landscaped grounds amidst 43 acres of tranquil farmland. All of the lodges are situated alongside or close to well stocked fishing lakes so coarse fishing can be enjoyed literally from the doorstep.

Just a short walk will bring you to a small village with shops and a post office. The seaside resorts of Hornsea and Withernsea are both within 8 miles and offer a range of traditional attractions including amusements. Slightly further away the tourist hot spots of Beverley Bridlington, Scarborough and York are well worth a visit.

For couples looking for a romantic escape the Westfield Holly Lodge is a good choice. This spacious lodge has one bedroom with four poster bed and a deluxe private hot tub. Larger groups or families may opt for the Westfield Chestnut which has three bedrooms as well as a hot tub. The Westfield Oak is an outstanding two bedroom lodge with a four poster bed in one room and twin beds in the other making it ideal for families who are looking for spacious, luxurious holiday accommodation.

Fun Days Out in Yorkshire Moors and Coast

Betton Farm Visitor Centre is the ideal attraction close to the North Yorkshire coastal town of Scarborough. This animal farm has all the cute farm animals you would expect to see and will appeal to younger children especially.  A great place to both play and learn we think the Betton Farm Visitor centre is great value for money.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs.  Some of the highlights of the day might include meeting Sofie the Shetland Pony and Henry the goat, as well as the pot bellied pigs called Porky and Hammy.
Located in the Scalby Mills area of Scarborough this makes a fun family day out for those who are interested in marine life. The fantastic ocean tank is well worth seeing - it's been transformed into a Turtle Reef and you can see an amazing array of colourful reef fish and coral. You may also catch a glimpse of the tropical sharks and turtles. Offering good value for money this is a day out with a difference and an all weather attraction.
This attraction is ideal for sunny days as the beautiful park is ideal for wandering out and taking in the scenery.  You can hire boats including rowing boats and canoes to enjoy the views from the water.  The pedalos with the dragon heads are always a popular choice too. Look out for special events including the Battle of Peasholm Park Naval Battle which has been described as a "must see".  You can also take a ride on the North Bay Railway which will delight children.
