As the name would suggest the lodges have been designed around impressive and well stocked pleasure and match fishing lakes catering for all ages and abilities. There is a superb new contemporary bar and restaurant which also offers occasional weekend light entertainment.

There is also plenty to see and do in the local area with cathedral cities of York and Ripon both within easy reach. If its a day on the coast you're looking for then the popular resorts of Scarborough and Whitby can be reached in just over an hour taking in some of the most breathtaking scenery and picture postcard villages en route.

There are four types of lodge to choose from at Woodland Lakes. All were brand new in 2009 and are very well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The Chestnut lodge is a good choice for a romantic break and has one bedroom and an out door hot tub. The Birch Lodge is larger and perfect for families and sleeps up to six. The lodge is two storeys making it spacious and it has a balcony with stunning views. It also has a hot tub. The Poplar lodge is also two storey and very contemporary in design. It sleeps up to four people and has an outside furnished area and hot tub.

Oakwood Lodges are luxurious and contemporary with private outdoor decking, hot tubs and an easy drive from the historic city of York.
