Fingle Glen Lodges Reviews

"Good value for money, not much to fault. Bear in mind it is a golf course, so it doesn’t really have a kiddie play area. It’s about 30-40 minute drive to the beach, farms, parks etc Enjoyed our stay, good value for money. One gripe is they try and sting you an extra 5quid a day for WiFi. This is a con and something standard that needs to be in the price. Also not all the jets on the hottub work, and self clean isn’t very efficient."
Vincent - Apr 2022
"Such an amazing location. The staff were absolutely excellent. Very friendly and so helpful. Big thank you to all. We will definitely be back!!!"
Chris - Apr 2022
"The lodges are lovely, and the staff very friendly and helpful. We came away with our 10 year old son and grandma and the 2 bedroom lodge was perfect for us. Would definitely recommend and will be back! The meal we had at the club was delicious and brilliant that you get a discount as a resident. Such good value for the quality of food. Perfectly located, close to Exeter and lovely seaside towns. Lots to do!"
Marie - Feb 2022
"Really great lodge! The two bed we stayed in was massive. All the facilities you need are there, especially kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster) as well as TV with free view channels. No wifi though. Hot tub was great! Located right by the lodge’s front door. Could adjust temperature, lights etc. Parking right by the lodge too - useful. Location great too. About 10-15mins drive from Exeter where there’s loads of restaurants, good high street, the Quay, historic areas. Overall great experience, 10/10."
Agne - Nov 2021
"Relaxing break in the fabulous surroundings of the golf course. Neat and clean."
Rashmi - Jul 2020
"Hot tub was cold when we arrived at 5pm, we had been told it would be ready so dissapointed it didn't get up to temperature on the first night.

Lids hinge was broken and dangerous.

As we had to depart before 9am the hot tub was emptied at 8am meaning we couldn't use on departure day either. Good job we stayed 4 nights as staying forc2 night would have meant hot tub not really accessible."
Nicola - Jul 2020
"We were lucky as being retired we were able to take advantage of seasonal discounted rates."
David - Sep 2018
"Extremely happy will most definitely be using again above expectations for us highly recommend"

Natasha - Jun 2018
"This is the second time we have booked this lodge would certainly book again so peaceful and relaxing"
Geoffrey - Jun 2018
"Apart from the things we weren't happy with it is a great place."
Sally - May 2018
"Fantastic location for a peaceful getaway with close friends. Layout means you have a lot of privacy. Lovely spacious lodge, more than ample facilities inside (full oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, shower and bath etc). Very clean inside. Hot tub was fantastic, at temperature when we arrived and the chemical levels were checked every day by a member of staff. Love the outside seating area. Will definitely be returning.
Only negative would be that the waitress service in the club restaurant could have been better - staff didn't appear familiar with the drinks available or the menu and they didn't appear to communicate very well with each other. However the food was lovely."
Samantha - Apr 2018
"Overall maintenance needs a little tlc. Some minor problems eg bathroom sink not draining, broken wardrobe all reported to reception otherwise good accommodation."
Peter - Apr 2018
"Very comfortable lodge"
Roger - Mar 2018
"Would def go back again !"
Steven - Feb 2018
"Lovely cabin which is much bigger than it looks, overlooks Hole 1 on the golf course but due to the time of year we visited, this wasn't an issue as until the Monday morning no-one was playing golf.
If you are going to visit a supermarket, I would suggest visiting the Sainsbury's as advised in the guide book - we thought we'd visit a Tesco the same distance away but this took us up in the hills down little one way country lanes & took much longer due to this.
The only issue we found really was there was no tea-towel or anything provided for drying cups / plates & this isn't something we would ever bring as we have stayed in a lot of This companies properties & a tea-towel has always been provided, there was only 1 baking tray for the oven - could do with one or two more & all of the symbols have rubbed off the oven so it's quite difficult to figure out what setting you have got it in - we put food in and hoped for the best.
The hot tub is brilliant - biggest one we've ever had, wasn't fully hot until around 11pm on the first night due to it being fully drained as the last people had got glass in it. Not sure how when plastic wine & pint glasses are provided for use in the tub.
Nice little place & good for the money we paid - we'd go back for the same price."
Jodie - Feb 2018
"Would definitely come back and recomend to others"
Derek - Oct 2017
"Definitely recommend Fingle Glen for a weekend break"
Paul - Sep 2017
"The only problem with cabin was that the bath tap was broken and so we couldn't have a bath"
Doreen - Sep 2017
"Good size lodge with great views. There kitchen wasn't stocked with all of the utensils we have had in other lodges. Double bed was two singles pushed together, the headboards overlapped and weren't fixed on."
Mandy - Aug 2017
"This is the third time we have stayed here. It is a lovely quiet place, where we can relax."
Laura - Aug 2017
"A good relaxing holiday on a lovely golf course with club house. Conveniently located for travelling to surrounding areas."
Jayne - Aug 2017
"Excellent.

Booked again for September 2017"
Janet - Jul 2017
"No problem in recomending the facility to any one ,we will be going back"
Gwyn - Jul 2017
"Shower room could do with a bit of TLC"
Michael - Jun 2017
"Large spacious lodge. Very clean. Washing machine, large fridge freezer. Good quality furnishings. Has iron and ironing board and hairdryer. Roomy double room with ensuite and twin room. Has separate toilet and shower. These lodges suit both families and couples. Had a great time. Lovely views."
Carol - Jun 2017
"comfortable, well furnished, quite and relaxing, especially for a business trip"
Paul - May 2017
"Really nice lodge clean and plenty of facilities inside. Hot tub was clean. Staff at reception were not very welcoming and didn't explain how to get to the lodge. Think a better map layout would be a good idea and a net protecting parked cars from the golf balls next to the lodges. Went fishing, one of the lakes is very polluted and dirty so avoided that one. Other then that great weekend away. Thanks hoseasons"
Rebecca - Apr 2017
"Peaceful, relaxing, Clean - We will be back

We grabbed a great last minute deal and headed down to Exeter. The four of us (Two Couples) were greeted by a nice chap in reception who gave us our key and pointed us to the lodge. The lodge was in very good shape and although needing a lick of paint on the outside, was perfect.

The hot tub was in constant use and we found ourselves sat outside until 3am both nights watching the shooting stars.

We had a few hours on the golf range which was great but spent the majority of the time relaxing in the hot tub.

The only downside was the shower - the boiler was tiny so the showers were literally a quick 2 minute shower then jump out - any longer than that and everyone else would be showering in cold water or waiting an hour for it to fill back up (As we found out on the first night).

Stayed April 2017, travelled as a couple"
Nick - Apr 2017
"Deep cleaning high level and edges needed apart from that all was good."
Deeps - Apr 2017
"Attention to detail with cleaning (flies and cobwebs in lights, mark on the bed on arrival, kitchen walls were grubby).
Instructions required for how to use the cooked due to numbers and details on oven warn off"
Stacey - Feb 2017
"We stayed for work purposes and the lodges worked perfectly, with the on site club house offering good food you couldnt go wrong"
Jason - Feb 2017
"Brilliant places and lodges"
Dale - Jan 2017
"The Lodge was spacious and well stocked for self catering, although the fridge/freezer needed defrosting and we couldn't work out how to use the hob. That just meant we ate out at the club house restaurant , which was a bonus."
