Bulworthy Forest Lodges offer a haven of peace and tranquillity in a wonderful secluded setting in 25 acres of woodland. The lodges are well appointed around the attractive site which boasts no less than five well stocked fishing lakes.

The location is very peaceful but those seeking action and adventure as well as beautiful beaches can find them just a few miles away in the North Devon towns of Bideford Barnstaple and Torrington. There is a sandy beach just 5 miles away with shops and a pub within 4 miles.

Guests can enjoy the free carp and coarse fishing onsite while a larger selection of outdoor pursuits are available locally. The beautiful surrounding woods invite leisurely rambles and are home to an abundance of wildlife and a variety of flora and fauna.

Accommodation is in a range of stylish lodges sleeping from 4-6 people. Guests looking for luxury could opt for the top of the range Larchers Lodge which has beautiful lake views and a private outdoor hot tub. If value for money is a top priority then the Hunters Lodge is a good choice and has everything needed for an excellent self catering holiday.

Due to the steep gradients and steps Bulworthy Forest Lodges are not suitable for wheelchair users or persons with severe mobility difficulties.

Excellent. Spotlessly clean with all mod cons. In a great location being the last in the line.

Lovely, well equipped lodge. Slight issue with ill fitting shower door, resulting in mold up the wall. I actually cleaned the mold off the wall and was rather surprised that the cleaning staff had left it there.
The hot tub was ok, but jets were not working and the knobs appeared to be broken, but there were plenty of bubbles coming from otheroutlets in the tub.

Chestnut lodge is well equipped with everything we needed, plenty of space in it too. The washing machine and tumble dryer were a god send for us. We spent a lot of time on the beach so it was nice to be able to run the towels and costumes through the wash and get them dry for the next day.

There is a TV in every room!! Although we did not watch it that much, mostly we enjoyed the surroundings of the fishing lake which was right next to us and the hot tub and walking around in the forest which meant there was little time for electronic devices or TV's!

The hot tub was a lovely addition to our holiday and enjoyed by all, it was nice that it was in it's own little hut right next to the lodge. In the kitchen of the lodge there are even plastic wine glasses etc. that can be used in the hot tub.....very relaxing!!

The children loved fishing in the lakes and everyone caught something...more than once! We used Croyde and Saunton beaches which were a short distance away for surfing and body boarding. Westward Ho is only a few miles away too.

It was lovely to just spend time in Chestnut lodge out of the reach of the hustle and bustle of life and the fact there was very little phone signal and no 2/3/4G signal or wifi available made the whole experience even better for us.

We would definitely go here again, the owner was around most days for anything that you needed and was absolutely lovely. This holiday provided a little bit of quiet and calm in our hectic family life and we loved every minute of it!

The Lodge was clean and in a perfect location. The Hot Tub rounded off each day. The facilities in the Lodge if you wanted to cook a meal were all available. It was good to have a washing machine and tumble dryer as well.
