The wonderful facilities, the stunning sea views and the lovely cobbled streets of Hastings make Shearbarn Holiday Park the perfect retreat for exploring East Sussex. Rye, Eastbourne and Brighton are all within easy travelling distance and the park is just a 15 minute walk from Hastings Beach and Pelham Beach. Hastings has a great selection of shops and farmers' markets, a large shopping centre and a museum and art gallery.
The park has a large indoor heated swimming pool and fitness room, a well stocked bar and restaurant, convenient supermarket and launderette. There is an indoor and outdoor children's play area and plenty of places to eat and drink in the vicinity - The King's Head in Udimore is a beautiful historic pub that dates back to the 16th century and has a lovely beer garden.
The accommodation at Shearbarn Holiday Park is spacious and modern. We recommend the comfort of the Superior Country Lodge 4 VIP, a timber-clad single storey holiday home with an open plan kitchen/diner/lounge. It boasts a luxurious outdoor hot tub on a private decking area complete with patio furniture. The lodge sleeps four people and has a king size double and one twin bedroom.
If you love art exhibitions, both Rye and Hastings have extremely interesting galleries and the Redoubt Fortress and Military Museum at Eastbourne is the largest military museum in the south east. There's a magnificent nine hole golf course at Battle, sailing at Eastbourne and go-karting at Polegate, as well as excellent cycle routes, including the Rye Ride, which takes you past beautiful lakes through Camber and onto the sea wall.
