This was the second time I had stayed in Spitfire Lodge, as had such a positive experience on my first visit with a different group of friends.
The lodge is very cosy, but also big enough for 6 adults, which was very important. In terms of practical things, the kitchen is well stocked. On other similar holidays sometimes we have found there have not been enough utensils/cutlery etc, but here this was no problem at all, and the hob and oven worked really well. We went at the end of January and so it was very cold - the heating worked well and quickly so after coming in all wet from walks we were able to get comfortable again very fast.
The bedrooms are very nice, but the bunk bed is a little squeaky. Good storage space for bags and suitcases etc. We loved the wooden panelling throughout the lodge. We used the hot tub most evenings, and really enjoyed being able to make the most of it, this made the weekend very special!
Overall, a very luxurious lodge we will likely visit again!

We wanted time together as a couple with no kids and no pets. Somewhere we could relax and enjoy just being together. The lodge not only did that but also spoiled us as we didnt want to leave. The staff really pay attention to detail in presenting the lodges. So warm and welcoming and clean. We really had a great time

As above - lovely lodge - cosy, clean, well-equipped, lovely sauna and wonderful hot tub on the veranda.
Friendly staff who made us feel really welcome. The lodge was warm and cosy, and a playbarn which kept my grandchildren happy for the holiday.
Great lodge, great onsite facilities, great staff, great value
Beautiful lodge, which was clean and well kept. Parking could be improved if closer to the lodge, to avoid dark muddy work from the car at night. Hot tub was well kept and just as we expected. WiFi was limited and didn’t reach the furthest bedrooms but could be accessed easily from all other areas.
We stayed in the Typhoon Lodge. It was immaculately presented. The staff did a fantastic job of cleaning and explaining all about the lodge on arrival. Each member of staff was warm and friendly. The lodge was stocked with everything we would need and more. The hot tub was heaven and the perfect temperature even on really cold nights under the stars. The lodge was cosy and comfortable making for a perfect romantic peaceful getaway. We will be returning.
Beautiful lodge in gorgeous peaceful surroundings.. hot tub was lovely and kept us warm on the frosty nights!!
We did archery and aerial adventure during our stay and the instructors were fantastic. Very professional. Would love to return and highly recommend.
Marwell is lovely and quiet, with friendly staff working in reception. The setting is lovely, could be set more in the woods however you do still feel like you're getting away. We also went and used the gym and pool facilities at Marwell Hotel nearby, though the gym was limited to treadmills, the pool and sauna was lovely.
Was fantastic going in late January, as fantastic value for money outside of the peak season, and meant that we especially appreciated the hot tub at our lodge!
We love coming here and have returned 3 years running and already booked for next year. Lodges are well maintained and clean. Hot tub is a luxury. Site is quiet and perfect for a break from every day life. The children live the soft play and access is included in price which is fantastic. Location is good with easy access to surrounding towns and activities.
Only criticism is that there is not enough seating for maximum capacity (they provide 8 chairs for lodge which sleeps 10 Inc. sofa bed) and only space for 7 on sofas and chair.
Would highly recommend Marwell Lodges.
Amazing break, you could fault nothing, have booked again for next year.
Had a great week celebrating my husbands 60th would love to come back.
Great break, didn’t do any activities as the weather was rubbish, stayed in a lodge for 10 peeps but more suited to only 8,sofa bed wasn’t comfy and the sofas were to low
