Donna - Sep 2019
"Had a Great time would book again."
Colin - Sep 2019
"We stayed in Famau Lodge. It is a very well equipped lodge, all fittings excellent quality, and well looked after. Peaceful location, great for a relaxing holiday. Unfortunately the weather was grim, so we didn't sit out on the verandha; but did use the hot tub every night (except one).
Loved the horses and the chickens, also wild rabbits in the fields at night.
Hot water on tap(!) was wonderful, as were the showers and the heating; which we only used for an hour each evening when we came in after the hot tub.
Have only given overall rating of 9 because the ensuite shower was a little cosy for getting in and out of, and two steps up to verhanda are quite deep. These are minor things and only really an issue because I was there with my 87 year old mother. She managed the hot tub well; stepping down into it was easy for her.
Helpfulness of staff was difficult to rate as we had a brief but friendly introduction when we arrived, then we didn't see anyone. However, we didnt need anything so, as I say, difficult to rate.
We would certainly stay again if visiting the area."
Maxine - Aug 2019
"We had an amazing weekend ... even the bad weather didnt spoil it."
Linda - Mar 2019
"The best lodge we have stayed in and we have tried in quiet a few! It is well appointed, spotlessly clean, spacious and the bed in the master bedroom is so comfortable. The hot tub on the decking was fantastic and not overlooked at all. We could not fault it!"
Lianne - Mar 2019
"We loved our stay here, lodge very well equipped, lovely and clean, lovely views, hot tub was amazing, the lady who ran the lodge was very approachable and very helpful.

A lovely pub with open fire, pool table, tv and serves food a mins walk away, bar staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome.

I would love to go back in the summer.

my only bit of advice would be to take plenty of milk, we ran out and the nearest shop was a 45min walk away."
Amanda - Feb 2018
"The lodge was well equipped, well kept and very comfortable."

Kathleen - May 2017
"...Fantastic place...excellent facilities...very clean...beautiful area...lovely people...hope to be back soon...10/10 for everything!!!"
Geoff - Apr 2017
"Lovely place only slightly let down by attention to detail regarding the kitchen cleanliness, fridge could have been a bit cleaner, the frying pan was well used and cutlery drawer had crumbs in it but nothing that would put us off returning, (maybe I am a clean freak)? Hot tub was fantastic and maintenance of it impeccable"
Rachel - Feb 2016
"Excellent 3 night stay at this lodge. Lovely hot hottub with beautiful views very relaxing. We had dinner at the pub down the road which was welcoming & very good food. We have booked to go back next year."
Celia - Jan 2016
"Absolutely beautiful and peaceful"
Kimberley - Nov 2015
"Had a fab stay, when we first got there it just seemed like two lodges plonked in someone's back garden but apart from that we got used to it we was looking for a relaxing time away which it was, the lodge was fantastic very nice and cosy and the hot tub was a bonus! Lovely pub down the road with friendly staff and lovely food. Only negative side is me and my partner are both smokers and there is a strict no smoking on site (which we understood) however the pathway and the gate outside is not lit up at all so obviously you could not see anything at night, had to use our phones as a torch, wouldn't really say that was very health and safety thought through as it caused me to trip! But overall would defiantly recommend :)"
Samantha - Oct 2015
"The lodge was lovely and clean and very well kept in a beautiful setting we especially liked the hot tub. It's in a lovely little village with a great pub a few minutes walk away."
Jennifer - Sep 2015
"Never had a holiday like this before. It was perfect, felt like a home away from home. Our host was a really nice lady. The surrounding area is astonishingly beautiful. The lodge itself is nicely secluded and quiet, the local pub with impressive food and drink is just a couple of minutes walk. The hot tub at the end of a days hike was extremely welcome. Just pack your clothes, pack some food and just enjoy yourself. Would stay here again. In fact it was so good I proposed, she said yes. It was the pefect place for us."
Farhan - Aug 2015
"Very happy with the Lodge, added bonus with the free WIFI, we all had a great time and look forward to booking again!"
Victoria - Jun 2015
"We really enjoyed our holiday. Friendly people, great location. would certainly return."
Jane - Jun 2015
"Really nice lodge, was surprised when we got there and there were only two lodges ,it felt a little isolated. Great place to unwind."
Kathleen - May 2015
"Lovely place! Relaxing area and very comfortable lodge with all mod cons. Perfect. X"
Kelly - Apr 2015
"To be honest when I first got there I thought oh no as there was only 2 lodges side by side and nothing else . But once in it was fantastic . It was so relaxing . Everything you needed was there in the lodge .
We took food and drink with us so didn't visit the nearby pubs .
Big fluffy towels are provided and beds were so comfy . Friends came to visit and said they are going to book soon .
Hot tub was lush
Owner was nice
Just couldn't fault it ."
Alison - Apr 2015
"The lodge was beyond what we expected, everything was to the highest quality, which made our stay all that more enjoyable."
