Just a 25 minute drive from the beautiful Suffolk Heritage Coast, these gorgeous log cabins are fitted to the highest standard with contemporary designs and outdoor decking areas complete with private hot tubs. Halesworth is the ideal location from which to explore the Suffolk countryside and Bury St Edmunds and Aldeburgh are both easily accessible.

Laxfield, a pretty little historic village halfway between Halesworth and Framlingham, is just a ten minute walk away and has a selection of shops, an indoor swimming pool, a museum housed in a 16th century building and a lovely little thatched pub, The King's Head. It serves locally sourced food seven days a week and has a good selection of local beers.

Sunrise VIP is a traditional log cabin that sleeps up to four people. It has one double room with ensuite shower and one twin bedroom plus a spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with a flat screen HD TV with Freeview and DVD. Double doors lead to a private decking area with a hot tub.

There are grassed communal areas and open countryside, where you can walk and enjoy the numerous cycle routes. Framlingham is only ten minutes by car and the castle, which dates back to the 12th century, is a great tourist attraction.

Our Top Tip
"For shopping, head to Ipswich or Norwich and if you love browsing for antiques, a trip to Lavenham or Long Melford is a must."

One of the best lodges we've stayed at, definitely the most luxurious in that price range. We loved the hot tub! We only stayed mid-week but we didn't want to leave. Thank you to Gary, the site owner, for being so welcoming. We'll definitely be going back!

The perfect place to explore the Suffolk coast and country! Beautiful lodge, well-equipped, clean and homely. The hot tub is amazing!
The only issue with the furniture was the leather sofa was flaking- which got everywhere!
Wonderful location, log cabin and hot tub amazing.
Amazing, Beautiful Lodge and location, We have recommended it to friends already and would go back again.
Great lodge to high standard in a fantastic location. Would consider staying again.
Beautiful location very attentive staff and very private. A beautiful break and made to feel very welcome.
A very relaxing break.
Enjoyed it very relaxing and hot tub was brill
What a fantastic lodge! We have stayed in several lodges over the years and this one is by far the most luxurious. The site owner is very welcoming, he showed us around the lodge and explained how to use the hot tub (we were hot tub newbies). He also gave us some great suggestions for dog friendly places to eat and visit. The lodge was lovely and clean and we were pleasantly surprised to find an en suite shower room as well as a main bathroom. The hot tub was very clean and a wonderful addition to our holiday. We would certainly recommend staying at the Laxfield Lodges and will definitely be going back!
Welcome was very friendly.location ideal for a peaceful retreat.
Our 2nd visit to laxfield lodges this time for 2 weeks, beautiful home from home, stay in the (no pets) lodge as I have allergies, very clean, well looked after
Very civilised, we could'nt fault the cabin, it had everything. Even fresh home cooked bread, milk, sugar etc, etc, etc. Our hosts were friendly, informative and helpful although the weather was Terrible. The wild life was a very pleasant especially to us townies.

Fun Days Out near Laxfield Lodges

Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - about 11 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Africa Alive - about 17 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Banham Zoo - about 17 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
