About New Forest Lodges

If you love the peace and quiet of the countryside, you'll love New Forest Lodges. Secluded, peaceful and tranquil, you have woodlands, heathlands and the coastline of the New Forest all within easy reach. The area is perfect for horse riding and walking and the lodges are close to the little market town of Ringwood. You can try your hand at kite and windsurfing in Weymouth Bay and Poole Harbour - or treat yourself to a truly memorable Indian meal at the Hox Brasserie in Salisbury.

There are great cycle routes in the area and bike hire is available. The lodges overlook a series of beautiful lakes so this holiday really does offer the best of both worlds - a haven away from the hustle and bustle of city life, and yet only a short drive from Bournemouth and Poole. If you've always wanted to attempt a skydive, you could head for Click Jump Skydiving in Salisbury - their team of experienced skydivers will train you and calm your nerves!

The Dorchester Lodge was brand new in 2011. We think you'll agree that it's beautiful with its contemporary interior design, wood burning stove and fantastic views across the lakes. The outdoor hot tub is on the private verandah which also has garden furniture and a barbecue - the lodge sleeps six and is fully double glazed and centrally heated.

Dorset has an amazing coastline - the Jurassic Coast is a World Heritage site, well known for its dinosaur fossils and footprints. There is a huge trail of coastal paths with stunning views across the cliffs and the ocean. Animal lovers will enjoy Monkey World and the underwater dive cage at the Oceanarium at Bournemouth and if you love shopping, The Avenue Shopping Centre, also in Bournemouth, has all the top high street stores.

"Well worth the money and the lodges are situated in a lovely, charming park managed by the family.

Hot tub and bbq were both fantastic additions. Travelled with a 2 month old baby and it was the perfect place to take her for her first holiday"
Helen - May 2018
"Lovely relaxing holiday"
Verified Guest - May 2018
"Great lodge, staff, facilities, hot tub and loved the fact it was on a farm.

We paid a premium as we were visiting during the Easter holidays. Had we not have to pay that then we would have felt it was a better value for money."
Laura - Apr 2018
"This holiday was lovely, the cabins are owned by a farmer who had a lot of land including some lakes which you can fish in, they breed their own cows and pigs which we were lucky enough to see - 2 day old piglets! The cabin itself was very welcoming with homemade bread and a lovely cake, milk and eggs from the farm an added bonus. The cabin was nicely decorated and all rooms have a small tv - not that we used them we were too busy using the log fire and the hot tub! We did have a little visitor in one of our bedroom windows - a little bird that would tap on the window in the morning to say hello! Only one thing which might put some people off is the gravel drive leading to the cabins is very bumpy and may not be ideal for low or sporty cars, overall great holiday and would highly recommend!"
Kerry - Apr 2018
"If there is anything to mention that could be improved, its this:
Garden fencing has been erected to provide the necessary privacy. Unfortunately, one fence section has fallen down; it would be good if that section could be repaired, as it does impact on the feeling of privacy somewhat.
The lodge comes with electrically opening/closing Velux roof windows, operated via remote control. Not all of these were working properly on this occasion.
One or two ceiling lights were also out of order.
That said, all of the abovementioned issues are very minor and did in no way impact on our overall enjoyment."
Hans - Apr 2018
"The lodge was very clean, and lovely and warm. It was well equipped with all mod cons except WiFi (suited us just fine as we wanted to escape!). The hot tub was amazing, and the woodburner created a very cosy atmosphere in the evenings. The welcome pack of fresh bread, milk and a home-made lemon drizzle cake was a really nice touch. It was also much appreciated to have linen and towels provided and no extra charges for heating. We would definitely like to return."
Samantha - Feb 2018
"Great value for money and fresh bread milk and cake on arrival"
Craig - Feb 2018
"Excellent home from home facilities."
Gillian - Jan 2018
"Lovely lodge, perfect for a small family or couple. Good space for cooking and eating and loved the log burner! Comfy bed and very warm"
Georgia - Jan 2018
"Had a very enjoyable Christmas break, very cosy with the wood burner and our lodge was very spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was an added bonus. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. We wanted to book again for this year but already fully booked!!! So very popular."
Sarah - Dec 2017
"Best holiday I have ever been on, cant fault anything my whole family just loved everything about it"
Jackie & Kerry - Dec 2017
"Loved loved loved the woodcock lodge, so cosy with comfortable beds, a living area where you can sit back and relax in front of the tv with the log fire burning. To then go into the hot tub and gaze into the stars with a glass of champagne in your hand (okay thats personal prefrence, highly recommend though). Everything about our holiday was perfect just didnt want to go home, off to book our next visit there."
Claire - Dec 2017
"Absolutely beautiful place and will definitely be coming again"
Amber - Dec 2017
"Spent a brilliant few days here with family and friends. 2 young children with us who loved the hot tub and the accommodation was first class. No need to even leave the cabin as long as you have enough provisions with you. All of the features you could want are all provided in the home. There was even an iron.
The farm shop has some excellent meat and basic provisions for sale and I recommend the pies, mmm, delicious.
We didn't bring a pet with us but we found the cabin very clean and could not detect any pet smell or dog hair which was good.
Definately looking at booking again sometime. Lack of mobile phone signal could be an issue for some but it is possible to get a signal if you walk up to the farm near the cow sheds or up the hill behind the cabins."
Marc - Oct 2017
"Great holiday with lots of little touches that made it better than other places I have stayed. Little things such as a cake and fresh bread, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. The hot tub was also a great bonus and it didn't feel overlooked at all."
Hannah - Oct 2017
"Perfect. Nothing else to say."
Donna - Oct 2017
"Wonderful place to stay"
Diane - Oct 2017
"Very peaceful relaxing holiday, my husband loved the fishing on site and we both enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. Lovely lodge with everything we needed. Very nice touch was the homemade cake waiting for us in the kitchen. We will definitely be booking this lodge again"
Christopher - Oct 2017
"Lovely holiday. Would definitely go again"
Wendy - Sep 2017
