We love it when traditional charm blends effortlessly with contemporary style and comfort - and these fabulous lodges, set on a former working farm and with views over stunning countryside, do just that. The surrounding area is full of picturesque villages with shops, pubs and restaurants - and the amazing Jurassic coastline is easily accessible with some wonderful beaches at Burton Bradstock and Lyme Regis. Saxon Maybank Lodges are tucked away amidst lush farmland that offers some really beautiful walks, far away from the stresses of everyday life.

About Saxon Maybank Lodges

We love it when traditional charm blends effortlessly with contemporary style and comfort - and these fabulous lodges, set on a former working farm and with views over stunning countryside, do just that. The surrounding area is full of picturesque villages with shops, pubs and restaurants - and the amazing Jurassic coastline is easily accessible with some wonderful beaches at Burton Bradstock and Lyme Regis.

Saxon Maybank Lodges are tucked away amidst lush farmland that offers some really beautiful walks, far away from the stresses of everyday life. You could relax and enjoy the views from your own private hot tub or play a round on the park's golf course. Nearby, both Yeovil and Bath have some exceptional restaurants - Mulberry's Bistro and Ring O'Bells are good to visit and only a mile or two from your luxurious lodge.

The lodges are superbly designed, styled and furnished. Our favourite is Loxton Barn, a beautiful converted barn with original, exposed stonework, wooden beams and soft lighting. Double glazed patio doors lead to a private decking area with south facing views of the Dorset countryside and of course, you'll have your own hot tub as well as a king sized double bedroom with ensuite shower.

Dorchester and Wells are both within easy driving distance, or you could head to Longleat Safari Park at Warminster to see some of the world's most magnificent animals. Cheddar Caves and Gorge is a fascinating world of mirror pools and colourful calcitite formations and there are some great sporting activities to get involved in too. Try your hand at horse riding in Gillingham, clay pigeon shooting at Buckland Newton or paintballing at Street.

Saxon Maybank Lodges Reviews

"Originally we were booked into a lodge. Due to a leak, we were put into the Barn - excellent upgrade, especially as it was my wife's 60th!"
Geoff - Dec 2014
"Only thing we found was tv was confusing but
Every thing else was perfect spotlessly clean
Well equipped"
Amy - Nov 2014
"The lodge was lovely, a home away from home, very warm and cosy.

The only thing I would say was that an outside light on the verander by the hottub for the evenings. Otherwise perfect. Thanks"
Kelley - Oct 2014
"We had an amazing time just eat we both needed!"
Louise - Oct 2014
"Kettle full of lime scale, but was offered a brand new one within 30 minutes of reporting this."
Joanne - Sep 2014
"As all adults it was fine but having doors, with a significant drop to the outside, rather than windows to open could be a problem. It was also difficult to ventilate a small amount."
Jan - Sep 2014
"Best holiday we have ever had. Accommodation outstanding, hot tub fabulous and secluded.

Peaceful but nobody on site to seek advice, you need to take a mobile phone to keep at least for emergency occasions."
John - Sep 2014
"Would benefit from either paid for or better still free wifi.o"
Gary - Sep 2014
"Perfect holiday house with anything you'd need and more. Lots of privacy and beautiful views of the surroundings. Only some minor issues with the plumbing."
Afke - Aug 2014
"Accommodation was really well furnished and finished to good standard. But when we got there no blinds on bathroom window which was full length and also shower leaked constantly and was told that plumber had been called out to fix. But as we had full itinery planned for days we were there didn't want to wait in for plumber. But this was only minor and didn't spoil our holiday..
Overall would definately recommend this to anyone.."
Afia - Aug 2014
"I was concerned with the precious reviews about cleanliness but we didn't have any problems with this, the lodge was very clean and well equipped."
Kelly - Aug 2014
"if going to be picky, several nail heads sticking up on decking ,making the wearing of footwear essential"
Michael - Jul 2014
"A pricey wknd but loved it especially how private it felt!
Saving up to come back already!!"
Deborah - Jul 2014
"Very comfortable with everything you could need, travelled with a small baby and washer/dryer great. Kitchen well equipped, plenty of towels supplied as well as bathrobes, slippers and bathroom miniatures. Few bits of dust in corners and ceilings but this isn't a hotel room and the accomodation was lovely overall especially the hot tub which was fantastic. Living room very comfortable and relaxing. Kingsize comfortable beds. Only downside was the blinds in the bedroom let in a lot of light and skylight in main bedroom had no blind at all which was only an issue for us as travelling with a baby."
Amy - Jul 2014
"very spacious open plan living area. Everything you need at hand, even wifi which is not mentioned in description. Lovely views, good outside space and secluded hot tub."
Andrew - Jul 2014
"The Barn was so much more than we expected. The photos of it do not do it justice as it is much bigger than they show.Top quality in every respect."
Brian - Jul 2014
"The stereo and lamp did not work but did not know who to tell. Also the blind for the bathroom window was missing."
Kathryn - Jun 2014
"We were quite disappointed with the cleanliness. It felt like it needed a really good clean. Every shiny surface was smeared or had fingerprints on - especially the kitchen cupboard doors which actually had bits of food smudged on the doors and handles. The floor needed hoovering especially in the corners where there was quite large dust balls and hairs. When you go somewhere like that you don't want to think about all the other people who have slept in the bed used the toilet etc. it was a shame that this let down what was a very good rental."
Kirsty - Jun 2014
"excellent except from cob webs!"
Sunil - May 2014
"Loved every moment. We were totally alone too which was bonus. The pool was checked every day and chemicals added if needed. Beautiful views with wildlife close by.The only suggestion I would make is that during peak times the privacy when in the tub could be better with the Wicca fencing added on both sides and extended a little on the grass on the other side of the decking as you are fully exposed to the lodge on the right? But we went out of season so this did not effect us!"
Tamsin - May 2014
