Cheddar Woods Resort and Spa FAQs

Where is Cheddar Woods Resort & Spa?

Cheddar Woods Resort & Spa is set on the slopes of the Mendip Hills in Cheddar, Somerset. It's a truly beautiful part of the UK which is famous for its Limestone hills which rise to over 1000 feet. Here you'll find caves, including the Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, and Gough's Cave.

Where can you park?

Parking is nice and easy here as you can park right next to your lodge. You can leave your car there for the duration of your stay.

Can I bring my own cot bed?

Yes but mattresses or bedding cannot be provided for cots, and some accommodation types may not have sufficient space to accommodate a cot bed.

Can you get Tesco, Asda and other shopping delivered here?

Yes, you can get shopping delivered here. Just set the delivery slot to after 6pm and give the name of your lodge. This a brilliant idea that I saw someone doing on a lodge break. Why spend hours packing and unpacking your food and supplies when you can get it directly delivered to your door?

Is there a shop at Cheddar Woods Resort?

Yes, there is a small shop where you can buy the essentials you might need for your break.

Can you rent a high chair?

Yes, high chairs area available at Cheddar Woods either at the time of your booking, or when you get there. The fee is £15 for the length of your stay.

Is there an enclosed space for pets?

If you're taking your dog with you to Cheddar Woods Resort, you have a dedicated enclosed decking area and the lodges have gates that will keep pets from harm.

TRACY - Aug 2022
"Lovely quiet site. We had an accessible lodge which met our needs. Great location for seeing local sights, the beach etc"
Sarah - Aug 2022
"We had a fantastic time at the Cheddar resort and spa. We took our daughter who is 6 and newphew 12 and niece 14. The resort has great facilities with tennis, bastketball, football and we signed up for some of the Go active activities sea scooters and sea kayaks were a hit. Our daughter also enjoyed the pirates paradise. The pool is fabulous, clean and modern. We visited on the first week of the school holidays and it never felt too busy. Go active staff were great."
Michelle - Aug 2022
"A vg holiday thanks"
Henry - Aug 2022

"Fab place but very small rubbish bin and no hooks to hang coats or
Towels elf"
Suzanne - Aug 2020
"Lovely week in fantastic surroundings"
Sinead - Aug 2020
"Only sad part we couldnt check in until 5pm check out 9am so for just a weekend stay felt like we had little time in the lodge - but completely understand reasons why with extra cleaning and precautions"
Sheri - Aug 2020
"Nice Lodge didnt get to see any staff or faciltys but still charged full price few areas in lodge on the cleaning front some areas need better attention poor swimming fully booked so 4 children didn't get to swim as no information about having to pre booking and play area always full with unattended children so they didn't get to play there either due to virus no staff around"
Sally - Aug 2020
"A very expensive holiday.

Lovely cabin with hot tub. It was very hot but no parasols outside and outside chairs needed cushions."
Richard - Aug 2020
"Highly recommended holiday would love to return!"
Peter - Aug 2020

Paula - Aug 2020

Michelle - Aug 2020

Melissa - Aug 2020
"We will return, need-we say more?
We also had an Axbridge Premier 2, no33"
Martin - Aug 2020
"Few things broken, paint missing where its been chipped away from wear and tear, could do with a revamp"
Lee - Aug 2020
"no frying pan, large mugs and small dishes otherwise all good"
Ken - Aug 2020
"Love the place but would have been more enjoyable with facilities being open.
Don't really feel it was value for money as we paid for activities etc but couldn't use them and the bar/ restaurant was closed most of the time."
Karen - Aug 2020
"Excellent site shame couldn't use all the facilities"
Karen - Aug 2020
"Lodge was lovely and particularly liked having a hot tub for relaxation. It would of been good to also have a shower in the main bathroom instead of everyone using the ensuing but this is a minor detail."
Helen - Aug 2020
"Really enjoyed our stay!"
Harry - Aug 2020
"The lodge is well stocked and comfortable. The WiFi works well. The hot tub was great but not all the jets worked. The beds were very comfy. Extra TVs in rooms are good for a family. Washing machine was useful as was the freezer and dish washer. Lodge was mostly clean but when we moved the rug it was filthy underneath and obviously hadnt been moved when they did the floor. Extra Covid cleaning is not a real thing. Lodge didnt have a brush or mop so we couldnt clean up and we didnt have a maiden to put towels to dry on the deck. Loved the robes for after the hot tub."
Gillian - Aug 2020
"Amazing lodge!!! Beautiful!"
Gemma - Aug 2020
"The accommodation was extremely clean. The fridge however was small and the cover was missing from the door which meant anything we put on the shelf fell off everytime you opened the door resulting in spilt liquids etc. Thought the provision of the bath robes was a nice touch and useful when using the hot tub. Some of the hot tub jets were not useable but again didnt really spoil the enjoyment of using this. On the whole was really pleased with the cleanliness and the location of the lodge."
Dkjg - Aug 2020
"We didn't get to use the restaurant as it had only just opened and we had brought a lot of food with us."
David - Aug 2020
"We did not use the restaurant therefore unable to comment. Seemed to be fully booked but again covid 19 reduced numbers available"
Daniel - Aug 2020
"Due to national social restrictions, there was very little outside of our lodge, within the resort that we could specifically do.

That is not the fault of the resort or staff in the slightest."
Chris - Aug 2020
"Great lodge! Would defo return"
Charlotte - Aug 2020
"A lovely lodge, a relaxing break."
Alison - Aug 2020
"Overall everyone was happy. We have booked the same lodge again for next year, so something must have been right!"
Maria - Jul 2020
"The lodes had later check in time due to a deep clean which totally understandable under circumstances, however was surprised to mucky finger print marks on the large window by the hot tub."
Verified Guest - Jul 2020
"Lovely few days away. Would have been nice to experience the go active things but will have to save that for next time. Having th hot tub was just fab."
Elizabeth - Jul 2020
"Overall it was a good holiday apart from the fact that we couldnt use the facilities."
