About Yare View Holiday Cottages

This charming and unique riverside retreat provides a tranquil and relaxing holiday base in the Norfolk Broads.  With a location in one of the area's most historic villages, Brundall,  and riverside views from the living rooms, it's easy to see how you can switch off here and get right into holiday mode.

Brundall itself is well worth exploring.  You'll find a host of amenities here including fantastic restaurants and some good traditional pubs.  The area is famed as a boat building centre.  A little further afield you'll find lively Great Yarmouth and cosmopolitan Norwich for excellent days out.

The cottages have immaculate interiors with open plan living areas and of course the icing on the cake - a private outdoor hot tub.  The Cuckoo Cottage sleeps 4 with one double bedroom and additional sleeping for 2 in the lounge area.  The Nightinggale Cottage is ideal for larger families with 2 double bedrooms.  The Kingfisher Cottage sleeps 5 and has a double and single bedroom.

The reviews from previous customers say it all, describing the location as 'amazing' and the cottages as 'absolutely fantastic' and 'beautiful, clean and very homely'.  Many reviewers have commented that they can't wait to go back!

Yare View Holiday Cottages Reviews

"The Cottage was very comfortable and relaxing, and the area was an ideal place to unwind."
Richard - Jul 2022
"Stayed in Nightingale. Lovely views and great private back garden with hot tub. Recommend to take day boats out on River Yare and Bure from Wroxham. Everything in cottage that you need"
Nicola - Jul 2022
"Lovely peaceful and quiet. Accommodation is beautiful and very clean and you had everything you need. Perfect with train station on site. Would say the mattress needs replacing and the hot tub needs adjusting as the jets had no power to sooth your joints. But I believe the accommodation is having a refurb soon. Definitely worth a stay and hire the dayboat and pop to Norwich"
Nicola - Jul 2022
"We had a lovely week Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. A lot to do locally. We will definitely return and recommend it highly."

"Absolutely idyllic place. Great location - near by bar and restaurant and local shops, great base for driving to local places and a train station on your door step. Friendly staff and a very warm welcome. Lovely welcome pack and the staff ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. Accommodation was great - clean, everything you need. Netflix was an added bonus. Back area with hot tub was great, not overlooked and larger than expected. Brilliant stay,"

"Cottage was really nice, slightly over priced for three nights, but went to celebrate my husband 50th birthday, so treated ourselves, would of been nice If the BBQ was included in the price, (extra charge), Also the coffee machine has a additional cost of 50p per coffee capsule!!,"
Joanne - Sep 2019

Perry - Jul 2019
"Beautiful place to come and have a relaxing holiday, train station 2 minutes walk from the cottage, so you can explore without having to drive. Cant wait to return. "
Jane - Jul 2019
"The cottage was sound proofed excellently so you wouldn't know there was anyone else staying anywhere close by. The views were uninterrupted and the whole place was peaceful.
All the equipment available was clean and looked brand new so was great quality. We especially liked the torch/night light."
Maryanne - Jun 2019
"The cottage is beautifully decorated and we'd move in in a heartbeat. So comfortable and freshly decorated. The only thing that would have improved it would have been a view from the hot tub rather than a high screen at the back although I appreciate it was done for privacy"

"We look forward to going back"
Elaine - Jun 2019
"Lovely tasteful cottage in a super location"
Ann - Jun 2019
"Wonderful location peaceful and quiet setting. Ideal place to escape the rat race and re connect with nature.

Only criticism paid extra for faster internet but it was terrible. I work as a journalist and need to have access to write stories and having very weak signal this made it impossible for me to work. It would take me 3 hours to write a ten minute article"

Attractions Near Yare View Holiday Cottages

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Yare View Holiday Cottages. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 6 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 13 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 15 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 18 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 20 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 20 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 23 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 26 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 28 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX
about 32 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
