Brookside Leisure Park Reviews

"I had a weeks holiday over the Easter Holidays, the site was small very friendly and helpful staff. The lodge was an original style lodge (some would say dated) but it was clean and well equipped. The hot tub was a lovely extra. The site had a pool, squash courts, gym and a outdoor tennis court. My two boys loved the pool which we had to ourselves. The squash courts and gym were great. There was so much to do in the area and it was very dog friendly. Great holiday I will come back."
Jenifer - Apr 2024
"Lovely family breakIt's what you make of it, as wellYou get what you pay for and what I mean by that, is the cabin is a bit dated don't expect all modern furniture and Appliances. Bedding and towels were clean, comfy. However we had to asked for towels so take your own as well so you have extra. Especially while using the hot tub. Appliances all worked well.Shower could be stronger but plenty hot enough and did the job. Kitchen Needs a pizza cutter lol ???? Hot tub was nice, we never used the facilities on site like the pool area so can't comment. It's very steep drive up but car will get up to the cabin. Lovely views, we would book again."

"Lovely stay, couldnt fault a thing about it. Warm and welcoming, easy arrival and lovely setting with friendly staff who were happy and efficient to help with anything you need offering extra advice such as local walks and places of interest."
Olivia - Nov 2023
"Very dated, required refurbishment and a good clean throughout, furnishings basic, broken drawers, wardrobe doors, bedroom doors closed at top but not bottom! Awful smell that worsened throughout stay"
Stephanie - Nov 2023
"The bathroom in Redwood needed updatingbut in Holly Lodge the shower room was fine.. Thewalk from the cottage was not that appealing andthe drive in and out of the extensive property was abit off putting..discarded hot tubs and other itemson surrounding land.- We enjoyed the quiet countryside, and thelocation for visits to Oswestry, Llangollen, andChirk was great. We slept really well. We used thehot tub several times, which looked brand new inRedwood Lodge. We thought for two lodges for5 friends the price was great. For food, the CastleBistro in Chirk and the Golden Lion in Llangollenwere excellent. We had a great visit to Plas Newydd"
Rachel - Oct 2023
"Wouldnt book here again"
Nicola - Apr 2023

"We did like the lodge but it was dated. Wi-Fi was poor, but the hot tub I loved. And a great view, it was also very peaceful."
Andrew - Mar 2022
"Will not be returning ! This is not a holiday park it's literally some lodges in the back of a farm with narrow steep roads to location ! The only take away is you can see chirk castle from lodge!"
Martin - Mar 2022
"Beautiful lodge, very comfortable and snug especially for a couple."
Jonathon - Feb 2022
"We stayed in Copper Beech Lodge, it was very well facilitated inside with all the utensils you need in the kitchen, board games which we really enjoyed for the evening. The hottub really topped of the stay, relaxing under the stars and beautiful countryside couldn't be any more perfect. Perfect stay for anyone wanting a quieter stay, and perfect for outdoorsy family's."
Megan - Jan 2022
"We spent Christmas in Copper Beech Lodge. It was exactly what we wanted. It was in beautiful, peaceful surroundings, the hot tub was a perfect addition, there was a lovely walk nearby and the shops were a short drive away so we had everything we needed. The hosts were amazing; friendly and helpful, we had a pretty tree all lit up and a gift and card on arrival setting the christmas mood perfectly. The hosts even dropped a new roasting set round for us on Christmas eve, it really was home from home. We couldn't have asked for more, we had the perfect stay and can't wait to go back in the future! Thank you Simon & Jeanette "
Michelle - Dec 2021
"The gap in the door was causing a draft coming through making it abit cold but that's something that could be put right by owners . I'd definitely use again though ."

"Went away for a short break and have to say redwood lodge was exactly as pictured, it was so lovely and clean. Unsure what other reviews meant by musty smell, it smelt like a wooden lodge to me!! The beds were comfy and it catered for all our needs. The hot tub was fabulous especially after a long walk, which there are plenty to go on. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back."
Jacqui - Jul 2020
"I would definitely go back and tell family and friends about it"

Such a cosy weekend, will definitely be returning."

Jonathon - Feb 2022
"Beautiful scenic stay! This was a perfect place for our family with 4 children under 10 years. We love being outdoors and exploring woodlands so the location was perfect for us. It was very private and quiet which is perfect if you enjoy a secluded trip away from a busy life. We also really enjoyed the swimming pool, the booking was really easy for this, we really enjoyed we had the pool to our selves. The pool was very clean. The only recommendation we have would probably a map as we felt bad as we had to text the owners a couple of times, however they were super friendly and helpful."
Megan - Jan 2022
"What a fantastic find, will definitely be going back. So quiet and homely. Perfect break"
David - Jan 2022
"The lodge itself could do with a bit of 'doing up' as looking a little tired, windows where double glazed but couple of hamdles missing and the wind was blowing straight through windows and door However, everything else was amazing, Ollie was extremely helpful and friendly. Private swimming pool to hire which was nice, although again a little 'tired' looking Also a gym and pool room with self service bar which was really nice Fantastic scenery, could do with more signage to actual lodges off main road and very narrow, twisty, hilly lane to the lodges, which made the entrance a little interesting, also a recently fallen tree due to storms which we had to drive under, very exciting Would definitely recommend for a stay, even better in summer!"
Ruth - Dec 2021
"Thank you! We had a nice pre-Christmas break?"
