Exploring the beaches<\/h4>\n

The stunning Northumberland coast is on the doorstep of these lodges, so guests should make time to explore the beaches when staying here. On a sunny day, bring a towel, bucket and spade to Cresswell Beach. The golden sand stretches on for miles with breath-taking sea views. Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is home to a smaller beach and is only a five-minute drive from the site.<\/p>\n

Days out<\/h4>\n

Just over ten miles away is Amble, a quaint village with a serene atmosphere. Explore the hustle-and-bustle of the harbour and even take a boat trip to see the local nature. Further north is Alnwick. Children will not only enjoy exploring the town, but also the castle where the Harry Potter films were recorded.<\/p>\n

Cragside is a stunning National Trust property of gothic architecture and luscious gardens. There are plenty of child-friendly activities inside and lakes and woodland nearby to discover.<\/p>\n

Children will love meeting animals from all over the world at Northumberland Country Zoo. With meerkats, lemurs, snow leopards and more, this would make an exciting family day out.<\/p>\n
