Raywell Hall Country Lodges Reviews

"Lodge was lovely with a great view from the living area. Had a table that converted to a pool table & table tennis which all the family loved and got used daily. Also had an arcade machine - was decent but unsure on which buttons to press and analogue stick didnt always work. Bedrooms were good size. Stayed in master room and had a small walk in wardrobe, bed comfy and spacious."

"We stayed in a pet friendly lodge, which was great for our pooch too."
Donna - Sep 2025
"A lovely relaxing weekend. Liked that garden furniture and hot tub was on decking level to doors no climbing stairs to get up and down. We will be back."
Janet - Sep 2025
"Our Raywell Hall Country Lodges review: Lodge was lovely, a little tired & could do with an update on certain things. Lovely location on site & very private. Decking area could have done with a good sweep & clean of cobwebs but overall was lovely."
Nina - Jul 2025
"Always love our stays at Raywell not to far from home so a quick get away for us. Decided to go for the new spa sensation this year so we could have family with us for a few days. The lodge is spacious and well equipped, the cleanliness was spotless absolutely could not fault anything. The sauna was used daily, the hot tub was nice somebody was always in it. Teenager loved the games room and most the adults. The snooker table and table tennis ensured plenty of family games going on.Having an on suite shower room to each bedroom was perfect. The garden space is big, lovely if you have small children wanting to play. We will book again I'm sure of that"

Harper - Apr 2025
"We've visited twice now and honestly, the staff are always so friendly and willing to help, which makes a big difference. Our first stay was in lodge 62, which was spot on and the second time we stayed in 21b. That location was perfect for us and our dog, plus the garden was secure and lovely. The lodge itself was a bit tired-looking, with tatty cushions, worn wallpaper and skirting that could do with some TLC. The bath was fantastic, though! Wed definitely return but probably pick a different lodge next time, just to avoid the slightly run-down feel of 21b. Overall, a really nice place to stay."
Alex - Mar 2025

"Had a great stay and enjoyed staying in the lodge when the weather was bad. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast two of the mornings. Very friendly and polite staff too."
Verified Guest - Dec 2024
"We stayed at the lodge recently and thought it was good value for the price. The place was generally clean, but we did notice some large cobwebs in the TV stand, which was a bit off-putting, though we guess they might have been missed. The lodges size meant we needed to do more laundry than dishes, so it wouldve been handy if it included a washing machine instead of a dishwasher. Also, some pots from previous guests were left in the cupboards, which was a little gross. The bed isnt fitted, but overall, wed definitely stay again. Nice place!"
Harriet - Nov 2024
"The lodge is good value for the money you pay however feel like the price involved should also include a washing machine or instead of the dishwasher as due to being such a small lodge, more washing is created than pots to wash. The lodge was overall clean, the tv stand had very large cobwebs growing but obviously sight not seen. I did have a few pots left from past residents unwashed in the cupboards which did put me off. Bed is not fitted. Overall, great lodge and definitely would stay again."
Daisy - Nov 2024
"lovely lodge, very cosy, i've stayed in many lodges here, this one needs a little updating but still lovely"
Rohan - Nov 2024
"We stayed here for my 26th birthday with a group of friends and honestly, it was one of the best lodge experiences we've had. First off, the place was spotless - seriously, the cleanest weve ever seen! When we arrived, that was the first thing we noticed. The rooms are a really good size, with TVs in all of them, which was handy. The bathrooms are modern and spacious too. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially with the chilly weather - its one of the bigger ones weve used, comfortably fitting six of us. The outside area felt private, which was lovely and we're already planning to come back next summer to make more of that outdoor space. The little extras like the games table and games machine were a nice touch; we hadnt seen that before in a lodge and it made relaxing with drinks even better. We also popped over to the bistro for a few drinks - its a short walk from the campsite (we found a shortcut so you dont have to walk on the road). The staff we met were super friendly and polite, which made our stay even nicer. All in all, its definitely a place well be returning to - highly recommend!"
Ellie - Nov 2024

Jennifer - Jul 2022
"Booked the a few months a go for a mid-July visit, for a family of 6 including an 8 month old boy. Arrived after check-in time of 5pm for a 7 night stay, and found the pre-booked high chair and travel cot, which were perfect. Lodge 55 was clean and had a spacious living area, with a huge TV that we were able to get dishy +, prime and netflix on. (if you sign in using your accounts make sure you sign out when you leave) TV's in all 3 bedrooms. Kitchen had a washer, dishwasher, apply sized fridge/ freezer, and plenty of crockery. It was going to be hot, and the staff provided one pedestal fan for the week, thankfully we brought 3 of our own to try and cool the lodge a little. Rear was semi-private , sometimes other gusts would wander by to the short-cut to the main reception, but it was not a bother. Hot tub was good, and the setting and lazy bed were great. We did use a disposable BBQ on the area provided. Tea, coffee and one Tasimo pod were provided, prompting us to go buy more (go Morrisons as the site shop sold 4 for 2.50) Alex was really friendly at reception, and gave advice, and when we had a little accident in the lodge the staff were very helpful. We would definitely visit again, it is perhaps the best accommodation we have ever stayed in, it wasn't cheap, but it was worth it. Location was quiet, and you need a car to go visit anywhere, but there are lots of things to do within a 40 minute drive to the coast"
