Lilliardsedge Holiday Park Reviews

"First class lodge, very good value and the hot tub excellent."
Bernard - Apr 2024
"The lodge was in lovely surroundings with a view over golf course, the hot tub was not private and internally improvements could definitely have been made in the form of cleanliness of towels and some of fixtures and fittings, for the price paid it really should be 5 star standard."
Sarah - Apr 2024
"We stayed 4 nights in a lodge which did cost quite a bit of money. We have stayed in many different parks around Scotland and this was advertised as a premium park? But we certainly beg to differ!Although the lodge was spacious, clean and some what comfortable, they didn't supply much of the basics. We were told we would receive a welcome basket but what we got was shocking, we have never seen anything like it!1 bin bag, 2 dishwasher tabs, 4 biscuits, coffee, teabags and sugar, normally you get things like orange juice, milk, wine, chocolates, but we got cleaning supplies? These things should be provided anyway especially at the cost of the lodge! The parking was awful, it's described on the website as having loads of parking but we beg to differ, I had to squeeze into a small cul de sac area by reversing in every time, with other cars parked on the tiny road, with nowhere to turn. The shop is well stocked and the restaurant is beautifully decorated but very overpriced for what you get!"

"Was looking to go somewhere new for a relaxing getaway. Overall we enjoyed our stay but we wouldn't go back due to a couple of extremely dissapointing issues."Gaze at the starscape from the comfort of a cosy bed. With a mezzanine level and a panorama stargazing roof window, the Lindean Pods give you spellbinding views of the skies. They really are the best setting for a good nights sleep."These are the exact words from the advert that got us hooked. What's not good for stargazing from the "stargazing roof window" is a huge tree towering over said window! You literally couldn't see the sky from the bed at all... Even if you were to move about, you would be lucky to see 20% of the sky which at night time was still hindered by the light pollution from the extremely bright LED lights positioned right outside the bedroom! I feel these light would benefit from a motion sensor and duller bulb as the bedroom was far too bright at night time.Dissapointed about the false advertisement regarding the stargazing we continued to try relax on our getaway. Once again this was quite difficult due to the constant gunshots coming from (nearby?) Clay pigeon shooting... it was ridiculous! From 7.59am to 5.20pm all day everyday, perfectly audible from inside the pod and when in the oddly positioned hot tub, I.e: at the front of the pod and in view of any passerbys. Maybe that is more of a personal preference but any other accommodation we have stayed at, the hot tub is far more secluded. These gunshots would vary in loudness with some sounding familiar to what I've heard in the past and others sounding like straight up Canons, Aka: VERY LOUD.Facilities were accurate as described however the hanging basket seat pictured in the ad was missing and hairdryer broken. Staff were friendly and experienced"
Rowan - Feb 2024
"We were in a Bowden pod. We cant get over the how spacious it was. A very clever and flexible use of space. We had a very comfortable stay with everything we could need. It felt luxurious! Even the glassware and crockery were high quality. The hot tub was fantastic and the place was very clean and well maintained. They even came round daily to check the levels of the hot tub. Not only that but we reported a broken clothes horse on arrival. The next day a brand new one appeared. They listen, they act and we were delighted. Well be back! Thank you!"
Louise - Feb 2024
"Loved the lodge . Only issue was the ceiling was so low in the mezzanine that my son had to duck down to get upstairs and into bed . Decor lovely , hot tub really good - loved that outside area had a gate. The restaurant was really nice - fillet steak gorgeous . The staff in there were great , especially the two young girls who gave us a list of things to do and places to visit"
Michelle - Feb 2024
"The bowden pods are lovely and well equipped."
Emma - Feb 2024
"The dimmer switch didn't seem to work for the lights in the living room (only above the table) and the kitchen spot lights were flickering...maybe pop in a lamp."
Verified Guest - Feb 2024
"Lovely place with hot tub. Great places to visit locally."
Verified Guest - Feb 2024
"Loved our stay would definitely recommend it, the lodge was extremely spacious, clean and well maintained, we will be back"
Lesley Malcolm - Jan 2024
"Great pod everything you would need for your stay was supplied along with tea coffee and biscuits."
Alan - Nov 2023
"Had a lovely week with my grandchildren, the lodge was lovely and clean, spotless, the hot tub was a brilliant feature, even when it rained my granddaughter and I were in it every night, the taverner was a lovely place to relax and eat, centrally located for all attractions in surrounding areas, the play park could do with a makeover but kids still enjoyed it, will be back next year to retry the golf course ????"
Robert - Nov 2023
"Holiday was great only one thing was in the restaurant there wasnt much for people with celiac disease due to the fact of using the same fryer to cook gluten free and no gluten free food in them which is cross contamination due to this situation one of the people we where with didnt have any lunch."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Lodge was amazing everything you needed hot tub fabulous bed very comfy kitchen had everything you needed bathroom and shower very good too"
Angela - Nov 2023
"The lodge was excellent. The location is quite isolated. The pub on site didn't allow dogs therefore we had to travel 11 miles to Kelso where the pubs there welcomed dogs."
Jane - Nov 2023
"Nice big lodge, comfortable with lots of room.Beds are really comfortable too.We didn't have any oven gloves so i asked at the shop and within seconds of me getting back a lovely member of staff was knocking on the door with a pair, she explained that because of covid they don't have them in the lodges but if you ask you can have a pair. I love the fact the staff go above and beyond to help and make sure your stay it the park is perfect."
Joanne - Nov 2023
"A great little lodge, perfect for two & our small dog. Great facilities, but double bed very small - needs a kingsize ????"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"We had to buy a fan as it was so warm in the lodge but overall we absolutely loved it"
Jacqueline - Jul 2023
"Very good staff helpul and friendly ????"
William - May 2023

Glynis - Aug 2020
"Fantastic week. Thank you."
Garry - Aug 2020
"Cant wait to get back xx"
Carolann - Aug 2020
"Lovely break, but lay out of the lodge was a bit weird as you either had a long walk all the way round the lodge to the hot tub or had to cut through a bedroom. Decking all the way round would probably be better."
Emma - Aug 2020
"Superb week away. Lots of relaxation in an immaculate lodge made all the better with the hot tub."
Lorraine - Aug 2020
"Fantastic stay, couldnt have been better, hope to come again!"
Helen - Aug 2020
"Loved the lodge, the resturant was great, staff were helpful and friendly"
Elizabeth - Aug 2020
"Would recommend to everyone, totally relaxed and enjoyed. We will be back at some point"
Julie - Aug 2020
"Great place.
Lodge was immaculate. Restaurant food was great value and lovely.
Kids loved the play park.
Great family break."
Vicki - Aug 2020
"Loved the holiday so much if I had the money Id buy a lodge"
Jacqueline - Aug 2020
"It was a great stay , the pod was very clean and hot tub was excellent, I would say a canopy over the hot tub would be a future improvement to stop tree leafs going in the water but over all a great little holiday"
Caitlyn - Jul 2022
"Staff were friendly, even called me to say the unit was ready and we could check in early. Only downside for us was the units are very close together, for the most part this wasn't an issue, but then a family checked in near the end of the holiday, their kids were allowed to do as they pleased, hitting the side of the home with balls and frisbees, playing catch next to the cars and not always catching the ball, parents just sitting watching them do it. Spoiled the last few nights."
Martin - Jul 2022
"Lovely lodge restaurant nice food nice weather wosnt the best but thats scotland for you deffinatly go back"
John - Jul 2022
"Lovely lodge. Very clean, everything you need. Great park, kid and dog friendly which was perfect for us. Unfortunately didn't stay long enough to use restaurant or visit entertainment but will definitely return again."
Diane - Jul 2022
"Holiday park was great, would be good if there was some kids entertainment but overall fab holiday."
Bethanie - Jul 2022
"Our lodge (a lilliards 4 bed),was great ,very well equipt and spotless.the bed was very comfy.the decking was large with very nice furniture ,and the hot tub was fantastic .overall a relaxing holiday .the only gripe would be the 4pm check in and 9am check out. 2pm and between 10am and 11am would be better"
Agnes - Jul 2022
"The park was very clean and tidy and staff were very helpful and friendly"
Bernadette - Jul 2022
"Lillesrdsedge is a very large and well laid out site that is meticulously maintained (can border on the intrusive with the level of noise from some of the machinery at times) The Linden pod we booked was excellent for our needs and all supplied for use within pod was of excellent quality. Safe and secure for our dog. The Tavern food was again of excellent quality but lacking a pool table which would have kept my 17 year old entertained. Plenty of outdoor seating. Takeaway van was a nice option for a few evenings too. Check in time of 4pm I feel is too late, especially as on-site shop closes at 5pm. Check out time of 9am is far too early also."
Annemarie - Jul 2022
"Fabulous place! Great entertainment! Worth the money!"
Lauren - Jul 2022
"Great location - quiet during the week - can imagine it being more active at the weekend / school holidays."
William - Jul 2022
"Absolutely loved the Biwden pod we stayed in. The park is lovely. Very clean and well kept. Nice and peaceful. The Tavern is a good place to drink and there is plenty of outdoor seating for nice weather. The food was good and service was too."
Christine - Jul 2022
"Lodge was really good only thing was not a lot to do on the site but overall very relaxing holiday would definitely go back."
Elizabeth - Jul 2022
"Lovely place and we have been as a family a few times now both camping and staying in one of the new pods which was excellent we would definitely recommend it."

Smoo Cave is a popular attraction which can be enjoyed all year round but visitors should wrap up warm during the winter months.  This spectacular limestone sea-cave in Sutherland is the largest in Britain and is simply spectacular. The cave was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Guests can take the path from the car park which runs right through the cave. Boat trips are available in the summer months and are an excellent way to fully appreciate the cave from all angles.
