Deborah
Loved it. We where upgraded to a lodge with a balcony which was great. Everything was brand new. Shower was amazing.
Zoe
An incredibly welcoming family who left you in peace, we needed help a couple of times and they were very obliging. Very comfortable beds, felt well rested and at home. My only recommendation would be to erect screens around the hot tub area, just for some extra privacy.
Julia
Absoletely LOVED this place. People who own the lodges are lovely and very very helpful.
Richard
Wow what a beautiful place the accommodation was 5 Star & the views were just amazing ! The owners were so helpful with ideas on adventures we could do with our children & my youngest was sick Christmas eve so even on Christmas Day they helped by washing my cot sheets, it makes a big difference when someone understands holidays with children, we would love to return!
Elaine

Fun Days Out near Balmaha Lodges

This living museum portrays the harsh life inside of a 19th century prison. Travel back in history on a darkly fascinating journey into life in a Victorian prison. In a time when petty theft could have you branded with a hot iron! Watch courtroom trials, talk to the prisoners and see what it was like being locked up in jail. You can also take the ghost tour. Live actors bring the setting to life.

James Hamilton Heritage Park has been awarded 4 Stars by the prestigious Visit Scotland Board and is a must visit attraction if you are in the area. The site features a gorgeous 16acre loch offering an exciting range of watersports including Canoeing and Windsurfing. Children and adults can enjoy taster sessions of most activities. The site also has two adventure playgrounds and a fleet of fun boats. The area is also abundant with wildlife and has a Bird Sanctuary.

M&D's, Scotland's Family Theme Park is a "must do" day out if you are in the Strathclyde region. The fun attraction is set within 20 acres of beautiful Country Park and offers rides, shows and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Besides the outdoor rides the site is also home to Amazonia - Scotland's only indoor Tropical Rainforest where visitors can meet loads of exotic animals. There is also a large indoor soft play area and an amazing glow in the dark bowling alley, so plenty to do if the weather is bad. During December Scotland's largest Grotto with animated Christmas scenes can also be enjoyed.

The amazing Loudoun Castle Theme Park is the largest in Scotland taking up a staggering 500 acres of glorious countryside. The park is suitable for visitors of all ages and has an excellent choice of rides including thrilling Rollercoasters. The site also hosts some fantastic family shows including the popular 'Walk the Plank' High Dive Show.  This place is much more than a theme park though, and younger children in particular will love the Dougal McDougal's farm area where the inhabitants include friendly goats, pigs and llamas as well as rabbits and other small pets.
