Forest Edge Reviews

"The cleanest caravan I have ever visited and the best equipped. Could easily cook regular meals with everything supplied"
Verified Guest - Mar 2024
"Fantastic trip away to Forest Edge Holiday Park. The caravan was so spacious and clean.. Really good shower as well. Highly recommend to anyone wishing to explore the New Forest."
Melanie - Nov 2023
"Lodges are situated next to a road under trees. No sunlight all day on balcony"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"All so good really super all round Staff better than good. Most impressed many thanks 10 stars out of 5 will book again for sure Clive trayler THANKYOU"
Bridget - Nov 2023
"We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, the caravan itself could not be faulted and was even better than we expected, especially as it was accommodation that catered for dogs. The caravan was spotlessly clean, beds made and ready before our check in time of 4pm.It had plenty of space and everything in good working order. The only downside was the road noise, we had read about this before we booked and had an online chat with Skye about where we would be located, she assured us it would be away from the road - but this did not appear to be the case - and we all found it tricky to sleep on our first night. There is a constant rumble of traffic throughout the night. The location of the park was really handy for Dorset and the New Forest, the site was really well maintained and we would return, but perhaps to the quieter site further down the road."
Heidi - Nov 2023
"Good location for exploring Dorset. The park is kept immaculate and staff were always helpful. Slight downside is noise from A31, didn't bother us but I'm sure it would bother some if they are looking for silence. Park has limited facilities but you are given passes for site just up the road which has good swimming pools and bar and restaurant. We had a 3 bedroom caravan which was good for 4 adults and 2 children. It was very clean and tidy. The furniture was not the best in terms of comfort but wouldn't stop us using park again."
Michael - Nov 2023
"The cleanest site we have stayed on, caravan was modern and spotless, staff friendly. Nice cycle through the woods to the main site for swimming pool etc. we enjoyed our stay apart from the road noise. Our caravan was at the back by the road and traffic never seemed to stop even through the night. Made it difficult to sleep."
Nathan - Nov 2023
"Very nice lodge really very clean. Good value for your money it was a pity about the area wish it had been more closer to the coast. But the accommodation was really very good. We would definitely book a lodge again."
Lee - Nov 2023
"Had a lovely break . Lodge was just right . Clean ,tidy . Lovely walks and not too far from any where ."
David - Nov 2023
"Lovely break at Forest Edge, the only thing not to like is the traffic noise. Please note there is no entertainment at this site you need to walk or drive to Oakdene, if that is a concern for you stay at Oakdene."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"This site suited us very well and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. The site was quiet, well maintained with good signage and friendly and helpful staff. It was brilliant as there were 2 dedicated parking spaces per caravan. The caravan was well positioned, very clean and warm. The hot tub was very clean and just the right temperature.Access was contact free and surprisingly our caravan was ready 2 hours before the given check in time. Bonus as we missed the downpour whilst unloading the car.We had an excellent week and would definitely be using this site and hopefully the same caravan in the future."
Dolores - Nov 2023
"It was very nice carvan we will like to book again"
Jaswinder - Nov 2023
"Enjoyed the hoilday the only thing that spoiled the break was waiting for text message to say room was ready which never got also email with entertainment pass the ladies at the reception at oakdene forest Park was very helpful"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"we had a lovely time first time we took our dog so it was lovely for walks a little bit loud with the traffic but soon got used to it would recommend"
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"We had a lovely stay in one of your caravans, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the site is in a perfect place to get to lot of attractions and beautiful places to visit. We liked that we were a little walk away from the main site as that would have been a little busy for us all the time, it also meant that if we chose to go over we had a lovely walk through the woods. All in all a great place to stay."
Hazel - Nov 2023
"We all had a great time and would book again in the future"
Lindsey - Nov 2023
"Good value accommodation. One improvement would be to replace the large footstool with a coffee table."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Lovely campsite, caravan they only thing wrong was the noise from road."
Emma Courtney - Nov 2023
"We really enjoyed our stay at Forest Edge. We like the fact that it is a small site but also connected to Oakdene. We didn't realise it was about a miles walk to Oakdene. It's fine when you know, but it's not just a quick walk & too far for small children. It was quite wet & muddy when we walked it.Our only negatives on the caravan would be that there are no sockets in the second bedroom & the sofa is not very comfortable."
Mary - Oct 2023
"Wonderfully modern caravan. Very spacious and was perfect for our weekend away. Hot tub was clean and perfect for us. Excellent location, we have booked to come back again over the summer."
Ellen - Jun 2023
"Basic items lacking e.g. chopping board. Freezer needs a clean.Carpets looking old & frayed which is a shame as the rest of the outfit looks neat & tidy"
Nikki - Jun 2023
"We would definitely come again"
Janet - Jun 2023
"The cooker is showing wear and I could not read the settings .The toaster is the worst I have seen.Cheap and nasty a normal slced loaf does not fit and crumpets stick in the tpaster"
Philip - May 2023
"Fantastic van.
Very clean and well equipped"
Adrian - Aug 2020
"Very nice park but bit of a pain having to go to Oakdene to use facilities but we knew that before we booked"
Jenny - Aug 2020
"We enjoyed our holiday very much, our van was clean & of a good standard, the park is very clean, not very large but the sister site is close by for swimming & entertainment. There are a couple of dog friendly pubs which do good food nearby. This site is quiet & just outside the entrance is forest which is great for dog walking which our dog loved. We would definitely return to this site to see more of Hampshire."
Christine - Jul 2022
"Just what we wanted peace and quiet. Mobile home was excellent had more than everything we needed. Very happy customer would definitely go back again. Gives you time to recharge your batteties."
Justine - Jul 2022
"A nice and quiet relaxing caravan site."
Donald - Jul 2022
"Beautiful site Close to a host of locations and forest parks Only concern was the constant noise from the A31"
Denise - Jul 2022
"Amazing and helpful staff made our honeymoon very welcoming, great and tasty food great value for money"
Daniel - Jun 2022
"Wonderful accommodation weather and location"
Jill - Jun 2022
"Back from a lovely weekend break at Forest Edge. Very small site but use of Oakdene facilities. The site was very very clean and with just my husband and our dog perfect location for forest walks. Would recommend and will stay again"
Christine - Jun 2022
"Easy self check-in. Really lovely, clean and spacious 3 bed. Tidy very well kept park. Great location with walking distance to forest. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. The best uk holiday park we have stayed in by far."
