Oakdene Forest Reviews

"Showing its age.Windows kept closed with folded cardboard. Hole in the sofaLovely showerHorrific double bed that could be used as a form of torture. New mattress required"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Comfortable stay, thank you"
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"The caravan was very clean and the sofas comfortable as was the double bed, the bedding was fine but thin duvet on the double. Crockery and pans all good but the knives were not sharp enough to cut anything. There was no blind at the kitchen window, no plug at the sink and water very hot and difficult to regulate in the shower. The ensuite toilet was good to have and plenty of storage. We didn't bother to complain about the missing items as only stayed a short time. Nice complimentary tea cloth and oven mitts."
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Very nice and clean, was like home from home. The walk in shower was very assessable, will definitely be back."

"We've stayed in a Statement 3 and Statement 2 on a few occasions and at different parks, they are always very clean and comfortable, we've only ever had one issue (ants) but that was due to the time of year. I would definitely recommend these caravans."
Lizzie - Nov 2023

"It's not such a friendly place!"
Elaine - Nov 2023
"We loved the lodge. Really spacious with veranda and hot tub. We were situated right next to the forest which was perfect due to having our dog with us, also perfect for bike rides with the teenagers!"
Rachel - Nov 2023
"Our holiday at Oakdene was a massive let down. For the price we paid, we definitely expected more. Our unit was not decently cleaned, and the cleaning team were called back on our arrival when I found tissues, plasters, wrappers and various other items behind the bedside tables in all rooms. The shower in the main room had a lot of black mould. The one bedroom carpet when I bent down to look for something I dropped smelt of poo, and I found a filthy hand towel folded and left in one cupboard. The Go-Active activities were closed, which was disappointing. Upon check out, we went to main reception to have a coffee... the toilets were being cleaned, and hence closed. I went to reception to ask the lady on duty if we could get access to the swimming pool toilet facilities. I stood waiting to ask her while she was on a call to a co-worker after about 5 minutes, she eventually asked the co worker to hold on, and in a very irritated manner and tone, asked if there was something she could do for me. It overall was very disappointing... the only thing we enjoyed was the hot tub at the unit."
Verified Guest - Nov 2023
"Good and very clean , we use hot tub every day ,they check hot tub everyday keep it clean and safe for us use it please with that"
David - Nov 2023
"Great holiday, lodge very clean and staff really helpful. Only thing that was a bit annoying was that there werent any hooks anywhere to hanh wet towels and robes etc"
Sarah - Nov 2023
"Overall it was a lovely time, be aware that the drainage can be slow when showering or having a bath but probably due to drainage pipe sizing which has obviously been the best option for this type of property, only mentioning it as some people may think that there is a fault, as they are not used to the slowness of the water drainage in the bath and shower"
Carol - Nov 2023
"Very nice site would definitely go back"
Huw - Aug 2022
"A lovely holiday with a spotless caravan. Swimming facilities perfect and all round easy chilled break. Thank you"
Alice - Aug 2022
"The staff were so friendly! The pools are great for the children the restaurant was great. The caravan was clean & tidy"
Cat - Jul 2022
"Absolutely brilliant holiday located in a tranquil setting. Booking in and out was a breeze and we were provided with apps for food, passes etc. Accommodation was spotless and staff were extremely helpful and friendly."
Vivienne - Jul 2022
"Had a lovely stay. Really great facilities and location, staff were friendly and helpful. Caravan a little tighter in space than expected but enjoyed nonetheless!"
