Hoburne Park Cottages Reviews

"We really enjoyed our holiday, The walk to the beach was about 10 minutes and we walked all along Highcliffe, Avon and to Mudford Quay. We went to the shopping centre on the Saturday, which was about 20 mins away which was lovely. Its a good location to get to different places. The park facilities were small but the pool was nice, the parks were good and the staff were friendly. The arcade machines didnt have any prizes in on the several occasions we went in so I did ask a lady if she could put some things in which she did for us. The hot hub in the accommodation was set at 38 degrees but as it was so cold outside the temp soon went down to about 36.5 so it was just like a warm bath which was a shame. The doors in the accommodation were really heavy, my mum hurt her back when opening these and they did keep slamming shut, even when you were trying to be quiet! Unfortunately one of the laundry trucks on the Monday thought it would be nice to finish the holiday off by beeping at me when waiting to pull out at the main road which scared me to death! But overall we enjoyed the holiday"

"Just a lovely little holiday.. the complex is cute too. Outside swimming pool nice. An overall friendly place"
Barry - Oct 2023
"We had amazing short break at Avon Cottage on Hobourne holiday park. A real home from home and the hot tub was a special treat! So clean, the cottage had everything we could possibly need with that luxury touch. A couple of minutes walk away was the Hobourne holidays reception with indoor and outdoor pool, restaurant and nightly entertainment and arcade. All staff were super friendly and went over and above to ensure customer satisfaction. We cant wait to come back, thanks for a lovely holiday!"
Verified Guest - Oct 2023

Catherine - Jun 2023
"Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!"
Christopher - Apr 2024
"Beautiful cottage with hot tub and log burner. lovely hosts, peaceful, perfect for our mini break. Hope to return for longer soon!"
Emma - Apr 2024
"Really well equipped house, lovely and warm too which was so nice on a rainy December day! Bath was just lovely and a nice big shower! The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. Really beautiful, well converted property. Thank you! "
Phoebe - Apr 2024
"It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!"
Andrew - Apr 2024
"Lovely cottage. Great location for us. Away from the hustle and bustle. Great hot tub . Lovely helpful non intrusive owners. They have it just right!"
Simon - Apr 2024
"Absolutely loved how well maintained and equipped this cottage is. Plenty of dog walks right on the doorstep. Very friendly host, they were so efficient and communication was excellent. We enjoyed meeting the animals on the farm and the very curious pig penelope. Perfect escape for us and the doggos. Will definitely be back, brilliant value!! Highly recommend. "
Brooke - Apr 2024
"Beautiful property, spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable, had a fabulous break, hot tub amazing x"
Libby - Apr 2024
"Very kind and considerate owners. Couldnt be better. Enormously helpful and extremely pleasant. Charming half-timbered cottage with a great strong shower, cosy kitchen & living room combination and very comfortable bed. Fantastic parking directly next to the rented cottage. Well heated and very charming, and spotlessly clean. Great walks across the fields to the local village of Thaxted and of course within easy travelling distance of the village, replete with half-timbered houses and windmill. "
James - Apr 2024
"We had a wonderful time in Goddard Mead. The cottage was very complete and there were walks on the doorstep. The welcome and stay was very warm. The owners are lovely people."
Annemieke - Apr 2024
"The owners Rob & Sharon, have gone to a great deal of work to sympathetically convert this historic building & we couldn't have had a warmer greeting from them both & of course Bonnie. Goddard's Mead has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The location is in a great area of Essex and would recommend taking the time to wander around Thaxted and other villages/towns nearby to discover it's fascinating history & buildings. "
Carol - Apr 2024
"Such a lovely place to stay in a really beautiful, private location. The owners were really friendly and helpful, nearby if needed but without breaking that sense of privacy. The hot tub was perfect after a day of cycling! One thing to be aware of, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, and so there's a lot of aircraft noise. It only took us a couple of hours to get used to it and it didn't spoil our holiday at all, but something to be aware of if you're sensitive to noise. "
Inderjit - Apr 2024
"The lovely cottage is situated on a working farm, but is very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are delightful. The cottage is very spacious with good equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom. The bed is really comfortable. The garden is secluded; dog proof and with good furniture. There are numerous walks around. Thaxted has good restaurants. We liked The Star and The Maypole. The Swan and the Indian are not bad either. We thoroughly recommend this place. "
Richard - Apr 2024
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Sharon and Robert were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and secure for our dog Archie. The location was ideal too with plenty of walks to find and Thaxted and surrounding villages are lovely places to visit. We felt our batteries had certainly been recharged during our week and we enjoyed our relaxing break! "
Denise - Apr 2024
"Stayed here for a week from 15 to 22 July with our 2 mini daschund girls who thoroughly enjoyed there stay making new friends in the village of thaxted. The cottage is lovely especially the hot tub a bonus as it was the hottest days of the year so the water was coolled so it was more refreshing the hosts were very welcoming was nice to see there horses being taken to the fields each day you are on the flight path near stansted but I enjoyed watching the planes come in would definitely recommend "
Sharon - Apr 2024
"Lovely accommodation, very peaceful and relaxing and great for dogs as the garden is fully inclosed"
Fleur - Apr 2024
"Had such a lovely, relaxing break. Cottage was immaculate, equipped with everything you need and some lovely added extras too. Couldnt recommended more"
