About Landguard Holiday Park

Between Shanklin and Sandown you’ll find a place where you don’t have to choose between countryside and beach. Landguard offers both the peace of the countryside and the fun of the seaside in equal measure. With three seaside resorts nearby, your family can get their fill of seaside fun at Landguard. The park sits on the outskirts of Shanklin: with golden sands, Victorian beach huts, an arcade and lots of water sports it makes a great day out.

The park has a leafy woodland feel with a relaxed atmosphere, making it just the place to unwind. But, there’s also plenty to keep you entertained on park, with family entertainment, and child-friendly activities including adventure playground, amusement arcades and both and indoor and outdoor heated pool.

Plus, at Landguard, you get double the fun as you also have full access to the facilities at our sister park Lower Hyde, meaning there’s plenty to do on park. Due to car parking arrangements Landguard may not be suitable for wheelchair users or persons with mobility difficulties.

Landguard Holiday Park Reviews

"Nice clean van, well appointed. No tea spoons or draining rack???????????????"
Russ - Apr 2024
"Lovely caravan, couldn't ask for more really. Was clean and neat when we arrived, decor was modern, loved it. The sofa bed was a massive hit with us all, kids included! Very relaxing!"
Holly - Apr 2024
"Have been to better sites. Clean & no parking near caravans is a good safety system, however the carpark is way too small, very uneven & no designated disabled bays.Caravans fine but have been in better at Haven sites. 99% of vans have no deck. There was no outdoor furniture."
Heather - Nov 2023
"Clean a comfortable Would have loved a tea towel & bath mat."
Lynnie - Nov 2023
"Bar and restaurant was very good, enjoyed the meals we had - no complaints at all. The arcade needs a bit of love, a lot of the games broken or very old. Outdoor pool was great, didnt use the indoor one as for smaller children. A bit annoying you cant park next to the caravans but not a major problem as overflow car park a 2 minute walk. Shower was hot and powerful and beds comfy. Caravan was fine for our week stay but internet was an issue as not very good anywhere on site, we didnt pay for the park broadband service as felt this should be included"
Dave and Samuel - Nov 2023
"Can't really rate or comment, as didn't use!"
Colin - Jun 2023
"Missed a few bits of rubbish, no bin bag or washing up liquid which would have been good, we did have someone come and check everything was OK."
Dennis - Jun 2023
"The caravan was filthy, the kettle was full of limescale so had to buy limescale remover to clean it. Ants everywhere and the sofas were stained and full of sand so hadnt been cleaned properly! Did not smell clean either. The kitchen blind was also broken."
Stacey - Jun 2023
"Could be better, could have been warned about ongoing works on site, had constant flow of workmen passing and staring into the caravan. Had to move our car due to large lorries in and out of the car park close to us. Caravan could have been cleaner, however plenty of space for the 6 adults we had on the holiday, pull out bed not great so used sofa instead which was ok. Microwave display broken and no instructions on how to use appliances. Shop was ok but could have had better stock. Only any good if you drive really, public transport from this park was not great and being disabled this meant I had to stay on site most days and with little to do there I paid a lot."
Sarah - May 2023
"Caravan was excellent."
Dale - May 2023
"Breakfasts are to die for best meal of the day"
Mario - May 2023
"Lovely location where our lodge was, only one night in the field opposite were there were people camping was a lot of noise but apart from that I would definitely go back. Bit pricey but it was a late booking so maybe that was why."
Teresa - Aug 2020
"Caravan was really nice,a bit of rubbish under the seats in the living room area but main parts u expect to be clean were spotless"
Lisa - Aug 2020
"We had a great time here. The location was perfectly placed for getting about and enjoying days out. The park and caravan we stayed in were very clean and well equipped. The on site shop was handy although lacked quantity and selection but the local supermarket is just down the road. Staff were great and really helpful. All in all a great time was had and would definitely recommend this location."
Craig - Aug 2020
"The caravan itself was great. Only problem was the hen party next to our caravan which had a party till one in the morning."
Gail - Aug 2020
"Spacious and clean caravan"
Claire - Aug 2020
"Loved it! Will defo use again next time we visit the Island"
Kelly - Jul 2020
"Excellent holiday and weve already booked to go back next year but next time in a lodge!
We cant wait!"
Debbie - Jul 2020
"My family and I have just come back from a mini holiday to this park and had a fantastic time.

Both the site and our caravan were extremely clean and the staff professional and friendly. We were very impressed with the service provided by the park and cant praise its staff enough. The caravan was spotless (I mean spotless) and was well equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The attention to detail re. the COVID-19 situation and cleanliness was commendable.

We will be recommending and returning."
James - Jul 2020
"No veranda as advertised so marked down on furniture and fittings"
Richard - Jul 2020

Sunny - Jul 2020

Carly - Sep 2019
"Caravan was lovely. It was clean and tidy. Comfortable to stay in felt at home. Only thing i would recommend is that they provide a sponge to wash up with and towel to dry, however a member of staff was very helpful and got us some as the shop was closed"
Kerry - Sep 2019
"Had a lovely long weekend with our 6 year old Grandson. The park served its purpose as a base and the caravan was very clean and tidy."
Debbie - Aug 2022
"We stayed in a rowan lodge for 7 nights, great location on site, excellent accommodation. The evening entertainment was great. Park location on island is very good, a walk to Shanklin, short drive to Ventnor and blackgang shine. Would definitely return and recommend."
James - Jul 2022
"We had a lovely holiday. The lodge was spacious and very clean and we had a great position in the woodlands. The indoor pool was good and my children loved the slide, however the outdoor pool was very crowded and people were jumping in on top of you and there were also a lot of ball throwing and inflatables. The shop was good and the ladies who worked in there were very nice and friendly. We would definitely come back here. Overall the site and facilities were excellent. The only downside was not being able to walk anywhere off site, but everything was only a short drive away. There were also 2 supermarkets very close by which was very convenient for self catering."
Nicola - Jul 2022
"A beautiful relaxing park."
Stephen - Jul 2022
"Loved the park and accommodation, definitely stay again."
Tracie - Jul 2022
"Very good value for money. Clean facilities"
Verified Guest - Jul 2022
"All the staff were so wonderful We will be returning We would have like more available activities than were available but we were there early in the season Only issue was the kitchen had major power cuts regularly and food was often not available but it didn’t change our holiday enjoyment"
