Sun Valley Reviews

"Very helpful and accommodating staff. Wonderfully quiet location. Perfect"
Tracy - Jul 2022
"We have just returned from a 3 night weekend break here (1st to 4th July ‘22) and we would highly recommend. We stayed in Fowey lodge and we were incredibly impressed at the quality of the accommodation and the peaceful location. The on site restaurant ‘Rebellion’ was a further surprise! We needed up eating here every day of our stay, the food is superb. We used the indoor pool (you need to book a time slot) and had it all to ourselves. John the park manager is pleasant and helpful and told us the pool was a pleasant 29°, very warm and inviting. He was also helpful in advising us of places to visit to make the most of our short stay. We went to the harbour village Charlestown (beautiful) and the lovely fishing village of Mevagissey both of which are a short drive away. We would recommend and would certainly stay again in future. Thank you for a lovely stay."
Peter - Jul 2022
"Mobile home clean, spacious and modern. John the park supervisor was very helpful. Indoor pool very clean. The food we ate at the on-site restaurant was amazing. Overall really good holiday at sun valley."
Lorraine - Jul 2022
"Sun valley is in an excellent location for visiting many places surrounding St.Austell. The property, Fowey, is much larger than appears in the pictures, plenty of room inside, the hot tub is freshly filled for your arrival and checked twice daily. We had a great holiday."
Kirsten - Jul 2022
"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The problems were that there was no wife and having a 15 year old that's important. I also found out on the saturday before we arrived that the bar and restaurant would not be open until the Thursday night which was the night before we left"
Karen - Jul 2022
"A great site, with lots to do in the surrounding area. Not far from the beach. The lodge was beautiful, clean and well equipped. The only downside was there was no WiFi and very little phone signal, but if you want to get away from it all this is the place for you."
Julie - Jul 2022
"We as a family of 4 and 2 x dogs had a great stay at Sun Valley. The accommodation was good value and in lovely green surroundings. Location is great for getting out and about with Mevagissey our favourite place in Cornwall just a few minutes drive away. There’s a nice walk along the cycle track down to the Ship Inn and Pentewan beach. Mobile signal is only available near the entrance of the park but it was quite nice to have a bit of a digital detox. There is Wi-Fi available at the on-site restaurant."
Andrew - Jul 2022
"We stayed in the fowey for a week 4 adults 2 children and a 4month old baby. The house was perfect for our family's needs, it was spotless and decorated to a high standard. Our holiday was made perfect by how friendly welcoming and helpful the staff all where especially John nothing was ever to much for him, even if he couldn't pronounce fowey correctly and kept calling it foyey ? (sorry John I couldn't resist ?). The site and all amenities where spotless."
Rebecca - Jun 2022
"Lovely site for chilling and relaxing.not far from anywhere but highlight for me was the donkey sanctuary, Charlestown is a must to visit it is really just down the road 5 mins away in car. Plenty of supermarkets within 5 min of driving."
Linda - Jun 2022
"First time we have been to this site everything was just how we wanted it and are looking forward to our next trip and booking"
Christine - Jun 2022
"Holiday and site really lovely the only disappointing thing was there were no doors out onto the veranda, you had go through the kitchen down steps walk along and up some more steps to the veranda. Apparently the only lodge on the site like it, this put a dampener on our holiday."
Carole - Jun 2022
"Brilliant location, ideal to get to st Austell, charlestown, mevigessey and beautiful local coastline and countryside. Lovely clean caravan with all facilities and more for a bronze caravan, exceeded expectations"
Array - Jun 2022
"Fantastic family hol"
Jennifer - Aug 2020
"Excellent staff John and Angela especially thank you"
Cathy - Aug 2020
"First time in Cornwall and would highly recommend Sun Valley and Marlow caravan as an excellent base to explore all round."
Alison - Aug 2020
"Short break for relaxation and great views, got it with extras thrown in."
Alan - Aug 2020
"Worst camp Ive ever stayed at but lovely static, yet not the one we should have had"
Verity - Aug 2019
"Excellent accommodation, very clean, beautiful surroundings. The staff are excellent and friendly."
Beverley - Aug 2019
"Beds were really comfy and I think slightly wider than other caravans we have stayed in.
Everything you needed in the caravan was provided (you will need to take tea towels)."
Alison - Jul 2018
"Overall had a lovely Holiday"
Pauline - May 2018
"good value for money"
Margaret - May 2018
"Had a fantastic week loved it all even when it rained. The site was lovely with plenty to do and the kids loved it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us some very good tips on the best places to go."
Lewis - Aug 2017
"Had an awesome time. Would visit again."
Rebecca - Jul 2017
"Perfect week spent here."
Michael - Jul 2017
"Sorry to say but things inside the caravan are looking very jaded, and the mattress needs changing badly. Please please could you do some thing with this as it is most important for the customers."
Dorothy - Jul 2017
"Caravan review - great but LOTS of flies! Our caravan had a lot of flies in it (both dead and alive) - when I asked at reception if there was anything we could have to deal with them, they were helpful but said that there are always lots of flies there. Needs looking into!"
Abbie - Oct 2016
"lovely surroundings and caravan, only complaint was fire didn't get very hot (although it wasn't cold the week we stayed) and the toilet was very difficult to flush."
Teresa - Sep 2016
"Considering it's the cheapest caravan on site it was absolutely fine. Not swish but more than sufficient and deep cleaned before we got there. Even in Aug the caravan can be chilly so take extra blankets and dressing gowns / onesies. But no complaints - did the job perfectly "
Naomi - Aug 2016
"Very clean and comfortable to stay in. Very impressed"
Laura - Aug 2016
"The caravan was very clean and homely."
Lindsey - Sep 2015
"Excellent value for money"
Gwyneth - Sep 2015
"Overall we enjoyed our stay in the caravan and it suited us perfectly for our holiday."
Garry - Sep 2015
"The pine had everything we needed however (as with most caravans) the beds are quite small. Make sure you take everything if you are self catering, as there are basic kitchen things but not much else. Overall the pine was very clean and tidy, definitely does the job if a little threadbare in places. Shower is modern and gets to a good temperature. Very limited or slow WiFi, and mobile reception limited."
Naomi - Jul 2015
"Caravan clean and spacious. Had a great time. Lovely surroundings. Helpful staff. Pool a bit chilly."
Jenny - Jul 2015
"Very clean, very modern."
Claire - Jul 2015
"No complaints with our caravan. Clean and comfortable. Not the highest luxury as we'd requested a dog friendly van and gone for the cheapest option but it was great. Would stay again"
Emma - May 2015
"Great site will visit again"
Verified Guest - May 2015
"Excellent location, extremely clean and tidy site, pool is excellent too. I think we were the first occupants this year because the caravan was clean (as at the end of last season?), but could have done with a proper spring clean/airing this year; hence 9/10.

Highly recommended nonetheless!"
Martin - Apr 2015
"Looking tired...it felt as it was end of season it didnt matter. There was a door broken in the kitchen, the shower door was broken, kitchen items missing and the bathroom blind was off. Having said that it was clean and a larger van than expected."
Jaclyn - Nov 2014
"Curtains and carpets were had seen better days, but otherwise very good."
David - Nov 2014
"Great location would stop here again lovely quite family park ,food and drink was great value for money ."
Lesley - Aug 2014
"Gorgeous friendly site. We all had a fabulous holiday"
