Located in St Ann’s Chapel, the park is more than deserving of its name thanks to the stunning views over the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. About Tamar View Holiday Park

A remote, relaxing family getaway is on the cards with Tamar View Holiday Park in South Cornwall. Located in St Ann’s Chapel, the park is more than deserving of its name thanks to the stunning views over the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Whether you travel with family or friends, you’re sure to come home feeling refreshed and relaxed from your time at Tamar View Holiday Park.

Whether you choose to take a train over the Tamar Viaduct to Plymouth or get some exercise on the bike by cycling through the Tamar Trails, there’s certainly plenty for everyone to do and enjoy.

For anyone looking to bring their family four legged friends along, we’d really recommend the Edgecumbe caravan, which not only permits two pets to stay (at a small extra charge) but sleeps up to six people over three bedrooms – one double, one twin and one with bunks.

Complete with a Flatscreen television and Wi-Fi, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained if the weather lets you down, although it’s worth taking advantage of your outdoor hot tub if it gets nice! But if Edgecumbe isn’t right for you all two and three-bedroom caravans come with an outdoor hot tub too.

A smaller version of the Edgecumbe caravan can be found within the Pentillie lodge, which sleeps up to four people within two bedrooms (one double with en-suite WC and one twin) and also allows for two pets to accompany you.

Whitsand is a great option too, particularly for smaller groups since it sleeps up to four guests over two bedrooms – one double with en-suite and one twin. There’s still plenty of room for everyone to relax together thanks to the open plan lounge, diner and kitchen area, and the party can even spread outside thanks to the caravan’s veranda with garden furniture and hot tub, there’s plenty of space to enjoy those gorgeous Cornish views.

Cotehele and Cotehele Mill are perfect for stretching those legs – and learning a bit of history at the same time! The Tudor house is roughly just a ten-minute drive away, and includes a working mill, garden, and an extensive estate, so there’s plenty to explore.

Pop in for a cream tea at the Barn Restaurant or grab a coffee at the Edgecumbe Tea Room before you go! Remember to stop off at the Cotehele shop and plant centre, as well as the Bull Pen Gallery (selling work by local artists and craft makers) to pick up a little something to bring home.

Children will love the chance to interact with animals at the Tamar Valley Donkey Park, meeting creatures great and small, from donkeys, goats and sheep to pigs, rabbits, and guinea pigs. About a ten-minute walk away from St Anne’s Chapel, there’s no need for any restless long car journeys either. Head to Holly’s café for a warm drink, explore the Donkey Bazaar Gift Shop or let the kids loose on the indoor play barn – so don’t let the weather control your holiday!

If you're looking for that perfect picnic spot, Kit Hill Country Park is a great option to enjoy the Cornish weather at. The highest point in the Tamar Valley features over 400 acres of heathland to admire the views over Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor from. Explore the network of walking routes solo or look out for guided tours and events to learn more about the areas history and natural beauty.

Tamar View Holiday Park Reviews

"Talland was beautifully clean and well maintained. The hot tub was a hit with all the family. Tesco is within a short drive. The park itself is in a fantastic location with stunning views of the Tamar Valley. We found it really well situated to visit both Devon and Cornwall with loads to do within an hours drive. More locally we recommend visiting Kit Hill, Cothele and the Panier Market at Tavistock."
Helen - Aug 2022
"Had a fab holiday here and the views are wonderful would deff come again, staff are lovely ? thank you"
Debbie - Aug 2022
"We have had an absolutely fabulous holiday. Accommodation was beautiful, surrounds stunning we were graced with good weather too. All round perfect holiday would love to come back ."
Caroline - Aug 2022
"The location & surroundings are lovely with great views, Sadly there were trees blocking the fabulous view in front of our site."
Sylvia - Jul 2022
"Our stay at Tamar View was excellent. The caravan was lovely - comfortable, well equipped and such a fantastic view. The staff were most helpful and the check-in and check-out process so streamlined. The Hot Tub was amazing and put the finishing touch to a lovely and peaceful holiday"
Stephanie - Jul 2022
"Lovely place to stay . Beautiful views of tamar vally , plenty to do near by, kit hill was great to go for a nice walk and u could see for miles . Would highly recommend staying there ,"
Sharon - Jul 2022
"Best static I've stayed in. We are going to rebook next year."
Sarah - Jul 2022
"Had a lovely time here with my family, pieceful and quiet would def recommend."
Michelle - Jul 2022
"Caravan was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The views from are balcony were gorgeous when the sun was out lol. The hot tub (which was maintained everyday) really made the stay as there’s no entertainment or food on site but we were fine with that as we brought are own and also shopped at Tesco (which is 5 minutes down the road). The location is good as you are only about an hour away from places like Perranporth or Newquay which we love. We visited Bodmin Jail and took the guided tour and that was really fun, so I’d recommend that for any rainy days you might have."
Leanne - Jul 2022
"The site was small & quiet. We were sent a plan prior to arrival so knew which Lodge we were going to be in. We were advised by text that the accommodation was ready before 4pm & the fact that the keys were already waiting in the lodge made check-in easy"
Emma - Jul 2022
"Absolutely beautiful caravan . Fabulous views fab location"
Deborah - Jul 2022
"We really enjoyed our stay at Taymar View Holiday Park. Everything was spotlessly clean. The hot tub a delight and the views amazing. We would recommend a visit."
David - Jul 2022
"Came here for a nice relaxing break and had exactly that, Very clean modern caravan which was on the end not much of a few but it was really nice and private. A car is a must here as not to much around but a overall great location for exploring both Devon and Cornwall. Will definitely be booking to come back. Stayed in portwrinkle."
Chloe - Jul 2022
"A must place to stay for a nice relaxing holiday. Very peaceful, stunning views & in prime location for exploring Devon & Cornwall. The caravan was just lovely, very clean, modern inside with lots of added extras, including a hot tub, plus the wifi was speedy & very efficient. I would definitely recommend a stay here.."
Carol - Jul 2022
"Just amazing loved every minute"
Suzzana - Jan 1970
"Very clean ( and new) caravan. Bed very comfy and big.Hot tub was slightly overlooked and could only see our car rather than the lovely view. Wifi was a bit unreliable but we could get 4g so not really a problem.
The view was amazing, not many caravans/lodges on the site so very peaceful. Fab pub just up the road. Would recommend"
Susan - Jan 1970
"Tamar View, wow what a stunning view, when we could see it through the low mist. Patio doors and beautiful decking a lovely touch, quality of interior was to a very high standard with all home comfort necessities catered for. We thought the hot tub was a bit gimmicky but actually we loved it and used it most days. Lovely surroundings, beautiful wild flower well kept gardens. Very quiet even though the road is just above. Nice little wild flower walk across the road. Ideally situated for the south coast. Would definitely recommend."
Robert - Jan 1970
"Lovely beautiful place. Just a lot of money for a weekend only."
Paige - Jan 1970
"Cant wait to return 5 star caravan home "
Nicole - Jan 1970
"Fab caravan, dont think well get it for such a good price again once everyone finds out about it!"
Nicola - Jan 1970
"A short weekend break away. We only live about half hour away from the park, but it was just nice to get away. Even though there is a main road right behind the caravans, the noise is not loud enough to bother you. Brand new caravans with all facilities, the balcony and opening doors to it are really nice. We must have spent at least half the time in the hot tub! We would definitely come back, the weather was great too which made it even better."
Matt - Jan 1970
"Cawsand is every bit of luxury and worth every penny! Had a wonderful 4 days"
Mark & Janette - Jan 1970
"We really enjoyed our stay and the views were amazing. Our 3 bedroom caravan was very clean and new but could have done with an ensuite as only one toilet. Didn't really notice the noise from the main road. Loved the hot tub. We will be back."
Marc - Jan 1970
"Lovely new accommodation. Had everything we needed with the welcome addition of a hot tub."
Lesley - Jan 1970
"and place to stay. Views are amazing and even better sitting in the hot tub and looking out at the view.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to go. No facilities on site but for us this is okay, if you want a restaurant and entertainment best not to book here. Not far from shops and supermarkets about a 5 minute drive."
Laura - Jan 1970
"Beautiful caravan and very clean hot tub"
Laura - Jan 1970
"Edgecumbe caravan is very homely, very tidy and clean! We were very happy with our stay!! Hot tub was lush and relaxing will definitely come again thanks!"
Kirsty - Jan 1970
"Stunning views fantastic hot tub and brand new caravan very well equipped and close to lots of attractions would definitely come again "
Julie - Jan 1970
"Fabulous new caravan "
Janet - Jan 1970
"Everything was clean and ready for us to occupy. Also, recieved a call soon after we arrived just to check all was well, very nice to have that "looked after" feeling."
Howard - Jan 1970
"Neat and tidy. Clean and spacious. Just what we were looking for"
Grace - Jan 1970
"Great caravan with lovely views towards Plymouth. Some road noise but if the jets were on in the hot tub you couldn't really hear it. Great service from park hosts."
Glenn - Jan 1970
"Fantastic place, honestly not a bad word to say about it."
Emma - Jan 1970
"Nice modern caravan with lovely hot tub."
Dinah - Jan 1970
"Fantastic view from our caravan, over looking the Tamar. Sadly overlooked by the main road but this didnt cause too many problems. The caravan was very well equipped with very good quality kitchen equipment, I usually take my own frying pan but theres no need here!
The hot tub was lovely and the temperature stayed consistent.
The van is very comfortable with all mod cons and two bathrooms which makes all the difference when traveling with family.
The price of the caravan was extortionate for a weeks holiday and so sadly I probably wont stay again."
Debbie - Jan 1970
"Lovely caravan - spacious and new. Has a dishwasher which is a bonus and an electric fireplace. It was well stocked with everything we needed on the holiday - including towels and free WiFi! Only issue we had was the en-suite door wouldnt shut and the blinds did not close fully in the shower room. However we spoke to customer service and issues were resolved within 2 days. We also enjoyed the hot tub which was monitored and checked daily."
David - Jan 1970
"The 3 bedroom caravan was ok, but the two twin bedded rooms were a little tight and not ideal for adults.
Apart from that everything was great."
Dave - Jan 1970
"Accomodation was spotless and practically brand new.
Plenty of bedding and towels.
Hot tub checked daily.
Well appointed kitchen.
Bit of road noise but wonderful views.
We were in Cothele and the beds were so comfy. The twin beds aren't standard singles so you'll struggle if you're over 5'8" or larger in size.
Cothele has a lovely end of plot location so a lot more privacy for hottub and sitting out. The view is a little obstructed by a tree as its at the end and has lots of trees around adding to the privacy but in my opinion one of the best plots"
Cat - Jan 1970
"Beautiful caravan, spotlessly clean, friendly staff."
