This setting on the edge of the Peak District National Park also makes the lodges perfect for those looking to enjoy outdoor activities.
Moorland walks unfold from the doorstep and the region has numerous nature trails and cycle paths. Picture postcard villages are also plentiful and offer shops, tea rooms and country pups serving tasty local produce. Other attractions in the region include Chatsworth House and Gardens and Calke Abbey. The vibrant city of Manchester is also within reach with its thriving cafe culture, fantastic shopping centres and buzzing nightlife.
The lodges themselves boast contemporary style, beautiful furnishings and decor and breathtaking views over the Peak District. Woodland and Coombes View Lodges sleep up to 4 people and have spacious master bedrooms, open plan living space and external decking with private hot tubs.

Fun Days Out in Derbyshire

This unique farm makes a great day out for families with young children and also couples who enjoy getting out and exploring. With an array of farm animals including goats, pigs and sheep this farm is a popular attraction in the Etwall area of Derbyshire. Apart from the animals there are fun activities to take part in such as collecting and grading your own eggs and a hay play area for the little ones. The farm tea room serves drinks, cakes and light bites, the place to go when you are in need of a rest and a hot drink.

This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire. With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children. The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families. Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days. |

Gulliver's Kingdome is a family friendly theme park offering many attractions for children of all ages. The site is rather unique and features a huge array of rides including log flumes, roller coasters and pirate ships. For the little ones there are rides such as the veteran cars and the balloon wheel and Diego and Dora the Explorer are on hand to make sure they are having a great time. Between the 21st and 31st of October the park becomes a spooky Halloween spectacular with a range of shows and fireworks to enjoy. Standard prices are £12.00 for adults and children over 90cm. Group booking discounts are available.
