Hunters Quay is an action packed holiday spot for families and couples alike! The setting is beautiful; it’s next to the Holy Loch and the Firth of Clyde, and surrounded by glens where you’ll find an array of walking trails and wildlife. There’s loads for the kids to get involved with – from archery to WaterWalkerz – and with the wonderful Scottish lochs within easy reach, the whole family is going to be spoilt for choice.

There are simply too many superb facilities at Hunters Quay to list! With two indoor heated swimming pools, you can go snorkelling and try your hand at sea scooters and raft building. The park has an indoor and outdoor children’s play area and a games room - as well as badminton, archery, crossbows, fencing, Body Zorbs, Aeroball and Pana Soccer. There is also a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi for the adults – and a host of other activities to keep you busy.

We love the Oak Premier Lodge 6 which is brand new for 2012 and sleeps up to six people. It has been fully interior designed and represents the height of luxury with magnificent views over the Loch Lomond National Park. The lodge has a verandah and outdoor barbecue area with its own private hot tub, a spacious living area and a flat screen TV in all three bedrooms.

Argyllshire and Islands is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where majestic landscapes, spectacular coastal scenery and lochside villages abound. Visitors to the area will love the superb walks and cycle paths. You could relive 500 years of turbulent Viking history at Vikingar in Largs – or head to Fins Seafood Restaurant in Fairlie for some delicious oysters, scallops and home-smoked salmon!

Our Top Tip
"The David Marshall Visitor Centre in Aberfoyle is a great place to go for guided walks, talks and seasonal activities."

The lodge was great and one of the best we have stayed in, only issue is the lodge turns off at 12am! Which is very unfair because you have paid for this for the time of your stay! And it's the only lodge that we have stayed in that does it!

Beautiful caravan with everything we could have possibly wanted. Only fault was there was no gate on the decking outside which meant we had to find something to block it so that our dog didn't run off

It was a lovely lodge and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. It was high season and a little expensive but it was well equipped to a high standard and the hot tub was a bonus. Our only comment about this would be the fencing around the hot tub blocked the view down to the loch and, having a 1 year old crawling toddler in the group, the gap between the fencing and the decking was worryingly large.

Fantastic weekend,so much so we booked for next year before we left.
Marian
We had a lovely relaxing holiday at Hunters Quay. The cabin was very comfortable in a beautiful location. I had asked for a cabin in a quiet area as one of my foster children has a disability, the one we were allocated suited her needs perfectly.
Janis
It would be good if the gas and electricity was included in initial price
Catherine
We had a lovely holiday and would recommend the site to others . The facilities were good a day everything clean and tidy
Donna
Beautiful surroundings, clean and comfortable caravan.
Elisabeth
Slightly out of season which suited me and my children well- empty swimming pool etc beautiful scenery. Although quite close to other cabins , the placement of the windows made it feel like there was space.

Fun Days Out near Hunters Quay

Inveraray Jail - about 18 Miles

This living museum portrays the harsh life inside of a 19th century prison. Travel back in history on a darkly fascinating journey into life in a Victorian prison. In a time when petty theft could have you branded with a hot iron! Watch courtroom trials, talk to the prisoners and see what it was like being locked up in jail. You can also take the ghost tour. Live actors bring the setting to life.
