Set in an idyllic sheltered position in the centre of the Island of Buidhe the location of these lodges could hardly be better. Surrounded by spectacular scenery, shimmering clear waters and stunning unspoilt islands - Loch Shuna is a dream come true for nature lovers as well as those who enjoy outdoor pursuits.

A causeway connects the island to the mainland village of Craobh Haven so although the lodges are very peaceful they are not totally isolated. The village offers a selection of shops, a pub, restaurant and marina where you can enjoy fantastic local food and soak up the friendly atmosphere.

The one bedroom Morning Lodge is perfect for couples and has a sauna and a king-size four poster bed. The Discovery Lodge is luxurious and a good choice for small families with two bedrooms and a patio and lawn area with outdoor hot tub. The Terra Nova Lodge has a canopy double bedroom and one twin bedroom, a sauna and patio with hot tub.

Loch Shuna Reviews

Mr and Mrs Handford, Northumberland
We have just come back from Loch Shuna and felt we had to tell everyone how good it was. This was our 1st time to Scotland and out 1st lodge holiday and we were very impressed with everyting from the views to the hot tub. We went on some great walks (wrap up warm!) and spotted some rabbits and even a woodpecker. Hoping to go back next year.

Just heaven. peace and quiet at all times, only the birds for background noise. it was just what we needed.

Ideal place to have a romantic break, accommodation was lovely, some nice walks in the area and a couple of places to get good food. All in all a great Christmas holiday.

Lodge was lovely and reasonably well equipped. The promise of wifi was unfortunately not delivered (this had apparently 'broken down' a few weeks ago and not been repaired) and therefore with no mobile reception, there was no access to internet (or the outside world!) at all at the lodge. Had we known this, we'd have done our detailed research of the area and things to do before we went, but expected to be able to do this whilst we were there on ipad/tablets. The 'back to basics' lifestyle was quite nice I suppose (re lack of tech) but the wifi was one of the reasons we booked this place. We would have booked elsewhere had we known. So it was back to the old tourist brochures to find things to do. The Lodge was on a very remote but beautiful island on the West coast of Scotland. Travel by car each day really was a must and this did mean some hours on the road most days as there are no 'direct' routes to anywhere! Excellent scenery and beautiful landscapes close by with some interesting heritage artefacts and standing stones. No real beaches to speak of nearby (our dog loves the beaches but these were limited). Would have liked to have maybe got to Mull or Skye but it was really just a bit too far for a day trip there. Still enough nearby to fill a week. The jacuzzi was a lovely way to spend the twilight hours (even in the rain) relaxing after a days walking and with a clear sky, the inky black depths of space show up the Milky Way and any passing shooting stars fabulously. We counted about 8 in an hour one night.

I cannot thank Falcon enough for how welcoming he was with my partner and I, he showed us around and left us to it and we had the most amazing time. I cannot wait to get back

The lodge itself was perfect. In a great location, so relaxing. As pet owners the only fault for us was the garden was not enclosed, so we had to keep our two inquisitive Westies on a lead all the time, but that won't stop us going back.

Although not a large cabin it was perfectly adequate for both of us and two small dogs. Comfortably furnished and well equipped. Quiet and private too. The hot tub and sauna are a great addition.

Fabulous lodge!! Great hot tub and sauna, great surroundings. Everything you need is already in the lodge, firewood is provided and if you need more all you have to do is pop over and ask and you will be provided with more. Would 100% stay here again.

Fun Days Out near Loch Shuna Lodges

Inveraray Jail - about 18 Miles

This living museum portrays the harsh life inside of a 19th century prison. Travel back in history on a darkly fascinating journey into life in a Victorian prison. In a time when petty theft could have you branded with a hot iron! Watch courtroom trials, talk to the prisoners and see what it was like being locked up in jail. You can also take the ghost tour. Live actors bring the setting to life.

This family friendly attraction offers a great day out near the gorgeous setting of Loch Creran. Featuring a fascinating aquarium and Scotlands largest seal hospital. Explore over 50 marine displays including sharks, rays and sea horses. See if you can spot any rare red squirrels on the nature trail and let the kids loose in the Forest Advenure play area. The Shoreline Coffee Shop offers stunning views of Lock Creran.
