Wildside Highland Lodges

Scotland » Inverness Shire » Inverness » Whitebridge

We think you'll love these fantastic luxurious lodges; they are beautifully furnished and set in idyllic woodland on the banks of the River Fechlin, at the heart of the Highlands. The views are simply breathtaking - there are stunning mountains, sparkling lochs and dark forests to explore on the South Loch Ness Trail, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fort Augustus and Inverness are within easy driving distance and there is a wealth of facilities to enjoy.

Wildside Highland Lodges are close to a local country hotel that serves food and takeaway pizzas, plus there is the option of having gourmet food delivered to your lodge and even hiring your own exclusive chef if you're celebrating a special occasion. There are outdoor games like giant Jenga and draughts, a good outdoor adventure play area, free DVD hire and free fishing.

All the lodges here represent the height of luxury but we particularly like Tomatin Lodge. It's extremely spacious with a master double and one single room and has an open plan living area with kitchen and diner. You can make the most of all weathers with a wood burning stove for the chilly nights and your own private hot tub with amazing views of the River Fechlin and the surrounding mountains for the warmer evenings.

The South Loch Ness Trail takes in seven lochs and stretches for 28 miles between Loch Tarff to Troutbeck with several viewpoints where you can take in the magical Loch Ness. Urquhart Castle in Drumnadrochit is a historical ruin that overlooks Loch Ness and is embedded in local folklore and legend.

Our Top Tip
"No visit to Scotland would be complete with a visit to a distillery and at Tomatin, you can take a tour of one of the highest distilleries in the country, at 315 metres above sea level."

Wonderful place for peace and quiet, beautiful Lodges. Could not get better or more helpful staff anywhere. Next year will be out 3rd year and I'am already looking forward to it.!

Our Tomatin lodge "Red Deer" was very private, overlooking the mountains and right beside a river. It is very comfortable and cosy and the bedroom is quite spacious. It had everything we needed, including a great hot tub.

Beautiful lodge, loved the decor. Home away from home

Accommodation type: Wildcat Lodge
My only criticism would be that in Wildcat Lodge there were no accessible sockets not even by the dressing table in the master bedroom. This caused problems when drying hair etc. Had to go out and buy an extension lead. This would not stop us returning though.

Beautiful, spacious, immaculate lodge. The only thing I found a little off putting were the notes and notices everywhere about keeping it all clean. It didn't feel very welcoming but I suppose some people take the mick. The people in reception weren't as scary as the notes!

Very clean and comfortable lodge. Bed was extremely comfy and had big thick duvets and extra blankets in case it got cold! Hot tub very good and supremely relaxing. Only criticism was that the tub chairs in the lounge were a little tired and could do with being replaced.

Fantastic lodge. Only recommend is the beds in both rooms upstairs gets switched as the ceiling is very low to get round a double bed.
Had a fantastic time . The Eagle lodge was very clean when we arrived . We loved the facilities, location, decoration and of course the wild life was on your door step and the hot tub and the log fire ( could not get enough of it) Would happily recommend the place, loved every single day there. Great place fantastic friendly staff lodge was nice and hot tub was brilliant definitely coming back again
We had a lovely time at wildside highland lodges they are immaculate and contain almost anything you could need. In fact it would've been good to know what was provided as if I'd known there was a washing machine in the lodge I could've left half our stuff at home!
Beautiful , clean, up to date lodge .
This was a lovely cabin with everything we needed and the girl who checked us in gave us a great welcome and explained everything clearly. The hot tub was amazing and it’s a beautiful area to explore. The only issue we had is that the heating took a while to warm up so a bit chilly in the morning but the log burner was great.
2nd visit but different cabin. Lovely place, lovely cabins.
This is our second visit and love the place. Such a gorgeous area and hi spec/ well maintained cabins.
Absolutely AMAZING place, set in the perfect location to explore Northern Scotland :D Hot tub was a complete luxury and everything was so clean and to such a high standard Booking our return trip already!
