We think you'll love these fantastic luxurious lodges; they are beautifully furnished and set in idyllic woodland on the banks of the River Fechlin, at the heart of the Highlands. The views are simply breathtaking - there are stunning mountains, sparkling lochs and dark forests to explore on the South Loch Ness Trail, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fort Augustus and Inverness are within easy driving distance and there is a wealth of facilities to enjoy.

Wildside Highland Lodges are close to a local country hotel that serves food and takeaway pizzas, plus there is the option of having gourmet food delivered to your lodge and even hiring your own exclusive chef if you're celebrating a special occasion. There are outdoor games like giant Jenga and draughts, a good outdoor adventure play area, free DVD hire and free fishing.

All the lodges here represent the height of luxury but we particularly like Tomatin Lodge. It's extremely spacious with a master double and one single room and has an open plan living area with kitchen and diner. You can make the most of all weathers with a wood burning stove for the chilly nights and your own private hot tub with amazing views of the River Fechlin and the surrounding mountains for the warmer evenings.

The South Loch Ness Trail takes in seven lochs and stretches for 28 miles between Loch Tarff to Troutbeck with several viewpoints where you can take in the magical Loch Ness. Urquhart Castle in Drumnadrochit is a historical ruin that overlooks Loch Ness and is embedded in local folklore and legend.

Our Top Tip
"No visit to Scotland would be complete with a visit to a distillery and at Tomatin, you can take a tour of one of the highest distilleries in the country, at 315 metres above sea level."

If it wasn't so far we would come several times a year all for the quietness and wild life
Fabulous lodge & hot tub. Very clean. So comfortable. Can't wait to go back.
This was our second stay. Hot tub is amazing! Location is great with dog friendly pub 2 minute walk away. Lots of great trails for bikes or on foot for a leisurely stroll or something more challenging. Great place for lunch called Cameron's tea room not far from the lodge. Very friendly staff and it's very dog friendly. Will be back again soon! Would recommend doing a Tesco shop before you arrive as there's no way to place an order once your there.
Loved the site and the staff couldn't have been better. It's the cleanest accommodation I've even gone to and it has everything you could possibly need.
Amazing week with my boyfriend. Highly recommend if you want somewhere peaceful and away from the world! Hot tub was a massive perk in the snow!
Absaloutely loved our time away. The lodge was beautiful and fully equipped with everything you could need. This was our second time here and we cannot wait to go back again. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Nice and friendly staff, had a very relaxing stay
Had an amazing holiday up north with husband and mum and dad, bought it as their xmas present this year, all said, best present yet. Lodge was clean, comfortable, the surrounding scenery, just wow. Couldnt fault it, and cant wait to come back. Planning our next trip already. Highlights definitely include the wood burning stove, outdoor hot tub & climbing up the big hill out the back. Lovely. We had the best time ever. Lots of lovely memories made.
2 adults 4 kids stayed at dalwhinnie premier lodge for 5 days. Could not fault the staff very helpful and lodge was stunning! Very remote nearest supermarket 20-30mins in car but we did an online shop and it was delivered the day we arrived and the staff had already put our shopping away which was great! Small hotel/pub 5 min walk up the hill was great for a quiet drink and meal was very nice. Only thing that I would say is apart from small play area not alot for kids onsite. Plus was not impressed with our power being shut off 2 nights right at dinnertime each of the nights. They were fixing a fuse why this couldnt have been done during the day in the light I dont know. But overall a fantastic place to relax and unwind.
Lovely small holiday park, majority of the lodges very private. Hot tub fabulous especially in the snow! Lodge clean and warm, welcome pack much appreciated especially the dog treats!
What can I say . . . . . . . . Paradise in the mountains. Loved this holiday. From the moment we arrived we did not want for anything. Heaven
