We think you'll love these fantastic luxurious lodges; they are beautifully furnished and set in idyllic woodland on the banks of the River Fechlin, at the heart of the Highlands. The views are simply breathtaking - there are stunning mountains, sparkling lochs and dark forests to explore on the South Loch Ness Trail, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fort Augustus and Inverness are within easy driving distance and there is a wealth of facilities to enjoy.

Wildside Highland Lodges are close to a local country hotel that serves food and takeaway pizzas, plus there is the option of having gourmet food delivered to your lodge and even hiring your own exclusive chef if you're celebrating a special occasion. There are outdoor games like giant Jenga and draughts, a good outdoor adventure play area, free DVD hire and free fishing.

All the lodges here represent the height of luxury but we particularly like Tomatin Lodge. It's extremely spacious with a master double and one single room and has an open plan living area with kitchen and diner. You can make the most of all weathers with a wood burning stove for the chilly nights and your own private hot tub with amazing views of the River Fechlin and the surrounding mountains for the warmer evenings.

The South Loch Ness Trail takes in seven lochs and stretches for 28 miles between Loch Tarff to Troutbeck with several viewpoints where you can take in the magical Loch Ness. Urquhart Castle in Drumnadrochit is a historical ruin that overlooks Loch Ness and is embedded in local folklore and legend.

Our Top Tip
"No visit to Scotland would be complete with a visit to a distillery and at Tomatin, you can take a tour of one of the highest distilleries in the country, at 315 metres above sea level."

We went to Wild side highland lodges Jan 19th - Jan 22nd 2018. After battling through heavy snow we got there and was greeted by the staff. They helped us get sorted and settled in, explaining local walks and information etc. There even help get the car out once or twice haha! We had to abandon a couple of the walks in the Sunday as the snow and wind were too servear. Hoping to get in the auntuum, if not definitely next year!

Everything was absolutely fantastic great help when’s we arrived only thing was as it being a group of girls the only thing we were disappointed with was the Wi-fi situation as we were advised we would have Wi-fi but we had to leave our lodge and it was -16 one night and we had to go to the Wi-fi bench to get anything to even make a phone call which was a bit disappointing overall really good tho.
Tracey
We wanted a quiet break with the family 2 boys 3yr old n 8 month these lodges were perfect they were very clean had everything u could need in them, staff were friendly. When we went we had a shed load of snow more than they had seen for a few years they said and that made our time away amazing the older boy luved it the staff were helpful clearing paths to your lodges digging n pushing any cars that where stuck. We wouldn't hesitate to book again it a pity you can't book the snow to.
Sarah
superb venue, quiet, peaceful, clean, spacious. Friendly staff, great location.
Rebecca
