We just love these luxury lodges, located 3 miles from the seaside resort of Scarborough.  Modern and stylish interiors give you all the luxuries of home but with a lovely rural setting giving an away from it all feel.  You really do have the best of both worlds.

Choose to relax in the beautiful surroundings of the park or perhaps explore the glorious North York Moors national Park.  There are some fantastic walks and wildlife to see right on the doorstep.  If you want somewhere more lively then head into Scarborough for traditional seaside fun and of course fish and chips.

There are many local attractions too in Filey and Whitby to name just a few popular areas close by.  For a fun family day out we love the Sea Life Sanctuary in Scarborough where you can see hundreds of reef fish, alongside turtles and even tropical sharks.  Flamingo Land theme park is also within easy driving distance of the lodges.

Accommodation on the park is a choice of 2 bedroom holiday homes or 3 bedroom lodges.  All come with the added bonus of an outdoor hot tub.  The Superior Lodge 2 is a good choice with a contemporary interior, one double and one twin bedroom and outdoor hot tub.  This lodge sleeps up to 6.

Accommodation was modern and spotlessly clean. Although we booked it as a Deluxe 2 we appreciated the added benefit of a newly installed hot tub.

This review is for a lodge as we were actually upgraded to a lodge as the Classic 2 had electrical problems. Obviously, the lodge was lovely so we were extremely happy with the space and facilities. The hot tub was very small but lovely to sit and relax after a long day out.

everything about property explained to us by a very friendly and informative person. when we arrived very cold weather but property lovely and warm heating had been put on for our arrival even with the unexpected arrival of heavy snow the accomodation was cosy and snug and warm. No problems of any kind would recomend it to anyone.

Denise
Really enjoyed the weekend but we all had to leave on the Sunday due to work commitments. The lodge was ideal for 6 adults and 2 children. We were a little unsure of where our was when we arrived on site Friday about 6pm but we asked a guy on site and he advised us we were in no:47.

We booked a lodge with a hot tub for my sister's 40th birthday. The lodge was beautiful however there is no where to check in and no amenities on site. There is a mini Tesco's less than five minutes drive. Beautiful setting.

Fun Days Out near Applegrove Country Park

If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost 46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.
Located in Harwood Dale Village, North Yorkshire we think this attraction makes a superb family day out and couples will also enjoy the nature walks in the area.  There are 6 nature walks in total surrounding the farm so walkers and lovers of the outdoors will be in their element. Some of our favourite walks include the Spring Flowers, Pond and Village walk which takes around 35 minutes, and the Meadow and Trees walk which takes one hour.
Located in the Scalby Mills area of Scarborough this makes a fun family day out for those who are interested in marine life. The fantastic ocean tank is well worth seeing - it's been transformed into a Turtle Reef and you can see an amazing array of colourful reef fish and coral. You may also catch a glimpse of the tropical sharks and turtles. Offering good value for money this is a day out with a difference and an all weather attraction.
Peasholm Park - about 3 Miles
This attraction is ideal for sunny days as the beautiful park is ideal for wandering out and taking in the scenery.  You can hire boats including rowing boats and canoes to enjoy the views from the water.  The pedalos with the dragon heads are always a popular choice too. Look out for special events including the Battle of Peasholm Park Naval Battle which has been described as a "must see".  You can also take a ride on the North Bay Railway which will delight children.
