"We were supposed to stay at golden gate in the silver standard caravan but due to whoever was in the caravan before us trashing it we got upgraded to a platinum caravan free of charge at thier sister site white house just next door we were able to use both the facilities at white house and golden gate including the swimming pool in golden gate we didnt have any issues and all the staff were friendly and helpful"

"We stayed here for a week and enjoyed every minute, unfortunately due to lockdown the club wasnt open so cant comment on the club. The caravan was very clean & the mattresses were like ones you have in your house! Not the cheap budget ones you normally get in a caravan where you come home with bruised legs from springs, alcohol was very reasonable priced, good location for visiting many places"

"It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. "Such a lovely place to stay in a really beautiful, private location. The owners were really friendly and helpful, nearby if needed but without breaking that sense of privacy. The hot tub was perfect after a day of cycling! One thing to be aware of, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, and so there's a lot of aircraft noise. It only took us a couple of hours to get used to it and it didn't spoil our holiday at all, but something to be aware of if you're sensitive to noise. "

"The lovely cottage is situated on a working farm, but is very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are delightful. The cottage is very spacious with good equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom. The bed is really comfortable. The garden is secluded; dog proof and with good furniture. There are numerous walks around. Thaxted has good restaurants. We liked The Star and The Maypole. The Swan and the Indian are not bad either. We thoroughly recommend this place. "

The accommodation had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and secure for our dog Archie. The location was ideal too with plenty of walks to find and Thaxted and surrounding villages are lovely places to visit. Out of all of the Go Ape! courses the one in Cheshire is the most spread out and it takes staff ten minutes to patrol the site on bike - which gives a good indication of the size of this place. If you're looking for an adventurous and memorable day out then Go Ape is highly recommended. Trek through the treetops, swing between the trees and enjoy zip wire rides all as part of your experience. This attraction opens every day from the end of March to end October and is open on weekends in November. Go Ape Cheshire is closed every Tuesday except school holidays.
