If walking and cycling are your thing, then this area is for you. The coastal path at Pevensey will take you past Pevensey Castle to Bexhill and then back again via Herstmonceux Castle and Observatory. The Cuckoo Trail at Eastbourne is perfect for families because it rarely crosses a main road.

Nordon Lodge Plus is a stunning lodge that sleeps up to four people with a double and a twin bedroom. It has a spacious, open plan living/dining area and patio doors that lead to decking and an outdoor hot tub. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with a dishwasher and washer/dryer.

A visit to the Hungry Monk in Polegate won't disappoint - it's a charming restaurant and renowned for its food which is a fusion of traditional and contemporary.

We had a fantastic time and did not want it to end. The accommodation was warm, clean, comfortable and quiet, just what we wanted for a relaxing break away. We found the location ideal as a base to visit the surrounding areas. We would certainly come again.
