Belan Bach Lodges afford panoramic views over the Banwy Valley from their peaceful setting above the small village of Llangadfan. The lodges are beautifully appointed and have elevated balconies to make the most of the stunning scenery. We recommend these lodges to couples and families looking for a relaxing retreat.

The park has a tranquil, rural setting yet is not too isolated as a village pub and shop can be found within 2 miles. Further afield the Lake Vyrnwy with its RSPB centre and watersports is just 6 miles away. Popular attractions in the region include Welshpool, Powis Castle, King Arthur's Labyrinth and the renowned Centre for Alternative Technology with its unique water-powered railway. Families looking for seaside attractions should head to Barmouth and Aberdyfi which are both less than an hour away.

The Accommodation at Belan Bach is spacious and well equipped. There are five types of lodge to choose from, all with private outdoor hot tubs. The Banwy Lodge has two bedrooms as is a timber clad holiday home with leather sofa and outside patio with furniture. The Dyfnant Lodge is larger and sleeps up to 6 people in three bedrooms. It also has a decking area with furniture and hot tub. The Derwen Lodges were new to the site in 2007 and offer luxurious accommodation. These stylish lodges have three bedrooms and an outside decking area with private hot tub.

Had a fantastic few days and nights staying in Celyn 1 at Belan Bach Lodges. A very quiet site overlooking the Welsh valleys of Llangadfan. As per instructions on our booking confirmation, when we arrived we found keys in the door of the lodge, hot tub bubbling away, all beds made up and the central heating on for a nice warm lodge. Around half hour after we arrived the owner of the site popped in to check that we had everything we needed and to answer any questions, he was very welcoming. Beds were great. Shower was fantastic - heated floor tiles were a nice surprise!

Ample activities around, we headed over to Lake Vyrnwry which wasn't too far and provided a full day of walking. The Lake View Tea Room at Lake Vyrnwy is not to be missed. Two freshly cooked large lasagnes and four cold drinks was under 20.00, eaten whilst admiring the stunning views of the lake.

The Rainbow Trails are a couple minutes walk up the road from the site, with hundreds of miles of walks with great views. Fantastic for the pup!

I read all of the reviews of the site before booking and was slightly worried when I saw we had "Celyn 1" after the horrid review that was given. The other review is by no means a true reflection of the cabin, the owner or the site.

10/10 Would stay again!

I would recommend this holiday as it's very tranquil, beautiful scenery and lovely places to go and see. The management are very helpful at all times even when you forget the gravy for a Sunday roast.
Miss M
Excellent scenic area, perfect for a peace and quiet trip. Good location for tourist attractions.
Mrs S
It was a really relaxing holiday and perfect couple's getaway - our first without kids in seven years. It looks just like the pictures on website. There are just the six lodges set in the hills with outstanding views. Hot tub is fab we even used it when it was -2 outside. We are planning to make it our yearly trip on our own and will be recommending it to everyone. It really couldn't have been any better.
Miss R

Fun Days Out in Powys

Locally renowned for the Sheep Steeple chasing and daily goat races this is a really unique family attraction that the kids will love.  You can really get hands on with the farm animals with the animal handling sessions and you can have a go at teaching the parrots to talk!  The crazy craft cabin will keep even the most creative entertained with pottery and painting amongst other things. When you are in need of a rest head for the The Hungry Shepherd Tea Room where you can enjoy a bite to eat and children can burn even more energy in the indoor play area.
Cantref Adventure Farm offers hours of indoor and outdoor fun for the whole family. Inside there is a huge soft play area with a separate area for toddlers as well as ball pools, climbing frames, slides and chutes. The Cannon balls are a big hit with children of all ages. New for 2010 is the Badgers quest interactive maze. Outside there is a play area, large boating lake with paddle boats, nature trails with clues and quizzes and an agility course. At only £29.00 for a family of 4 the park offers outstanding value for money.
This National Trust site is one of the finest in Wales. The stunning castle was once a medieval fortress and has been remodelled several times over the last 400 years. The Great Hall is home to some amazing collections of paintings as well as sculptures and tapestries. The gardens are world famous with stunning areas of French and Italian style as well as a gorgeous orangery. Children's activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and on special occasions such as Halloween and Christmas.
