Lode Hall Lodges are both pretty and elegant, located in a stunning setting in the grounds of a Georgian Country House.  The interiors are well designed and suitably stylish and of course each lodge comes with the added luxury of a private outdoor hot tub.

One of the unique aspects of Lode Hall Lodges are that they are adult only lodges and so provide a real haven of peace and tranquility.

For lovely days out head to Downham Market which is just 6 miles away.  Here you will find charming shops and a selection of pubs and eateries.  There are plenty of other beautiful villages close by too as well as nature reserves and outdoor activities.

Choose from a range of lodges including the Angelica Lodge which is perfect for couples.  The Lavender Lodge is another lovely option which sleeps 4.  All of the lodges have spacious open plan living areas and outside patio areas with personal hot tubs.

Our Top Tip
"The Butterfly and Wildlife Park in Spalding is a beautiful place to visit and see the lush tropical gardens as well as the Birds of Prey demonstrations."

We stayed in an Angelica lodge. It was an exceptionally good experience. Large Bedroom and large living area. Very comfortable bed, all appliances worked well. There was a very nice welcome pack of essentials left for us on arrival. The owners welcomed us and briefed us on the lodge facilities when we arrived.
The park is isolated but this is what we wanted - a quiet retreat but a good base to visit from.
We have stayed in many lodges in the last few years but this is by far the best. The hot tub was very good and covered by a verandah - excellent.

The lodge has everything you could need, hot tub, robes, bath, shower. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and comes with tassimo coffee machine - it's even got a Bluetooth sound bar - the owners have thought of every last minute detail. The time and effort the owners have put in, really comes across, Perfect for couples

The owners were lovely, very thoughtful leaving us a welcome hamper and also a file with everything we needed, nothing was to much trouble for them. The lodge was beautiful and finished to a very high standard, the site was very clean and tidy. The only issue we had was we didn't want to leave! Would highly recommend and would go back in the future.

The lodge was fantastic, spacious and comfortable for two people. If there was slightly more space for storing clothes and suitcases it would be perfect.

There needs to be more plates, cutlery etc so you can wait for the dishwasher to be full before using. Only 4 place settings. Some champagne flutes would be a welcome addition.
Otherwise very well equiped, lovely owners, quiet site.
Tracy

This is a museum with a difference and a must see if you are into horse racing.  You can take guided tours around the museum or choose to wander round yourself admiring the exhibits.  New for 2010 is a Junior Fun Tour which is ideal for children.  Simply ask the gallery staff for a Fun Tour pack when you enter the museum and kids can answer questions and spot clues and tips on the way round.  One of the most popular recent exhibitions is the Thoroughbred: State of the Art exhibition in Gallery 5 on until 31st October.  Check out their websites for the latest exhibitions.
