The Premium caravans with hot tubs are the top end option at The Lakes Rookley, newly installed on-site in 2018. These caravans feature a well-equipped kitchen with hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and a breakfast bar with storage dividing it from the open plan living/dining room. Freestanding furniture, opposite the feature fireplace and HD TV. Fully equipped kitchen with microwave. Double glazed and central heating. At one end of the living room, the glazed front door leads to a private driveway and screened off outdoor hot tub via a small set of steps, while at the other end, large outlook doors open onto your own decked balcony. At the rear of the property are three bedrooms; the modern and luxurious master bedroom has an en-suite WC. The two twin bedrooms have standard caravan single beds, which are perfect for children and teenagers, with a modern family shower room along the hallway. These caravans are ideal for large family holidays and group trips on the beautiful Isle of Wight. Decking or patio, outdoor furniture, bath and hand towels. *Please note, your hot tub may not be situated on your decking area and may be located off your decking beside your accommodation.

"The cottage was lovely but there were things that were not provided that would have made it better. No oven gloves, no kitchen scissors, only five of each plate, bowl etc which isn't helpful when cooking for 5 people as you need extras. There were cobwebs all over the outside of the building/garden some of which we had to move they could have easily have been moved with the hose that they use to fill the hot tub prior to our arrival. Still loved the place and have booked for next year."

I would have like the option for Adults only later night swimming but all family we met where very nice. Only issues we found was if we went put all day we struggled to park by our van. "Our Lakehouse was in a perfect location and contained everything you needed. Maintenance team were extremely helpful on Sunday we stopped 2 gentlemen in their cart to ask about our folding doors sticking, they followed us home and fixed the problem instantly. Fantastic service. The only downside we tried to use the on-site restaurant twice once for breakfast and once evening meal both times it was not open young lady behind bar was very vague about if or when it would actually be open so we didn’t bother again."

Robin Hill Country Adventure Park - PO30 2NU

This is an award winning attraction on the isle of wight with so much to see and do. From thrilling rides for the whole family to challenging play for younger kids they have thought of everything. One of the highlights is the Falconry where you can see some of the most breathtaking displays in the UK. You can also get a taste of nature and history here from red squirrels to romans. The great value freedon tickets are well worth the money allowing you to return to the park as often as you like for 7 days.

Robin Hill Adventure Park and Gardens is an award willing attraction offering an amazing experience which includes thrilling rides, exciting shows and animal experiences. The park also offers excellent value as one ticked gets visitors in to 2 parks and you can come back as many times as you wish within 7 days. Rides include the family friendly Toboggan Run and Colossus Swinging Galleon but one of the parks most popular attractions is the Falconry where visitors can enjoy some of the finest flying displays in the UK. The park also has a fantastic nature area where Red squirrel safaris are just one of the attractions.

Play & Farm Park - PO31 8PE

Described as the Isle of Wight's multi activity and play Farm park this attraction will really appeal to families looking for a fun day out. Recently improvements have been made to enlarge the straw fun play barn and this is now the biggest indoor play space on the island. This farm is now split into separate attractions, the play barns and petting farm which include rides on tractors and trailors and the tractor driving experience. Open all year this place is also excellent value for money.

The Isle of Wight Zoo - PO36 0LT

The Isle of Wight Zoo a firm favourite with holiday makers on The Isle Of Wight. The Zoo aims to offer visitors a fun and educational experience with a more hands on approach than many other zoos. The onsite educational team are always on hand to help visitors get as much from their visit as possible. Playful Monkeys, adorable Lemurs and White Tigers are just some of the animal which can be seen. Younger children will also love the Zoolittle Farm area where they can meet some of the zoos more affectionate residents and even get to hold them. At only £26.00 for a family of 4 the Zoo is excellent value for money too.

Appley Park is a great place for families with young children to spend the day and is especially popular during the summer months. Within the park is a playground with pirate ship, a selection of slides and swings and a pathway leading down to a lovely sandy beach. The nearby seafront also has many attractions including a paddling pool and a 9 hole Pitch and Putt course as well as a water play area.

Blue Reef Aquarium - NE30 4JF

Blue Reef Aquarium is an award winning attraction which takes visitors on an under water journey through the British Isles, the Mediterranean to a stunning Coral Reef. The centre has over 40 different displays with everything from Sharks to Stingrays there to see. A walk through the amazing underwater tunnel is the real highlight with hundreds of colourful fish to spot. Fort Victoria is many attractions in one convenient location. What once was a historically important fort is now home to a Marine Aquarium, a Model Railway, a Sea Bed Archaeology Exhibition and a Planetarium. The Country Park also offers delightful woodland walks. Countryside Rangers are on hand to give guided walks of the seashore and the woodland. Admission to the park is free of charge but each of the attractions incur a small charge.

Royal Victoria Country Park is highly recommended for a day out in the summer and has lots of things for children to do. There are woodland trails to explore with free maps and guides available. There are also several play areas, one for older children, one for the little ones and one for disabled children so no one is left out of the fun. Within the grounds there is also a heritage site, a tea room and a formal garden.

Go Ape in Hampshire offers a unique opportunity for energetic adults and children over 10 to let off steam.
