Nestled away in the heart of East Devon countryside are the Lakeview Manor lodges, where guests will find a warm welcome with on-site facilities and luxurious lodges aplenty! Set within forty-five acres of country manor house and hotel land in Dunkeswell, there's plenty of beautiful views to enjoy, whist the historic market town of Honiton is just a five-minute drive away. So, get the family together and see what a gorgeous retreat in Devon can offer you and your loved ones! Keen fishermen and aspiring anglers will love to make use of the two well- stocked fishing lakes on-site, perfect for getting some practice in on holiday (or teaching the others a fishing trick or two!), but if you don't manage to get a catch, the on-site restaurant and bar are really handy to have nearby. Whist the kitchens within each respective lodge are contemporary and beautiful decorated, we all have our moments on holiday where we'd rather not get out all the pots and pans, and just simply let someone else do the work for us, so it’s worth having a look at the menu! Enjoy lunch or dinner overlooking the lake and gardens before heading back to your lodge for some after-dinner drinks.

Aside from the kitchens (located within a large open plan dining and living area) the lodges within Lakeview Manor have plenty more to offer inside and out. Families and groups will appreciate the space offered by the Lakeview lodge, which sleeps up to four people over two bedrooms. Admire the lake views from the comfort of your own private veranda, complete with furniture and sunken outdoor hot tub! With two pets allowed, it’s perfect for those wanting to bring everyone along.

The Waterside lodge is equally ideal, accommodating up to four guests over two bedrooms. Like the Waterside lodge, there's still plenty of room for everyone in the open plan kitchen, diner and living area, as well as veranda with sunken hot tub to wind down in. And with one pet allowed free of charge at the Waterside Lodge too, what’s not to love!

Whoever, you might be travelling with – whether younger family members or simply a group of old friends, Wildwood is a great day out for anyone young at heart, and is just a twenty to thirty minute drive away. This network of woodland trails is home to a wide variety of British animals and wildlife, such as wolves, lynx, and wildcats. Loose yourself in the huge maze before letting the kids blow off steam in the play area... Or take a ride down the long 40-meter zip wire if they're feeling courageous! Top the day all with a slice of cake in the coach House café before returning to Lakeview Manor.

Car enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a day out with a difference will love an adventure out at the Land Rover Experience in nearby Honiton, where guests have the chance to test their skills over the 35-acre off-road course. Dedicated drivers might like to book a heritage drive to experience four different vehicles from the last seventy years of Land Rover’s history. Or if the budding driver of your family is still a little too young to get their license, book a young off-roader day, where 11–17-year-olds can take the wheel and take a trip around the agility course before tackling steep slopes, deep water driving and plenty more! Everyone is sure to have something to talk about when they get home.

Lakeview Manor Lodges Reviews

"Really comfy and cosy lodge! Everything spotlessly Clean! The floor was a little creaky but other than that all was perfect! Milk in the fridge for when we arrived with tea/coffee. Even a little treat and tennis ball for our dog! We was given tea towels to use, sponges and a few dishwasher tablets! Everything was easy to use within the lodge and the heating system worked well, warmed up nicely on the colder days. Beds were soo comfortable!"
Chantelle - Apr 2024
"The lodge is well equipped and clean. The hot tub was glorious and we were determined to take full advantage of the hot tub, so we used it whilst it rained (which it did most of the weekend). For those of you who are not comfortable driving on a single track, there are actually two ways you can get to LakeView. If you take the route that does not pass behind Highfield, you will be on the single track for a shorter distance. If you look on a map you will see what I mean."
Verified Guest - Apr 2024
"Fabulous, clean and hygienic lodge, with all mod cons and appliances. Lovely food and great service in the spacious bar/restaurant. Fantastic hot tub which we all loved. Really dog friendly site, and perfect for a quiet break. Great location for exploring South Devon. Would definitely recommend."
Lee Warren - Apr 2024
"Spectacular accommodation with everything you could need. Extremely comfortable beds and lots of extras. The washer/dryer and robes are a nice surprise as is the doggie welcome bags. Great site and dog walking/running field at the back of the park is perfect to let your dogs safely run around. Hot tub was so nice and robe hooks outside are very convenient. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely hot/cold doggie shower is a bonus. Quaint little pub and hotel on site. Great area surrounding the site and everything you need in a base to explore the beautiful surrounding areas."

"Everything was spot on, lovely lodge, quite and peaceful, thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be returning."
Verified Guest - Dec 2023
"Stacey is wonderful as are all other staff but sadly the chef ruined our stay with his rudeness, he ignored me at the carvery while chatting to local diner, then reprimanded me for not pre ordering my nutroast, he then refused me more gravy after giving me a tiny amount for my nut roast already on plate so i had a dry dinner, embarrassing me in front of other diners. When our tv and wifi went down that evening and we had to wait in the following day, it just really set our break off to a really bad start, the wifi is not great and there is no reception to use your own data or phone so tv buffers a lot but Stacy was lovely, she was totally on the ball in trying to rectify the issues, she offered us an extra night and a meal. We took the extra night as we had wasted one waiting in but sadly not the meal as when we went to the restaurant for a quick drink and to book the meal, the chef was in the bar and was making it obvious he knew we had complained and didnt attempt to welcome us, it felt very awkard, he was very cheerful to others so his attitude is definitely selected and i am not the first to complain of his behaviour. The site is lovely, the lodge is amazing and all other staff are absolutely brilliant. Just the chefs attitude ruined it for us sadly. We would stay again and just avoid the pub/restaurant."
Natalie - Dec 2023
"Second time for us as a family, lodge accommodation was perfect with hot tub and for being dog friendly. Excellent location . Dabbling Duck Restaurant is a must excellent food and all the staff from reception , restaurant are very friendly and helpful."

"Spotlessly clean accommodation had everything we needed"
Sharon - Nov 2023
"Lodge was fantastic, very spacious and clean. Beautiful site with a little pub. Only negatives were the Hot Tub felt a little cold (staff were quick to check and assured us it was at the highest setting) and I had emailed a few weeks before our arrival to arrange something for my husband's birthday (banners & a card) and this wasn't done. We have however booked to visit again next year."
Michelle - Nov 2023
"Lodge superb - only complaint was the age/condition of some cooking items."

Neil - Jul 2022
"We had a wonderful time in our honeymoon. Beautiful lodges and surroundings. Will definitely be returning."
Kiearnie - Jul 2022
"Just had a 5 day break here, which was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We had no pets but a 3.5 year old, who settled really quickly and loved her room. The staff were so helpful, especially Sarah, who my daughter is still asking to see again. We wanted a quiet break, so no phone signal was perfect, good (secure) wifi if required and the Dabbling Duck was a god send after a full day The cabin was fully stocked with everything you need and was extremely clean, with loads of storage space. We will be back Paul"
Paul - Jul 2022
"The most luxurious lodge we have ever stayed. Five stars."
Verified Guest - Jul 2022
"Probably one of the best accommodations I have ever stayed in. The lodge was so beautiful - every little thing was catered for - even down to a torch for those late night walks to the great bar and restaurant. We stayed in a Brook View lodge - not so much a view as a sound - but very relaxing and secluded. The hot tub was amazing - and fluffy robes were provided too. I could have easily stayed for a month!"
Nicola - Jul 2022
"Excellent location with a gorgeous lodge which was clean and spacious only thing missing was a TV in the bedroom and hooks on the back of doors (could use the sticky hooks)"
Gaynor - Jul 2022
"Beautiful and quiet… staff was lovely"
Louisa - Jul 2022
"Very relaxing and great setting, bar, and staff. The only downside for us was the late check-in and early check-out times, as this effectively cuts an entire day off the holiday. We appreciate that the hot tub etc. requires maintenance, but a more typical 3pm check-in and 10/11am check-out would be much more convenient."
Phil - Jul 2022
"Amazing Beautiful Lodge with Gorgeous Surroundings"

Barbara - Jun 2022
"The lodges are set in beautiful surroundings and the lodges themselves are modern with everything you’d need to make you feel right at home. Me and my wife will be definitely coming back"
Lewis - Jun 2022
"Beautiful setting, very peaceful. Lodge was comfortable and well stocked kitchen, lots of crockery and backing trays bit like being at home. Only thing is you need to drive as 25 minutes away from Honiton and 30 minutes to Sidmouth"
