About Stowford Village

In the heart of the North Devon countryside and set amongst 500 acres of mature woodland you’ll find the stunning Stowford Village. This amazing location offers fabulous views and is within only 15 minutes of the Exmoor national Park, full of open moorland, deep river valleys and wooded gorges to explore. Stowford Village has its own excellent range of facilities which includes an indoor swimming pool, entertainment, bars and restaurants, children’s play areas, mini golf and an onsite cafe which will open in March. The area itself has many places of interest and family attractions nearby, these include Lynmouth which is a must and will provide you with some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the country. If you like beaches then look no further than Woolacombe, less than 20 minutes away and a regular winner of the Blue Flag and Premier Awards for beach safety and cleanliness. Stowford Village offers something for everyone and will leave you full of long lasting happy memories.

This luxurious and delightful three bedroom cottage sleeps 6 guests and is furnished to the highest standard. The first floor provides three bedrooms, all with a flat screen TV. There are Two king sized bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower and WC. There is also a twin bedroom with single beds. The family bathroom has a shower over bath, separate shower and WC. On the ground floor you’ll be able to relax in the open plan living area with comfortable sofa’s, a large smart TV, Blu ray and Bluetooth Sound Bar, all perfect to sit an enjoy a movie whilst being kept lovely and warm via the amazing wood burner. The Kitchen area is fully equipped and has everything required to entertain the family with a lovely meal. From the living room there are french doors that lead out to the patio area, hear you’ll be greeted with garden furniture, seating and your very own bubbling private hot tub. Designated off-road parking for three cars is provided.

This large family friendly Cottage is ideal for those looking for a contemporary country style break. Sleeping up to 8 guests on the first floor you have two king sized bedrooms both with en-suite shower and WC and Two twin bedrooms. All bedrooms have a flat screen TV. On the ground floor you will find a spacious hallway which firstly leads to the living area, here you will be able to chill out and watch a movie on the large smart screen TV whilst sitting comfortably on one of the large sofas within the lounge. Here you also have Blu-ray, a Bluetooth Sound bar and a wonderful wood burning fire. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything required to rustle up some snacks or create an amazing family meal. The french doors in the living room lead out to the large garden and patio area at the rear of the garden, here you have a charcoal BBQ perfect for alfresco dining. You also have a further small patio area to the front. The best part, you have your very own bubbling private hot tub!.

"Fantastic cottage. Can not fault it in any way. Two large double bedrooms, both with en-suite and two decent sized twin rooms. Large living room, great kitchen diner with table to seat everyone. Hallway has loads of space to store bags and shoes. Outside area had picnic bench, BBQ and hot tub which was checked daily.Stowford Village site was good - swimming pool, golf, shop, cafe, bar and chippy.Location for coast was great - Woolacombe, Illfracombe and Combe Martin all 15-20 mins away.Can thoroughly recommend staying at Buzzard Cottage."

"Absolutely loved my stay, very clean and beautiful lodge. No issues with heating or water, both hot and shower maintained temperature no matter time of day / night.Everything you need is there, utensils, welcome pack of biscuits and coffee etc. Dog basket with treats and towels was a lovely touch. No WiFi or phone signal on site, was strange as we've become so used to using our mobiles. Was nice to be off grid for a few days though.Highly recommend a visit to Stowford, I will definitely make a return visit."

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park - EX34 0NG

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is a big hit with families and has a wonderful setting within 26 acres of Sub Tropical grounds. During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families. There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings. As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
