Buckingham Lodge was lovely, modern, and spacious, a top of the range Lodge.

We loved the ensuite corner bath and the super comfy super kingside bed.

The hot tub was fabulous and had a great view of the lake.

The only minor niggle was that there was no rear exit so to get to the hot tub you had to go out of the main door. It would have been nice if the fencing/gate extended past the door but as I say this is just a very minor suggestion for improvement.

This holiday was booked for a birthday weekend away and after a sticky start, warmed up to be a very enjoyable and comfortable break. We loved Shropshire and the lodge was very well proportioned and fitted to an exceptionally high standard.

Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Lovely place inside and out. Owners don't rush you to leave also.
Fantastic lodge fitted out to a very high standard. Hot tub amazing well worth the money .only 2 downsides were nothing at all within walking distance .& the fishing was poor very small carp.
Great lodge, great park. So peaceful
Beautiful property . Furnished to very high standard yet still feels really homely. Everything really clean and well kept. Hot tub a lovely addition as was the complimentary bottle of wine in chiller. Would most defenitely recommend to others and will be revisiting ourselves in the future.
Fabulous quiet park in the countryside, lovely dark nights with very little light pollution. Literally two minutes and you are in Wales.
Had a 4 night break in the Queens retreat absolutely beautiful will definately return
Lodge was lovely very clean and modern, lovely peaceful location, very warm and extremely comfy beds.
This is a stunning lodge with the best hot tub we've had. With a few tweaks we would have quite happily given 10/10. The view over the pond is lovely but the trees were bare so unfortunately we could see the houses which were close by. The decking are was large and lovely to relax on. We thought we were going to be away from traffic etc but we were on the edge of the village. This village doesn't have shops or eating places that we could see. Ellesmere is only a short drive which has plenty of local shops and a Tesco. Ellesmere was lovely for a walk around the mere or along the canal. Lovely tea rooms and other eating places here. There are many walks available but best to look them up before you go as at present there isn't a information book in the lodge. After speaking to the very friendly owner on departure, and mentioning the odd things to him, we feel this lodge will be an extremely high standard in a very short while. Make sure you take a hairdryer and a shaver plug if you use an electric razor.
Lodge location was really peaceful, and the lodge was really cosy. We managed to fish every day and caught carp and roach, our boys were really happy with that, especially when we were fishing in February. Bed was super comfy, and Hot Tub definitely a winner. Would definitely recommend this lodge really clean and bathroom and showers were great. Robes and slippers were provided for us, and it was Valentines weekend so rose petals on the bed and Bottle of wine were left for us. If I could make one suggestion, it would be a long handled indoor brush and mop maybe to be left in the porch, especially when my boys were coming in from fishing or the hot tub. Maybe a couple more pyrex dishes for the oven. Apart from that had a great week. Thanks.
Had the best 4 days here with my partner this was our first time staying in a lodge, we stayed in the Buckingham lodge and we couldn’t fault it it was beautiful so clean and tidy very spacious well equipped it had a private back garden with a Hot tub and decking leading right up to it, it looked lovely especially at night when it was all lit up! A perfect spot for the lodges as it was so peiceful and quite all you could here was the birds singing whilst relaxing in the hot tub, the hot tub was a real winner for us as we just wanted somewhere to relax so that was great, it’s perfect for any ages from young couples family’s or older couples, couldn’t fault a single thing! It was nice to turn up to a complementary bottle of wine, tea coffee and local biscuits that was a great touch , would also recommend a pub called ‘the keys’ which was a 10 minute drive for anybody wanting to grab some food or drinks this place was in Oswestry it had a beautiful home made menu great portion sizes and we both didnt manage to eat everything on our plates, very reasonable prices especially the drinks paying only £2.50 for a vodka/coke and jack Daniels/coke only £2.80! Would defiantly return to these lodges had the best few days here was sad to go home we will definitely be coming back here in the near future and couldn’t recommend this place enough!
We had a great time here. Fantastic lodge and location. We will defiantly be coming again.
