Southview Farm Cottage Reviews

Jade - Dec 2023
Beautiful spacious cottage with all the anemities! Excellently presented and super comfy.
Jennifer - Oct 2023
The cottage was small but surprisingly spacious and very cosy. It was very comfortable and quiet. Only thing that would have made it better would have been access to Wifi. Would happily return given the opportunity.
Conor - Oct 2023
The cottage was very cosy and very comfy, the bed especially, didn't want to get out of bed in the mornings. Every room was clean and neat. All the equipment was clean and in working order and the hot tub was perfect!
Raymond - Sep 2023
LOVELY COTTAGE WITH NICE PATIO AREA AND OFCOURSE THE HOT TUB
Chris - Sep 2023
We found the property to be spacious and on the whole clean and tidy.
Patrick - Jul 2023
Could not fault it in any way - presented very well and extremely comfortable and quiet.
Jennifer - Jun 2023
Beautiful cottage in a great location. Bed was so comfy. Hopefully return soon.
Mark - May 2023
Highly recommended from the minute we arrived until we left we were made to feel welcome by hosts very clean and tidy we will be going back in 2 years time
Gemma - Apr 2023
Beautiful cottage, super comfy bed. Has everything you need for a relaxing break away. Would definitely recommend staying here. Next time we visit we will pay the extra to have the hottub heated for arrival as we underestimated how long this would take to achieve so paying the extra will definitely be worth it.
Rebecca - Apr 2023
We had a fabulous stay at the cottage. The cottage is very clean, and the furniture is so comfortable! The hot tub was great fun, and it was nice to have a secure area for our dog to enjoy too. When we met the hosts briefly, they were very kind and friendly. This is a great base for exploring the area, with lots to see and do right on the doorstep. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here, and hope to be back soon!
Lynne - Mar 2023
Very comfortable cottage, had a lovely stay. Great hot tub.
Natalie - Feb 2023
A stunning cottage, in the perfect location! Exactly what we wanted for our anniversary. Very relaxing and dog friendly!
Marion - Feb 2023
A really comfortable cottage, specially the bed and sofa. Owners were helpful, however we were woken at 7.55 each morning due to the noise from the agricultural company next door. This didn't suit us as we like a lay in.
Chelsea - Nov 2022
We had a fantastic anniversary weekend at the cottage, it was very clean, bed was extremely comfortable, the hot tub was a lovely touch! It was just such a relaxing stay! Very modern. Great cottage we would book again. Thank you to Amanda too for the setting up of a hamper & also been just a text away when I needed to ask any questions! Fantastic h osts.
Frankie - Oct 2022
A great find in a lovely location. Super dog friendly with the fully enclosed garden, throws for the sofa and some treats on arrival too. The hot tub is a great addition, although does take a few hours to warm up. Owners are so friendly and helped with a couple of enquiries really quickly. Highly recommend and will be rebooking for next year.
Samantha - Oct 2022
We really enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable, well presented, dog friendly property. Clean and modern Nice layout Comfy bed and pillows Fresh, clean linen and towels Plenty of storage for food and clothes The hot tub was great for relaxing in, once we got the perfect temperature. The garden is fully enclosed with 6ft fencing, including the g ate, which can be locked to keep your dog safe. Thank you xx
Lauren - Sep 2022
What a perfect place to stay! Situated in a small village not far from Durham, its a great place to unwind and take a step back from the hustle and bustle of life. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay (inc dog bowls and treats which was a great touch) - the addition of the hot tub was our fave part! I couldnt reco mmend this place enough; it is a credit to the owners, Amanda & Rob who are so friendly too and offered assistance when needed! Will be returning :)
Vaughan - Sep 2022
Very clean, the owners were very friendly and helpful, location was beautiful,
Charlotte - Aug 2022

We loved the city, beach and brilliant dog walks we explored with only being short drives away. The property was done out lovely and hosts couldnt have been any more accommodatin g. Lovely stay and will be returning x

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Southview Farm Cottage. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT
about 26 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
Big Sheep - EX39 5AP
about 28 Miles
This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT
about 35 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY
about 39 Miles
This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
