Heathergate Boutique Holiday Park Reviews

"Lovely break in an excellent lodge kept in beautiful condition. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped."
Gemma - Apr 2024
"Had a lovely stay in a spa lodge this last week. Absolutely wonderful. Lodge was immaculate as was the hot tub. Lovely peaceful environment and Hexham and the surrounding area was lovely."
Lorraine - Apr 2024
"We stayed in Alder Spa Lodge and had an absolutely perfect week. The lodge was immaculate and clean, very spacious and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable. The views from the lodge were amazing (we loved having the sheep come to visit us every day), and the hot tub was very spacious and comfortable. The sauna and steam room just made it even more worth it. Staff were so friendly and helpful and we cannot wait to stay here again. Lodge would be perfect for a family as there is lots of room for children to play on the decking. Its very private, we didnt see or hear from anyone the whole week! All in all 10/10 and absolutely 100% worth the money- will definitely be returning."
Sophie - Apr 2024
"The lodge was very nice lots of room and very clean. Everything you needed."

"Lovely break"
Dawn - Mar 2024
"Amazing from start to finish! 5* plus"
Louise - Jan 2024
"Amazing lodge, we really enjoyed our stay. Hot tub was a bonus. Only thing that let it down was the mattress in main bedroom for being a five star park did not expect to feel every spring in the mattress. It would not stop us from staying again. We would have asked for it to be changed but did not want to disturb someone over the Christmas x"

"Lovely spot. Very quiet with fab views across the countryside.
The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was great.
The area was perfect for exploring Northumberland being in easy reach of Hexham, Newcastle and Hadrians Wall, as well as being close enough to drive up the coast."
Gillian - Aug 2020
"Fantastic lodge for a well deserved break. Very Well equipped and the very surprising addition of a lovely welcome pack and also robes for when you are out of the hot tub. Only let down which is very minor is the need for hooks to hang the robes when not in use."
Yvonne - Jul 2020
"Fantastic stay at heathergate country park in the Portland lodge, hot tub at night looking up at the stars was so relaxing, definitely be back again,"
David - Mar 2020
"Other than a 25 minute wait to check in despite calling both numbers on reception door a number of times, our stay was amazing. The lodge was beautiful and had everything you would need for any length of time staying. We didnt want to leave. Hot tub was serviced daily which was great."

The cabin is great, very well equipped. I could have transported the kitchen home.
On a clear night it has fantastic view of the stars.
Hexham is a lovely place. Lots of good food pubs in nearby villages.
If we were going back to that area we would definitely book there again."

Caroline - Aug 2019
"Staff were great and extremely helpful. Overall a great weekend and would most definitely be back."
Ellie - Jan 1970
"Very nice park and lodge - arrived late on Monday night and was a little perplexed at how to get in - this was quickly resolved. Booking arrangements would have benefitted from having somewhere to state likely arrival time. Bathroom vents in lodge rattled throughout the night due to wind and this disturbed the relaxing atmosphere and environment. All in all very nice site, close to Hexham and other beautiful areas - would highly recommend."
Craig - Jan 1970
"We have stayed here numerous times and it's just simply amazing.
The lodge is beautiful l, and it's a very peaceful and tranquil place.
Fully recommend the lodge and the park itself and all of the staff .
My next booking is already been made"

Doris - Jul 2022
"ticked all the boxes for us. Lovely field view from our balcony, enjoyed the wild life, glorious sunsets, hot tub. happy to stay here, relaxing, quiet. but if want bit more then, 5/10 mins from Hexham town centre, shops, takeaways etc. 10 mins from A66, 30-45 mins into Newcastle and other places on Northeast coast. Accommodation was clean, almost new, light and airy. bed comfortable, 2 bathrooms meant no waiting .. . . . . . . . . ."

Attractions Near Heathergate Boutique Holiday Park

Here are some of the activities and experiences you can enjoy on your visit to Heathergate Boutique Holiday Park. If you discover a worthy inclusion to this list on your hot tub break, please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too.
Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT
about 9 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT
about 20 Miles
Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Cragside House and Gardens - NE65 7PX
about 26 Miles
Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 31 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens - NE66 1NQ
about 35 Miles
Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.
