Cheddar Woods Resort and Spa

Somerset » Cheddar

With stunning views across the countryside, and set in an Area of Outstanding Beauty, Cheddar Woods Resort and Spa offer beautifully furnished lodges and a host of activities to suit people of all ages. The park nestles on the slopes of the Mendip Hills, close to Wells, Weston-Super-Mare and Street.

There's a magnificent tropical indoor pool as well as a fully equipped gym and health club. The kids will love to try their hands at target shooting, fencing, WaterWalkerz, sea scooters, raft building and snorkelling and there's also a soft play area and a Go Juniors activity programme.

You can hire bikes at the park and set off to explore this part of Somerset.

Axbridge Lodge Premier sleeps up to six people and has been decadently designed with every comfort in mind - a master double bedroom with ensuite power shower, flat screen TV and patio doors that lead out onto a decking area with a sunken outdoor hot tub.

Ashton Windmill at Axbridge is an 18th century flour mill with great views over Cheddar Gorge and of course, the Caves themselves are well worth visiting, with their mirror pools, stalagtites and stalagmites.

Michael, Helston, Cornwall
Date of stay: 12th July 2019
The only real concern was that there was no grab rail on either the bath or shower. For some people this would be a must. A real safety precaution.

Overall, we had a lovely few days and will probably book again at a later date.
Deborah, Plymouth

One of the best places we have stayed in the uk
James, Harwich
Date of stay: 5th July 2019
The accommodation was very good and well presented, there was however birds mess on the chairs outside and the decking had some soil on (possibly from the above guttering) however I will not mark you down on this in my rating, Value for money I had to drop my score for due to the fact I paid, it was much lower if I booked 2 days before I left
Kate, Banbury
Date of stay: 5th July 2019
I recommend this lodge in this location.

Great holiday. Bath is a gorgeous city and the surrounding area is beautiful with good access to many local attractions such as Bristol Zoo, Weston-Super-Mare, Glastonbury and the fabulous gardens at Stourhead.
Steve, Warwickshire
Date of stay: 28th June 2019
Perfect location/site for a quiet relaxing break but near enough to Bath, Wells, Bradford on Avon etc if you want to do a bit of exploring. The lodge was just what we were looking for - the bathroom in particularly was very luxurious and stunning. Staff on reception and in the bar/restaurant were exceptionally polite and helpful. All in all could not fault the site and will definitely be coming back
Bevy, Chichester
Date of stay: 28th June 2019
Would loved to have stayed longer.
Georgette, Palacefields, Runcorn

Elizabeth, Gb
Date of stay: 28th June 2019
The lodge was of a high standard as was the food and service. The only slight negative in the restaurant is that the chips were not gluten free which was hoped it would be on steak night. Other than that it was fantastic. Thanks for having us :-)
Linda, Leeds
Date of stay: 28th June 2019
It had everything we needed we really liked the floor lighting on sensors especially at night not having to put main lights on.
Caroline, Kent
Date of stay: 28th June 2019

Sophie
Lovely peaceful location. The lodge was very comfortable and relaxing. We would definitely visit again. Loved the cocktails
Nicola
Fantastic time ,staff were lovely nothing was too much trouble
Fantastic lodge, modern, clean and well equipped.
NIKKI
Beautiful spacious lodges, beautiful setting, extremely peaceful, babbling brook meandering through the park, so tranquil, staff are really happy and friendly, pub is in a lovely setting and looks lovely inside. A real feel good place for the soul where you can feel the stresses of everyday life slipping away as soon as you arrive. We will most certainly be back
Richard
We had an amazing time,we had our 50th wedding anniversary party at the mill, the mill and the lodges were amazing and we will certainly go back there
Lisa
Very peaceful. Stream outside which was very quaint. All in a relaxing short just what I needed.
Jane
Excellent lodge, well equipped. Luxurious
Maxine
Had a great time. The lodge was a real home from home very comfortable. Only let down was not having shop to buy essential supplies.
Steven
We really enjoyed our stay at Bath Mill. Very quiet and peaceful. The lodge was beautifully presented and spotless throughout. Everything you need is there, ample kitchen equipment etc. We didn't use the outside decking area as it wasn't the weather for it, but it would be a nice space if so. We paid extra for a waters edge lodge, but I'm not sure its worth what is quite a considerable increase. Go for the same lodge away from the brook would be my advice. The bar and resturant were very good. Half price cocktails between 4pm & 6pm are popular and very good value too. Food is a bit pricey but very tasty. Staff were all very approachable and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. You can walk into Bath from the site, but there is a very good bus service too and saver tickets are well worth investing in. Car parking in Bath is not as expensive as you might think £8 approx for a day, but they do fill up quickly. We liked it so much we have rebooked, which probably tells you enough
Nicole
Absolutely amazing lodges. Was hoping their was a little more to do on site as it is a little further away from the city centre. All staff extremely friendly and helpful!! Would recommend for a relaxing trip!
Alan
Clean well equipped lodge in pleasant surroundings, convenient for Bath park and ride.
Stephen
I do not normally leave reviews but i would like to say how happy i am to recommend staying at Bath Mill Lodge retreat. From the friendly glass of champagne greeting at reception and the overall quality of the park and the lodge itself. The area is very quiet and the lodges are equipped to a very high standard and spacious with everything you need we stayed at a 6 bedroom and the extra ensuite bathroom was handy. The close proximity to Bath is also a plus , if visiting the area again would stay here.
