First class lodge with excellent facilities and stunning views down the valley . We will definitely be back.
We spent 4 nights/5 days staying in Oscars Lodge which was extremely welcoming and warm. The owners were very helpful as the lane to the lodges was snowed in and they had to tow us up the last few metres when we got stuck. The area is stunning and was even more beautiful because of the snow. The hot tub was outstanding. It was very much home from home and a thoroughly enjoyable relaxing time venturing into the forest. Excellent time had by all.
The location is good with beautiful views over towards Scotland and as Eagle's View is at the furthest edge, the chalet is not overlooked and no-one goes past. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable; the heating was excellent ( we were there in snowy and cold weather). The kitchen was reasonably well set-up; the cooker and dishwasher excellent.
A very pleasant short winter break
Lodge was excellent!!!! Location is great for those who like to be remote. Unfortunately we were booked up when it snowed, so wasn't a lot we could do except hikes but they were great in snow (we were snowed in and couldn't get to car as it was buried). The owners Jackie and David were great and accommodating as they offered to let us stay on longer free of charge, on leaving they towed us to the main road which we really appreciated as there was no other way of getting out with the snow. We enjoyed it that much ,we're planning on going again to visit and do all the activities we missed out on.
Would visit again but in the summer time
warm, clean cosy lodges. great location for kielder village. Lovely Sunday lunch in the anglers arms.
Wonderful lodge with fantastic views, well catered had everything we needed for or long weekend stay.
Exceeded expectations in every way, soo much so we booked again for next year as soon as we got home. Loved it and so did our puppy she cant wait to return!
This was an amazing lodge to stay at. I’ve never been to a one with such a view from the hot tub. The insides were immaculate and minutes from the observatory and visitors centre. Cannot rate this cabin highly enough.
Perfect location, top class accommodation and great value for money. We will definitely be back.
