"We decided to spend a long weekend at Rockingham Forest to visit our son in Stamford and overall, we really enjoyed it. The booking process was simple and we got regular updates, which was helpful. The lodge itself was fantastic-spotlessly clean, really spacious and the beds were super comfy, which made a big difference. We appreciated the clear signage for walks and facilities around the site. The cafes takeaway pizza was a real treat! The only downside was parking-some lodges had two spaces, but ours only had one and parking was a bit tight. Still, we had a great time and will definitely return!"

"My partner and I stayed at this place from Monday to Friday, in the Skylark lodge which has two bedrooms, each with an en suite and a hot tub outside. The hot tub was checked daily by the staff and we didnt have any issues at all. The lounge, dining area and kitchen were all open-plan, really bright and pretty spacious - super comfy too! One of our favourite features was the Bluetooth speakers built into the ceiling, which was a nice touch. The bed was really comfy and even on those warm nights, we could open the bathroom door (which doubles as a window) and the bedroom windows to get a nice breeze going. My only tiny gripe was that the bedding was a bit thick for me, but Im used to lighter covers since Im naturally a warm sleeper. We spent plenty of time exploring the local wildlife, watching planes and checking out nearby towns. Ive already planned to come back in winter for my birthday - we loved it that much and cant wait to return!"

"Rockingham really knows how to make you feel at home. From the friendly staff to the spotless cabins, everything's spot on. We love the little touches like the tea, coffee and biscuits - so thoughtful! The hot tub is perfect, always checked and ready. We've been six times and already booked for next year. "We recently stayed at these new lodges and I have to say, the condition was top-notch. Everything looked fresh and well-maintained. The rooms were roomy enough for the two of us and the bathrooms were surprisingly well stocked - really handy! The dining area was spacious, with a lovely extending table, even for just two. The decking outside was great, big enough for relaxing, complete with a parasol, table and chairs - perfect for sunny days. What really stood out was the manual; honestly, its the most detailed one we've ever seen, covering everything from how to use the cooker to what to do if someone goes missing - full marks there! Were definitely considering trying other Landal sites, even if not all will be as pristine as this one. Overall, a really pleasant stay!"

"We had a really lovely stay at this place, tucked away in such a peaceful, private spot. The owners were super friendly and always ready to help if needed, but it never felt intrusive. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day cycling around the area. Only thing to mention is that the cottage is quite close to Stansted's flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much after a while, but its worth noting if you're sensitive to noise. Overall, a great find!"

"We absolutely love this lodge! The undercover hot tub and the enclosed terrace are perfect for our dogs to run around safely. The beds are super comfy-huge with plush bedding and loads of pillows, which is a real treat. The lounge is cosy but could do with some cushions, though we dont mind bringing our own. A little nest of tables would be handy too. Apart from that, its pretty much perfect. Cant wait to come back next month!"

"We had a lovely stay at this good place! The location is stunning and very private, perfect for some peace and quiet. The owners are genuinely friendly and always happy to help if needed, without intruding on your space. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling - such a treat! The only thing to note is that the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didnt ruin our break at all. Definitely recommend!"

"We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a weekend stay at The Kingscliff and brought our dog along. It was perfect because there was enough room for his crate and plenty of space for us to relax. I really appreciated the gate at the front door, so we could leave the doors open without worries and George could wander freely. This isnt a budget spot, but if youre after peace and quality, its definitely worth considering. Wed come back!"

"We had a brilliant stay. The lodge was a really good size with plenty of space for the children to play. Loved the hot tub. Enjoyed watching all the animals around the park. Only thing missing was a childrens play area, but there is loads of space for them to run around and play in the fields. The shop was really well stocked and reasonably priced."

"Fantastic week .the castor lodge was to die for ,well stocked kitchen love the wine fridge nice touch fresh milk in the fridge waiting very comfortable stay so lovely to unwind and chill out. the walks in the grounds are fantastic lovely seen all the wildlife .. there is a lovely little coffee & cake shop/on site shop full of anything you need very lovely and friendly lady in there .. all staff are so nice and helpful friendly. Definitely would stay again five-star accommodation."

"The site has 56 high spec lodges surrounded by forest, only just over a year old so all in immaculate condition. The grounds are vast and all very well kept . It looks like the site is going to be developed with further lodges in the future as the reception area and a small shop selling provisions is 1 mile from the current lodges, you drive down a well lit tarmac road to get there. Site is very peaceful as there are no other facilities . Lots of nice walks from lodges and dogs are allowed in some lodges. Our only criticism was check in was a bit chaotic. Check in was 4pm, we arrived at 3-40pm to be told along with everyone else that lodges weren't ready, with limited parking available this caused a few problems . As you might expect everyone started to gather at 4pm and a long queue formed. We finally got our key at 4-30pm. We have stayed in lots of lodges over the course of years and this has never occurred before, so I hope they can sort this problem out as we would definitely like to return as the park is in a great place for visiting the Rutland area"
