Landal Woodland Lakes Reviews

"Even though we booked the most basic lodge, we had a fab holiday. It could have been 5 stars but a couple of things have meant Ive marked it down. The lodge itself could do with a full deep clean and a bit of a refresh. Mainly areas that dont really have an impact on you, cobwebs and dust on high points, stains on radiators, vinyl peeling off the kitchen cupboards. Didnt impact the holiday itself but would make it nicer. The thing that did impact the holiday was the hot tub lid. It was dated and so heavy. I went with my 5yo daughter so had to open the hot tub alone. Im not weak by any means and opening the tub was manageable but it was an ordeal getting it closed again. However, a staff member seemed to spot this on day two and took some pics without me mentioning it and he arrived on day 4 with a new lid. It was soooo much easier after that but unfortunately that was our last night."

"No wifi Dusty dirty around cooker Not enough work space in kitchen to cook Microwave in boiler cupboard so had to lift it out to use But if old people were in it would be a struggle"

"The lodge feels a bit tired and could do with some fixing up, especially the kitchen. There are no lamps, which was a bit of a surprise, but it does have everything you need. Overall, its okay if youre just looking for a place to stay without high expectations."
Emma Carter - Mar 2025
"We had an amazing stay! The site was spotless and well looked after, really loved how peaceful it was. The lodge was super clean and comfy. The on-site facilities, especially the spa and baths, were a real treat. Kids loved spotting the wildlife and goats around. Thirsk's just a quick drive and the pub nearby was lovely. Well definitely be back!"

"Ellery lodge was lovely, very nicely done out & big enough for 4. Great position on the park with the decking over the water, great to watch the ducks. Lovely hot tub that worked great & nice temperature. Nice living area as well with corner sofa that was comfy. Husband not happy no wifi but didnt bother me. Doors were a little creaky they could do with oiling but other than that no complaints at all."
Lynsey - Mar 2025
"We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, it was lovely overall. Just a few things to improve: adding some lamps would make it cozier and netting curtains could offer better privacy alongside the main ones. Also, a proper outdoor light near the hot tub and some washing up liquid would be handy. Cheers!"
Emily Carter - Feb 2025

Kevin - Feb 2025

"We stayed for a couple of nights with our young kids and had a lovely time. The lodge we booked had a broken boiler, but they upgraded us to something even nicer, which was a real bonus. The kids loved feeding the ducks in the mornings - such a sweet touch! Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Well definitely be back!"

"Nice place, good facilities and staff. We will return ?"
David - Aug 2022
"We had a really lovely holiday and would definitely return and recommend to other people. The only thing I would say is for the price you pay a few more basic items could be added to the cabin like washing up liquid, toilet bleach, anti bac spray more toilet roll and a small milk maybe? We don’t drive and had to order the other items in, but if I would have known I would have bought them with me. Also if there was an option of having the towels changed once during the week that would have been really good. However it’s a fab place to stay and we all had a really great time so thanks very much. The staff were friendly helpful and professional at all times and facilities were great!"
Thomas - Aug 2022
"What a beautiful location. The lodge was brand new and so comfortable and clean. Everything we needed apart from a long handled brush. If you want to keep the lodges in this top top condition you need to help the guests look after them too. It’s hard to sweep a floor with a dust pan and brush! The facilities were good especially the pool being free. Water activities need more equipment though. And ohhh the hot tub how fabulous was that! It made our holiday. All in all fantastic and I will definitely be coming back soon."
Sandra - Aug 2022
"Pleasant surroundings, comfortable lodge. Good places to visit nearby."
Marilyn - Jul 2022
"Fabulous holiday, loved the lodge, lovely and modern. Only issue was the hottub got a little dirty after on the third day, we told a member of staff but wasn't rectified for us. Mentioned it was because of the extreme heat and it was a brand new hottub so hopefully just a one off. Restaurant was gorgeous and the sports bar is a nice touch. Overall we would return in the future."
Bethany - Jul 2022
"Brilliant week!!!!"
Mary - Jul 2022
"Lovely quiet site with good facilities and great staff and services."
Kennedy - Jul 2022
"We stayed in the dog friendly Aspen Lodge, which had a gated decking area which was great for the dog to have freedom, lodge was very spacious & clean & everything provided, hot tub was a bonus, location is amazing & fishing on site, very friendly staff, highly recommend & will definitely return."
Joan - Jul 2022
"Thoroughly recommend this park, a nice size, clean and tidy. Very handy having a the restaurant and sports bar located next door. Swimming pool, soft play, cafe and mini shop all very useful."
